The food is very good here, it is superb. However the decor could use a little touch up. It just needs a little uplift little work in different places I noticed. The servers and the greeters are very professional and very attentive. There is a man however that's a front door that was not very pleasant. Because of that man I don't think I would go there to eat again.

Real rating: 4.5 stars... There is lots to love about this place. This was my first visit. The atmosphere was great. The band (Thursday-Saturday) was entertaining. Hostess & wait staff were friendly. Drinks were well made. Bartenders were a little slow at the bar (20 minutes to get a drink), but the place was packed. The food came out relatively fast and was good quality (3.5 out of 5) with the best part being the roasted red potatoes and spinach medley. The women's restroom was clean. The huge parking lot was filled. Overall: I know I'm going to enjoy this place a lot in the future.

We arrived about 8:30 PM on a Friday night, and the place was standing room only. We were told by the host that there was a 2 hour wait. Luckily, we got seats at the bar after about 30 minutes. The DJ was good and the band was good as well until they got stuck on Debarge songs. We stayed about two & a half hours, and was never contacted from the waiting list. The food was so so. My advice is "Get there early - if you decide to go".

Not the worst place I've been too, but not the best either. One of our servers was training, but could have had a much better attitude. Really could have done without the eye rolling, especially since it was our first time eating there. Also, instead of standing around talking, our servers could have actually served our food in a timely manner and checked our table without me having to get their attention. The food is way overpriced for what you get, including the alcoholic drinks ($11 for a small daiquiri). You get very little of the main item you order (i.e. fish, shrimp, scallops), but plenty of sides. The hush puppies were hard/tough, cold and very greasy. The onion rings were the best thing I had there, although also very greasy (it was dripping down my fingers). The person I was with asked for their veggie well done, but it was still very crunchy. Also, the soup she asked for sat so long (they forgot she asked for it), it had a skin on the surface by the time she got it. All-in-all, it was an ok place at best. Definitely won't be going back!

I admit that I only ever order the Fried Oyster Sandwich, but the price is less than everything else?! Comes with an abundance of oysters, overflowing actually, and fresh LTO(red), the fries are cooked perfectly, coleslaw is fresh and tasty, and served with all the sauces you need without having to ask. Only thing I’d recommend is some real habanero hot sauces (tabasco is so yesterday). Great service and no lines at lunch...can’t beat it!

I happened to attend on a Friday night for a friend's birthday celebration with the live band playing. I must say that although I didn't know what to expect, it turned out to be a great experience. I had gotten a platter which was good with spinach, which was amazing. Laughs, perfect drinks, and even a "Happy Birthday" was sang to the woman of the hours. If I were not with a big party, it would have been hard to find seating because of how packed it was and then again after a while you would find most people out of their seats grooving to the music. I will say based off of majority of the faces I seen, familiar and unfamiliar, were satisfied with their experience.

I went to lunch here with my husband today. Service was bad and food was worse. Normally they have the best clam chowder, but today it was watery and tasted like either vinegar or lemon juice was poured into it. We couldn't believe it, but ate it instead of waiting for someone to finally come to are table, plus my husband hates to complain. Thinking it wasn't going to get worse, they brought out hard bread with margarine, not real butter. Then she brought out my stuffed shrimp. Omg, the crab smelled rotten and tasted awful!! That went home to the outside animals. I hope they aren't dead in the morning! I could tell you more, but I've said enough. Good luck with your meal. It has to be the worse food I've tasted in my 60 years!!

I wish I could give negative stars. There is a huge difference between the service at the location in Old Towne compared to this one. One of the managers (bald, African American, salt and pepper beard, tall, slender) treated me and my guests like we were nonpaying customers or worse He was obviously drunk when he started an argument with us over a chair that one of the ladies in our group was sitting in He asked her to get with no explanation and took the chair away. When we asked why, he claimed to own the restaurant, he moved the chair and didn't need to explain himself. When the people sitting with him tried to calm him down he went over to some other guys to point us out as if he was going to start a fight. We paid our tab and left. A drunk manager is very bad for business. I hope he gets fired immediately because when I told some regulars what happened they too had a similar experience with him.

Reserved a table for one month in advance because relatives were visiting from out of town and I wanted them to have a nice dinner and music. We ordered appetizers first and then our meal. We ate our meal and then the band was getting ready to play. The waitress came over and said "I know you are your meal and been here for a minute but people are waiting to get in so if you are staying for the band it will be a 2.00 charge per head to hear the band. I couldn't believe that! That wasn't explained when I made the reservation, it wasn't explained when we was seated, it was only explained when the band was getting ready to play. Very unprofessional, that's not good business. I have waited a hour for a search and everyone else has to do the same! No one should be told that they have to leave or be charged 2.00 per head to listen to music after they spent their money to eat and waiting for the band. They will lose customers!!

I usually go here with my friends and enjoy decent food and drinks. Until recently I was greeted at the door by this older lighter skinned man in a suit supposedly counting people, with an offensive unwelcome. He told me I was not allowed to come into the bar with the shirt I had on and continued to harass me about it. I had never had any confrontations about any of my clothes when I go here until now. I reported it to security, and to my amazement, they said the owner (sherry) doesnt want women dressing a certain kind of way because of the way men act with gestures and touching. I'm not going to even touch that topic, my point is what I was wearing is something I could wear to red lobster. My friends and i travel from Woodbridge va and easily drop $200 per visit. I have never been offended by any of the other customers in the 10 years I've been going there. And the one time I am it's by an employee. Will I go again? No. We will kindly take our business elsewhere.

Quite possibly the worst place I've ever been in. They were literally five people in the restaurant and four sushi makers, yet I waited 1 hour for sushi. The waitress never came back over to see was everything okay or if we need anything, assembly explain what the long wait is for. And it wasn't just me com there were two people there before us and who waited twice as long as we did. Avoid at all cost.

Food was decent but overpriced considering all the other factors that diminish the quality of this establishment. Seating was frustrating as we had a group and one of the waitresses started fussing because our party required two tables, one of which was in another waiters "section". Apparently the girl was mad because she wouldn't get the money for our entire table. The furniture and overall look of this place is outdated. Parking was tight although abundant (we went on Friday during happy hour). The bar offerings for happy hour sucked. They have a live band that starts playing at 9. I left early but some of our group stayed behind and said they were good.

I love this place. Even though I haven't been there in quite some time, every time I go back there is a different experience to be had. The first time that I went it was for my 21st birthday and my father surprise me cuz all my friends and loved ones were there. And I had no idea how great the food was how strong the liquor was and how friendly the people were. But when it turn to 9 the house lights went dim, and the Band came on to play. The owner was on the drums. And because my birthday was in November we saying a couple Christmas songs to get us in the mood for Christmas. I loved it so much so I had to go back again and this time take my friends. So when my 26th birthday came around. I went back and this time I brought my friends and this time it was later in that night. So I could not get a table by the band oh, and we had to park across the street because even though parking and table reservations are free by the band. You still needed to get there early because it would be packed because it's just that awesome. I recommend the crab dip. And if you are a Beer Drinker they literally have a goblet of beer. I want to say around 6 you will be too late and it will be starting to get packed. So come early like for happy hour and stay throughout the entire night. I would recommend this place on a Friday so if you happened to either get lucky, or drink too much you don't have to worry about getting up and going to work in the morning. I absolutely love this place and I need to go back soon.

Me and my party got there as soon as the doors open 11 am Sunday morning. The waitress Tina was fabulous she didn't skip not one beat being as though we were the first customers seated in her section. She was very nice and attentive. I ordered the catfish nuggets, fries, Chardonnay and a bloody Mary. OMG!!! Everything what's hot full of flavor and tasty. This was including the drink(bloody Mary) was spicy ad perfect. We are from out of town and stopped in for dinner. It was okay. My family of 5 ate a variety of foods. Husband ate shock and awe shrimp and they were good but it was only six shrimp, so not a good value. My oldest ordered the chicken sandwich with hush puppies. He said it was very dry. But the 8 year old enjoyed it. There is no children's menu. I had a steak quesadilla. The flavor was fine but the steak was meant for a philly cheesesteak, it was weird. The 8 yr old didn't like it either. My middle son got the boatload (burger), it was a little over cooked but he's not picky so he enjoyed it. The boatload was a good value with a burger, fries and onion rings. The service was so so as well. We had to ask for refills after being out for 25 mins. Servicer was polite.

The food was a very good quality when I last visited about 1 yr ago but today I went to get 2 captains platters and the food was very poor quality. Mostly overcooked and dried out. It was more like a bread platter. Meaning that the seafood was almost more bread than meat and small amounrs of seafood but tons of hushpuppies and fries. Idk who their vender or their chef/cook is or what's going on with management and budget issues but poor quality will NOT get many returned visits. Maybe they're relying on liquor sells to carry them through and cover overhead but overall I was VERY DISAPPOINTED. The cashier and host was nice though.

Ups and downs. This place tried to be something its not. An upper class 4 star when its a middle class 3 star family restaurant where the old folks can break loose. Good music. Great foods and fun but trying to shut out the community they built themselves in. Which is disappointing with its potential. It is a fun place with great atmosphere and false grandeur. I mean, it's like the Cheers of Clinton. It's old, the fixtures and decorations show that easily. The food is ok......nothing to write home about, but not horrible either. The fried oysters are usually pretty good. The drinks are good and strong and don't cost an arm and a leg and the service is friendly. There are mostly regulars in the bar area for happy hour, so get there early if you want to sit there. All in all, it's a good, familiar friendly place to meet a friend for a drink and an appetizer.

Friendly service and good food but in the atmosphere is rather loud due to music and a talkative bar crowd. I recommend asking for seeding far from the bar or ordering takeout. There is a separate room in which the noise is greatly reduced however it is almost never open during dinner.

Overall ok food. Service a little below par however the beers are nice and large in size. Price for the food was fair however nothing to Rave about. Was hoping for more exciting menu but it's a pretty standard. The setting is more like a nightclub. Could be exciting if you were out on a date? Decor was a little dated. I had seafood soup and it tasted good It had the same consistency as chicken soup which was exactly what I was looking for. The waitresses were courteous and pleasant. I went there lunch time and I enjoyed the ambience of the restaurant.

Its Just Me

Fun selections and live music. Surf and turf was okay- (NY strip was thin but tender). Prices for dinner were high. Potato side tasted smoked and very buttery. Stuffed shrimp was less shrimp then crab stuffing. Margarita was strong and sassy. This meal was not worth $120. We had higher expectations at a place in such close vicinity to the coast. I've had better seafood at Red Lobster in the Midwest of the country and it cost us half the price. Also need to note the bathroom looked like there had been a crime scene in there. Dirty dirty dirty.

Omg! Salty is all I can express! The food was waaayyy to salty! Not enough shrimp for what I paid for and the salmon and the Little shrimp that I had was sooo salty. I’m not used to that.

Fish was not fried hard enough but they replaced it. The atmosphere is good but the lightning is bad could barely see food on plate. I would give it another chance because my husband likes catfish but that's why I give 1 star
