Stay away! The business uses bait-and-switch pricing, knowingly advertising lower ATV rental prices on their website, compared to billed amounts. Expect to pay about 20% more than the advertised price. Communication with them has been terrible from the very beginning, starting from them being unable to send a confirmation email despite multiple phone requests (so that we would not know the total amount before we come to pick up the rental vehicles), to repeatedly hanging up when trying to call them to discuss the billed price discrepancies. Terrible business practices, would not recommend ever renting from them.

I bought a new Seadoo this summer. My take away from my purchase and this dealership is that I felt like a transaction. During the process of the sale nobody ever called me during the process from start to end. I called them. Should be the other way around. When I picked up the machine I was in and out quickly. That’s good and bad. Nobody ever went over how to operate the machine, warranty info or anything. Basically sign this and I was on my way. A guy who helped me load the jetski told me how to put the cover on that’s it. So I had to go home and research break in period, warranty info, oil change schedule and learn about all that. Also, the plastic on the hood had melted plastic on it from a sticker and wouldn’t come off. Looks like it was baked on from sitting in the sun with no cover on. Which likely happened because it was a 2018 model not 2019. Nobody cleaned it up or took it off and i know why...because it was next to impossible to get off not damaging the plastic which I did after several attempts with different products. So I will need a new cover now on my dime. After the sale I received a letter in the mail thanking me for the purchase but nobody checking in or anything how the machine is working out. I will be buying another jet ski. Nothing will draw me here to buy again because I didn’t really have an experience or service that showed they wanted me back. Just felt like a one and done.

Had a terrible experience. Would never recommend. We took our boat in because we had oil leaking. Also, asked that they tune the boat up (to which they asked, "what do you mean?" which was strange). Anyway, we were told over the phone they would get to the servicing of our boat in a week. When we brought it in they said 2 to 3 weeks. We said fine. Heard nothing from them, and called after 3 weeks. Were told they were just starting on it. Heard nothing. Called a few days later, and was told "it's just being brought in now." Finally, after 5 weeks (all of July and the first week of August, the best boating weather in the U.P.), we were told it was done. Paid for it over the phone. Asked that they leave it readily available so we could pick it up after hours. Get there to find a very large boat parked perpendicular right in front of ours. Also, the cover was left off, our tool box was left open (contents wet), and the bilge plug missing. Took a while, but we were able to move a couple boats adjacent to ours and maneuver the boat out. ...Dropped it in the water the next day. It back fired and smoked like an old lawn mower, and the reverse drive didn't work. Called to speak to an owner. Couldn't get past the manager. Vented our complaints to him. He told us they would give us no partial refund or anything. Said they tested the boat before we got there and it was fine. Period. Now we are disputing the charge through our VISA, and have to take the boat to another shop to fix the problem. Spent almost $700 for this mess! (IN RESPONSE TO OWNER... We spoke with the manager twice. He certainly has our number if he'd like to reach out.)

February 5, 2018. Big group of us from Pittsburgh, snowmobiling, had a break down. Service at fish and hunt got the sled in the next morning, and had clutch fixed by 11am, that's service !!!!!!!! Back on vacation, sledding. BTW, not only service being top notch, but it was also reasonable. We will not hesitate to come back again. Thanks

Rented a fishing boat that was supposed to come with a trolling motor and didnt. Very little education on the boat or fish finder. Broken straps that secured the rear of the boat down we had to engineer a different method of using them. When returning the boat they wanted us to just drop off the boat and if there was a "problen" they would call us. This was unacceptable so we had to wait on a final inspection.

Anyone considering renting sleds from here better budget on spending an extra $200-$300 per sled. A few minor damages on two snowmobiles turned into a $1500 bill. We were charged $500 for labor alone. This place has a monopoly on sleds, clothing, and material, and they know it; therefore, they get as much as humanly possible out of you. I understand paying a little to cover damages, but $1500 is ridiculous, especially $500 labor. In the long run, they are the big losers because we planned on renting from there again - we'll never be back.

Far overcharged for very minor repairs and labor on sleds that were still completely operational for a whole day of driving. Huge waste of time and money for the large group of guys we had!!Would definitely not recommend this place to anyone if you're going through Curtis, Michigan.

Dishonest and a rip off and they are snobby. We rented 4 sleds and first off we were told the sleds were 2017 and they were 2015 sleds. And then we had a really small accident with one and bent the ski just a little bit and broke ONLY the glass in the mirror and we drove it for another 150 miles with no problem at all. then we turned it in and these people totally took advantage of us by charging $1,200. Charging us $270 just for the glass on the mirror when they probably have 100ds of them back in stock. One Rivet(screw) was $8. We could buy a box of rivets for $8. I do have proof because I have a pic of the receipt. I could show the other things that we were completely over charged with If you ask in the comments. I will never go back here and get completely taken advantaged of again.

These guys are the best! My wifes sled lost a cylinder and dropped it off Monday morning and had it fixed Wednesday morning. Run like a top all week we were here. Highly recommend these guys. Will make my next purchase from these guys.

Same story as numerous others on here. Minor damage to 1 part on sled that should have been around $200 & they went ahead and replaced everything in rear end for $700. Disputed the charge & was refunded the difference.

BEWARE. Total insanity of a business! Extremely rude owner and NOT willing to correct THEIR wrongs. Worst experience ever for my family. Rented a boat, a worker dropped us off somewhere at the lake, like 3 miles away from this fish and hunt shop (as if we knew where we were) he didnt have a clue where to point us in the direction of our cabin we rented. HORRIBLE. Had to waste out gas just driving around the lake trying to find our cabins and big manistique lake is HUGE. Will NEVER go near that place again, and my wife works for trip advisor so she will be posting the precautions as well.

Think about the greasiest used car salesman you've ever come across in your life and multiply that by 1000x, and that is the Fish and Hunt shop in Curtis.

Wish I wrote a review last year but decided to give them another chance...MISTAKE!! Rented 4 sleds huge expense and we were told the sleds had visor hookups. They delivered 2 correct sleds then 2 two up sleds that we did not rent. Called but got no where on the phone drove up there to get what we ordered to find out they did not have visor hook ups we insisted they install them they are literally $5 and takes minutes to do so. Not to mention for liability reasons you think that would be standard ! The owner would not even acknowledge the situation until I got very upset. They finally installed them and we wasted half a day. This year I called ahead made sure I explained what we wanted in full detail . When we arrived we got worse treatment to the point my husband asked if we were inconveniencing them. They charged delivery fee that was no where on our contract and never discussed on the phone. This place because it is the only location that rents feels they can take advantage of people and treat us poorly because we have no other options. I will not give them our business ever again and hope you consider the same...

GREAT REPAIR SERVICE: Took my 115 Mercury 4 stroke EFI boat motor in for my own perceived problem. Jeff in Service Department ran tests in shop, and then ran it on the Lake to prove everything was OK, then called and took time to explain things. Fast service during the busy part of summer, and good value when paying the bill. Many other good stories I could tell from 35 years of experience here with boats and snowmobiles. Fish and Hunt has quality people in sales, service, and parts - good employees throughout the store who take care of a customers needs.

Ordered an impeller through the parts department for my boat. The guy acted like he didn't want to be bothered but out came the catalogs. Instantly I was transported back to the 80's as I watched him flip back and forth through this catalog. I forgot to mention I brought in the pump housing as well as the impeller for reference. Now I had already ordered an impeller from iboats but I was sure it would be the right one and I had better have an expert order me one as well so I could get out on the water quickly. Part cane in they called I picked it up and it was not the one I needed. To big and all the wrong gaskets. Iboats delivered and wouldn't you know it I had ordered the right one. I wouldn't take anything to them for repair or order another part from them.

Really rude people. My brother and I were up to the U.P. on a snowmobile trip. (February 2017) Unfortunately his sled broke down so we called around to rent one for him. The lady that answered the phone was really nice and said they would rent us one even though the weather was warm. We drove an hour and when we got there the lady we talked to was out to lunch and the lady that came out from the back was really rude and disrespectful. She initially refused to rent us a sled but after cussing about how it was too warm out she regretfully gave in like she hated us and just wanted us out of her face... Not cool and no way to run a business. We wont be back... not in a million years.

Highly recommend this shop!!! My brand new sled was overheating due to thermostat and coolant issues. Trailered it over to them and they had it all fixed within an hour. Rodney, Jeff and their mechanics all provided service way beyond my expectations. Look forward to doing more business with them in the future. Saved my trip and weekend.
