Friends of ours traveled to Boston recently and had a wonderful lunch consisting of lobster rolls, clam chowder and oysters on the half shell. We've been there once before but I never wrote a review and I also remember how terrific our meals were. The lobster rolls were fantastic, the clam chowder was the best ever and the service was quick and friendly. Having been in the restaurant business my entire career the three things that make a restaurant successful are: the food has to be great, the service excellent and the place has to be clean. I'm glad friends of ours go to a place we like based on our recommendation and come back raving about it. We're heading north soon to do some leaf peeping and have definitely placed Red's Best Seafood Market on our list of places to go at least a couple of times if not more... I wonder if they'll deliver to Ogunquit! See you soon Red's Best!

Very good food. I had a 1 1/4 lb lobster that was steamed. It was great and when I got it, it was cut open so eating was easy and delicious. The tail was split in half so all you must do is pull out the meat, great. The reason this is not a 5 star is because the other order I had in my group was not correct and the cook was arguing when the person wanted to exchange it to what they ordered. It was the employee who took the orders fault and it was finally corrected. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant because my steamed lobster was amazing.

When in MA you must have clam chowder and this is a spot that I recommend. A lot of clam chowders I've had had little bits of clam but here there were larger chunks and it wasn't too salty either. Their lobster roll was amazing as well. It's on a great toasted brioche bun and the lobster was meaty. There isn't a lot of seating but you can eat while walking about in the market.

The customer service was amazing! My wife and I were only in town for a short stint, and the guys here made us feel so welcome. The oysters were top notch (get the Old Coves!) and the fish you could tell was super fresh. Being a part of the market also makes for a good meal out. Definitely coming back on my next visit.

Best lobster rolls in town! Their bread is lightly toasted and fluffy. The lobster is fresh and juicy with just the right amount of mayo sauce tossed in. It wasn’t overly heavy (too much mayo) and really preserved the beautiful flavor of the lobster.

One Star because Went to buy a bottle of water sign says dollar fifty. Rings up at register at a dollar fifty. You can see the register display it says a dollar fifty. Employee tries to tell me it's a dollar sixty. When I pushed back employee insisted it was a dollar sixty. Told them to keep it. I emailed the store later in the day relating my experience in my concerns. Mainly that either their inventories and priced correctly or employees are trying to make money off of tourist pocketing the $0.10 every time they overcharged somebody. I have yet to hear back from company even though I received the automated thank you for your email will get back to you message. That was a week and a half ago on August 31st. My suspicion is that they don't want to deal with the issue or don't believe me regardless I'd say spend your money elsewhere in the Boston Public Market which is a great place and lots of great vendors. Update...heard back from Ryan at red's...he verified it was the meals tax that madevthe price 1.60..says he will check into the register issue. I appreciated the outreach...as my main concern was the register saying one price and being charged another... I will visit again soon and update again

I have to say that I am extremely disappointed. While on vacation to Boston last week, I ordered a gift to be delivered to my mom for taking care of my dogs while I was away. Not only did she not receive the lobster, I have emailed and I have a left a message asking for help to determine what the status is and why this has happened. I have gotten no response. Thank you for ruining the surprise and making this an awful experience.

Awful disgusting restaurant. It's full of health code violations. Don't eat the sushi it's not temperature controlled during preparation. Cross contamination is everywhere. Hygiene is awful there. Don't eat there unless you want to go to the hospital!
