Great atmosphere. Good food. There's even a place for the kids to play while waiting for your order. The kids meals also come on a frisbee that they get to keep when you leave.

This place is really cool! The restaurant itself gets so much business and gets really crowded at times, especially during dinner. We tried to go twice for dinner, but it ended up being an hour and a half wait so we went elsewhere. I am so glad we came back a third time for lunch! It was less crowded then. The service was great! The waitress was very friendly (I loved Rhonda!) and the food was also great! The blackened flounder was sooo good; the spices and sandwich balanced each other. We ended up coming back the next day for this! I also got a shrimp bowl, which wasn’t as good, but still pretty decent for lunch! I’d recommend coming early!

Nice place to have a drink, but not for food. I order Calamari, over fried, seems like the cooking oil didn't been changed for weeks, I found some fries in my plate. I love Calamari but definitely the worst one I ever tried. Sorry for the review but that's the truth.

We ate here as a bad thunderstorm arrived. We waited an hour for a table and halfway through our meal the lightning was getting very close. We asked our server and the manager multiple times if we could move to the many open tables inside and under cover. Our server was concerned that we were getting wet and the danger of the lightning. The manager told us that we couldn't move to an open table because they were seating other people there. We had waited an hour and been there long before these other people. We should have taken priority. She showed no concern for our safety other than to tell us to hurry up and eat. It was ridiculous. I ended the meal soaking wet and our kids were scared from the lightning. Definitely not a safe way to eat. If not for the manager it would be a 5 star review because the food was great and so was our server.

We ate there Sunday afternoon and had a great time. They were full but not busy to the point we had to wait long. We had a table in under 10 minutes & drinks in 5 minutes of being greeted. Service was friendly & excellent. We ordered 6-7 apps. Everything came out quick and cooked to perfection. Highlights were the sliders & calamari. Another highlight is our kids got to run around in the Pirate themed play area while we relaxed with our drinks. If you want the feel of sitting on the beach with an awesome view, great food at a nice price, a place to take kids, all in a laid back beach atmosphere Fishtales is the spot.

Drinks were reasonably priced and service was very good. Nice atmosphere by the water but the shrimp I got were kind of grimy and rubbery. Their pimento dip was also candy-sweet for some reason and neither my fiancée nor I liked it at all. First visit so I'd give them another try but I was kind of disappointed after hearing good things about the food here.

Very good food, GREAT atmosphere & GREAT service. We were there for lunch and we were promptly seated, which was a concern for us as Fish Tales has a reputation for being very busy with long waits. We had an enjoyable experience and very good food. However based on this experience I don't think its worth the 1 hour + waits that seem commonplace during dinner hours but maybe Fish Tales dinner menu is just that great.

Love the black bean sandwich here with salt and pepper bread! If you’re a vegetarian and looking for some options other than pizza this is the place to be. Also the servers are super nice and love the lively atmosphere in general with sand, water and sunset!

Great place. The sea food burrito is a must try. Cocktails were overpriced and watered down, but cant complain much about that. And make sure you have your ID with you or else you wont be scoring the white band needed for drinks. They are really strict about that

Wasn't too fond of the apps. I had the chicken tenders and calamari. They were overcooked and also the batter on the calamari was too overwhelming with sodium. It's in a great location right next to the water. I loved the outdoor seating right on the sand. And a nice big adventure playground for kids

Severely long waits to be seated. I ordered a spicy margarita and it wasn’t spicy and lacked the kick of tequila. I ordered their cold cut sandwich and it wasn’t flavorful and was too greasy. However, our waitress was very nice and our food / drinks came out quickly. The views are also very nice here. I’d recommend coming for happy hour and enjoying the view.

Of the 3 or 4 bayside, family friendly, seafood-y type places we've tried in Ocean City, this is my favorite. There is an extensive amount of outdoor seating with beautiful bay views. Our server was friendly and laid back. The food is delicious. Just one caveat--the place gets PACKED at dinner time. Go early (4 to 5-ish) if you don't want to wait 2 hours for a table.

Service and drinks were good but the food was not. My friend had the crab and avocado sandwich and she took one bite and thought it was terrible. She is not one to complain. I was surprised the waiters didn’t ask if it was OK because the plate was practically untouched. I had the fried flounder sandwich which was soggy and more bun than fish. My husband liked the ahi tuna tacos. The location is great but I think when you have such a high volume of customers you are cooking In mass quantities which compromises the quality.

Great spot next to a marina. Kid friendly. They handled our big group well. Our server was friendly and she hustled our drinks and food no problem. The wings had good flavor but were soggy. Fish tacos were good. Most of our group left but some of us stayed to play corn hole and have more drinks. The staff were super nice to light an outdoor heater for my wife. Next time we are in OC we plan on going back.

Good food. Always very busy so there's a pretty long wait. I guess the food is worth the wait. Outdoor, indoor, and bar seating. There are jet skiing and floating tiki bar rentals. Adults only lounge with hanging chairs. There's also an arcade and playground.

Beth was a great waitress. She kept our drinks full and was always smiling. This was our first visit but not our last. The food was delicious and plentiful!!!!! The atmosphere was spectacular and there was plenty of fun to keep kids busy while waiting.

Great family friendly atmosphere. A pirate themed playground built into the reaturant for your children to play at while you wait for your meal. There are picnic tables to eat at that sit in thr sand on a doc that overlooks the bay it has great vewis all day but especially at sunset. You can also come via boat and dock it. This is a real hidden gem. The dress for this restaurant is super casual and laid back. Think of this place as a family friends Secrets that is also less jammed with people and way cleaner. This is a must go to before leaving OCMD. You will regret not going here.

We needed ketchup and sauces....took forever more than 1/2 sandwich gone by the time we got condiments. Not team players. Would we go again?. Yes.

Stopped in for lunch. Started with the Carolina Hot Chicken and Biscuts. Awesome flavor. A little spicy for my taste, but I'm not a huge spicy eater. The Turkey Cobb wrap was fantastic. Service was great. Our waitress Leah made sure to answer all our questions and offer recommendations. Would highly recommend!

The outside play area is fantastic. Great cocktails. Very good food. I had the seafood burrito, which I wouldn't do again because it just seemed like a confused meal (asian fried rice, shellfish salad, enchilado burrito, guacamole chips, just too many different things going on for me), but the apps were great, as was my wife's mahi bowl.

Great place to eat! My new favorite lunch and dinner in OC. Reasonably priced with a huge selection of items. Our favorite is definitely the seafood potato bake it is phenomenal! Only issue ive had is they dont have a very good fresh brewed sweet tea but hopefully that will change. The place is very open with multiple ways to dine whether outside or in and the staff is always wonderful! Will continue to support a great Ocean city experience!

My family and I love Fish Tales, especially my daughter. She love playing on the playground there. The atmosphere is such a relaxing atmosphere. It feel like you are on a Caribbean island. The food is amazing too. This is our second time here. We’re going to come back every year we go down to Ocean City.

First off, Lexi was great. My wife happen to see the lacation as we were driving downtown. We went online and liked the menu so we went there. What we liked: The view especially as the sun gets lower. The kid friendly playground. Variety of menu items, we both tried the Seafood Baker. Never had anything quite like it. It was great. Went for lunch on Friday right when it opened. We got a great table right by the playground and the kids could just run free (with our supervision) as we waited for lunch. Had some really great drinks. Highly recommend the RumRunner or Creamsicle. Food was decent and everything was price fair for a beach location.

We ate here with my parents, wife and toddler. The kids menu was all fried food options. My mom and wife both got the seafood burritos... Decent amount there but extremely salty which leads me to think it's not fresh. We all shared the tuna bowl appetizer which was decent and mozzarella sticks which were standard issue. The chicken ceaser was a generous portion and probably the only thing I'd recommend. Dad had ribs which were a good portion. I had the steak and crab cake, steak was good and crab cake was very salty also. In general everything was meh at best, about the same as every other one time try and done restaurant in OC. But at least I got this sweet plastic $260 cup to show for it.

Very fun bar right on the bay. Plenty of benches to sit on if you dont get a table or the hammock chairs. Ledges along the docks too to set your drink on and enjoy the veiw. Awesome playground area for kids as well. Bartender was super nice even though it was quite busy. You can also get floating tiki bars that have a motor and take you around the bay for two hours.

Restaurant advertises as being dog friendly - but they really aren’t they only have a small portion of the bar where you can have dogs and then you have to go up to the bar to order (but where that is the dog can’t be) so if you are there by yourself with your dog you basically can’t go. Super disappointed that that we couldn’t stay and were misled by their advertisements in a dog magazine.

Took my kids for a meal and was told an hour and 45 minute wait who would wait that long and it seemed as though their were way too many adults there looking for a drink. I don't really know if this is a great atmosphere for children. It was very very crowded and I peeked at the menus and didn't look like it boasted a huge selection sorry but no good in my book and when we walked in they put this strap on your wrist you have to cut to get off it's supposed to look like fish tales.

Horrible!! I wish I could leave a zero star! I can understand this place gets busy..ok..it was an hour wait, no problem. Issue was that after 2 hours..they told us another 45 min!! What made things worse is wgile waiting we ordered some food..it was BAD! I got sick that same night. I think the ONLY reason this place is around is because of the tourist...and they got me too! STAY AWAY!!

Came here with a party of 9 at 7pm on a Friday night. We were quoted an hour and forty five minutes, left our name and proceeded to wait. Let me tell you about how beautiful it was to watch the sunset while we waited. After waiting the full hour and forty five we got sat and it was totally worth it. Food was amazing and so many options for anyone. Staff super quick and efficient. Amazing experience to spend with friends.

Beautiful view of the bayside, they have daily weigh ins right there so you can check out the biggest fish if the day. Outdoor games for kids and adults alike, like corn hole and several others. Definitely a cool place for the while family

Great place to eat, it's in the sand so no bottles for alcohol if you have a preference. Very busy even when we visited on a Monday, the wait was over an hour so we had to come back Tuesday and got in right away. There is a playground in the sand for your kids if there is a bit of a wait, so the place is very kid friendly. Definitely worth a visit if your in the area, food was a little pricey but top notch!

There is only outdoor seating. Just make sure you dress for the weather. Great views of the sunset. Staff is very friendly. One great thing was how quick food and drinks get served to you after you order. We just had dinner there on 7/21/19 and it was at full capacity when we were there. Even though they were packed, we got a table for 6 in about 15 minutes. We ordered frog legs and calamari for appetizers. Both were excellent. My wife and I had different Ahi tuna wraps. Both were excellent. I had a few “ Big Fish” mixed drinks. Went down smooth and helped cool me off in the 100° heat. I would def go back again!

One of the best places we ate in OC. The atmosphere was super laid back. We went during the day but I got the feeling that at night I might not want to bring my kids. Highlights: alfresco dining with a bay view, adult swing chairs, arcade, pirate themed children's play area, beyond sausage meat substitute, camouflage hot sauce. (Really good mild, vinegar based hot sauce)

Awesome spot for food and drinks, right on the dock bayside. Good atmosphere for families and couples alike. My wife calls it "Seacrets for families" and that's spot on! The bars don't have a ton of seating, but they do have some 21+ only sections where you can hang in some hammock chairs or bar tables. I highly recommend the seafood burrito and the crab cake sandwich!

It's got a great vacation atmosphere and the service was commendable. The location is nice, right on the bay with some mini golf right next door. The food we had in my opinion was meh. It is kind of pricey, I'd say on average plan to spend $75 to $100 for 4 before gratuities. It was a good experience overall.

What is with the unprofessional thugs at the door taking the IDs? I have never seen such a thing. Literally fighting with customers and acting like rude, unprofessional thugs! One was eating while putting the bracelets on people and talking with his mouth full. The other one was talking to people like he was an uneducated idiot. We turned around and left! Didn’t even have to walk in the place to see how it was! The thugs at the door made that decision for us. Hiring rude employees says enough about what kind of place this is. No thanks!

So just a few points off of of 5 star. Great atmosphere and people. Neat features like the lights in the bay water which attract small fish. Swinging chairs. Wonderful open air dining. Head boat launch, skiff and pontoon rentals. Poor mark on consistency. Orange crushes tasted drastically different from bar to bar. Bar staff did not know when the kitchen was closed. Door man was smoking (unprofessional). Like I said, just off the 5 star mark. All and all worth the trip. I may even rent a skiff tomorrow.

Environment, experience, location, friendly staff....food was meh. The indoor playground was awesome. The setting was ideal for seeing the sun set. Our server was amazing. Wait was hour and a half on Friday night. Appetizer buffalo scallops were best thing we adults tried. Cheese wiz fries for kids were not fully cooked and soggy even on parts not smothered in cheese. Youngest child got grilled cheese that was dried out. The apple slices and graham cracker were good. Oldest child got a pizza and he said it was perfect. Fish Tales is my favorite place in ocean City. The dining area/bar are on an outside deck that faces the water where boats dock. They have adult swings and a kid playground. The atmosphere is so much fun! The food is amazing and the kids get their meal on a take home frisbee. The wait staff is always pleasant and prompt. I can't say enough things about this place. Haven't had a bad experience yet.

If you go during peak season expect a wait, but it's worth it. Great playground for the kids, coupled with good service everytime. Food is a little pricey for what you get in my opinion, but if your ok with paying a little more for the experience it is worth every penny.

Awesome restaurant and bar. Great location, fun space with lots of color, music, and sand. It was busy, which was expected. Although busy, our food still came out in a decent amount of time. The drinks were good and the service was great. And lastly, the food was really delicious. I would definitely come here again.

The view is phenomenal and the atmosphere is really trendy. We also got indoor (covered) seating right away. This is where the good part ends though. The service sucked. It took about 30 minutes to get food from when we ordered. This was at 2PM on a Saturday in the first week of June (during the off season). The food wasn't that great either. The shrimp was really meaty, but not too flavorful. We got about 3oz of fish total for the Mahi Tacos and it was refrigerator cold. Overall, this place has a lot of potential and they're obviously doing well, but I'd go here for the atmosphere only, I wouldn't order anything.

Very cool atmosphere and set up. Really liked the layout and having my feet in the sand while eating dinner. Very popular place so expect to wait for a table if eating dinner. Great place to go for just drinks. The food was OK it wasn’t bad or great but again the atmosphere, setting and drinks were great. They rent tiki boats and other type boats here which was very intriguing until we seen the price which was ridiculous. Tiki boats 75$ per person per hour doesn’t make sense per person should be flat rate per hour or something. Place is cool worth checking out especially for drinks but there is definitely better food to be had at other places.

I just went for a girls' night out with my mom and grandmother and we started our night off at Fish Tales, having dinner there. We had an enjoyable experience! Decent food, friendly staff, and fair prices... my only complaint is that some food should come in meals, not separate. I ordered chicken tenders and got my fries separately, but usually it comes together as a meal most restaurants - at least the ones I go to. They have enough patrons eat and drink there, so I don't see why they need to take extra money from people. Other than that they seem very family-oriented and it is a great place to dine, I would definitely go again.

Their employees seem to work together so well and you can definitely sense that they all consider each other family. Megan C was our most recent server and she absolutely rocked it, her personality was so fun and her service was second to none. There is a playground for your kids to play in while waiting to get seated. You can consume alcoholic beverages while they are playing on the ground. The food is good enough considering tour kids will be too tired from playing to be heathens at the table.

Really a great outdoor bar and table seating area. Tables in the sand , open air bars,drive up and dock your boat. We went for dinner, mostly sandwiches,not too much as far as dinner dishes. I ordered rhe flounder dinner,and after 10 min the waitresses informed me they ran out of flounder....Pretty disappointing for a place called "Fish Tales"....i ordered 2 appetizers that were ok. I'd go back for drinks ,and maybe an app., but not for dinner. I'd recommend it for drinks,or if your looking for sandwiches. If your looking for a nice seafood dinner ,o.c. has better places for that. I do like it though.

Has a great playground for kids as you wait to be seated. Right on the bay. They put in more umbrellas at all tables so you can go early and still eat without the sun in your face. They also added umbrellas to waiting areas by the bay. We went at 5 yesterday and only had a 10 minute wait.

I went to Fish Tales. It was very average. And when I rate average, I am usually being kind. Don’t get me wrong, the location is great. And it is very welcoming. I just have a problem with the flies, particularly at the bar. They are feasting on the completely exposed fruits for people’s drinks. I even mentioned it to 2 different bartenders, and both of them basically shrugged it off. Did nothing. All it takes is simply caring to cover the “fresh” fruit, that by the way, was also brown in color. I ordered only canned Corona. I also watched 2 separate couples leave just because of the flies. Simple fix, yet ignored by staff and management. Enough to make me choose another place.

We really like the new upgrades! My family comes here everytime we visit OC. Whether its a week or a day trip they always come here for lunch or dinner. You guys/gals did a great job upgrading the place and menu as well. The food taste and quality has definitely improved. Service has always been spectacular.....nice work.

This place was simply the definition of alive. The layout, people and music painted such a great story I think I only captures a third of the amazing experience. Just know if you go at night it gets windy and the kids may get cold quickly. Food was superb.

Great atmosphere -lots of rock music (old hits) and food presentation! The mango and avocado salad was so good!!! 2 of us split the seafood entree, everything was delicious (a large crab cake, grilled shrimp, fish, scallop). All mouthwatering! The menu was certainly interesting (we did not try the fried frog legs!) My margarita was served in a plastic cup I think bc we were on bar side. The salt didn't hold on to the brim much. There's an area of this place that's got a sandy floor- perfect for keeping the beach day vibe going!

Fish Tales is a must while in Ocean City! If you're looking for a dining experience on the water this is the place for you. I highly recommend dining during Happy Hour. Grab a Orange Crush and order Clam Strips off the Teasers menu. They are flash fried and amazing! The kids have an awesome playground to play on while you eat. Have a great time! Don't forget to try the Adult Hammocks!
