These guys rock! Love the freshwater selection of fish, shrimp, snails, and live plants. Great prices and friendly staff, so glad they opened up a shop in Alpena and it's right inside the mall. Thanks for all your help guys, looking forward to our next trip in!

Overall is a very good place love the animals there and the staff are wonderful, the only thing I have an issue with is they never take many of the animals out to have a human interaction, so they are pretty much wild animals forced in a cage

Received sick animals, and then disrespected and called a liar when I left a bad review. I'm appalled by the caging conditions that the animals must endure, some of which are no bigger than 1 sq. ft. I worry about the health of these animals based on my own experience, and will not be quieted since they can't handle any criticism.

I love coming here and just watch the beautiful birds while my 13 yr old granddaughter plays with an adorable little ferret he is so cute her mama came a couple weeks ago and so now next Saturday they r comin 2 put a deposit down 2 hold 1 she hope the 1 she plays with when she comes over that he's still there cuz that 1 is the 1 she really wants but we'll c when we go next Saturday so we'll c u then !!! Love the various types of fish and reptiles and bunnies and it's just all around a good pet store and I'm glad we have 1 here in Alpena

Went to the pet store the other day, me being happy to see my favorite bird (African grey parrot) I asked if it was for sale the women at the counter said "Sorry no he's not for sale he promotes our business" I didn't mind what she said but it's the way she said it that pissed me off. I then asked if I could oet it and she said "no he bites" but i see it walking around the front counter allowing people to pet it. The women there was VERY disrespectful towards me. I'm not to happy about they're service one bit. (Karmas a fish pet store in the mall) so if you're looking for a pet dont get service from the women at the front counter ask for someone that'll respect you more.

I put a deposit on a cockatiel about two weeks ago and told them I was coming back on Friday. Apparently, they didn’t think I was coming back so they sold the bird without even calling to make sure. When we got there I was so excited to finally get the bird I wanted after asking for one for over a year. I didn’t see the bird in the cage at the front so I thought they were just holding it for me in a different cage. I was absolutely devastated when they told me what happened. They made me pick out a different one which took over an hour to find the right one, she didn’t say much the entire time this was going on, I guess she just didn’t give a rat’s a** that there’s a 14 year old girl crying in the middle of her store because she just stole my bird and my money. Great service people. Absolutely incredible.

Karma's A Fish was a godsend when they open up in this area. It saved me a ton of traveling for my aquatic hoppy. The friendly staff and great selection of fish really impressed me and continues to impress me everytime I go in. Need I not forget about their wide variety of exotic animals as well. Plus if they don't have what you're looking for don't hesitate to talk to Brandon and Shelly they'll order it for you. They took care of everything I needed to set up my 130gal freshwater turtle tank, as well as revamp my african cichlid as well. (See pictures)

My girlfriend went in there a few months back and bought two rats that she was told were two male rats pulled from the same cage. We then found out that there was a male and female. The female being obviously smaller they sold to her as “small male rat” and she in now pregnant. Its ridiculous
