Huge Crab Cakes. I had not been in awhile and must say I love the updates they did to the decor. Much better than the old carolina blue they used to have. No offense to carolina blue...but this is MD. Pretty good spot for those north of the city and bay

Thom Grisso

A bit crowded, food selection is great but prices dictate a bit more decoram and polish to the service. Atmosphere is a bit too much like a mess hall.

Robert Royster

The crabcakes are some of the best I've ever had. Absolutely huge. Paired it with a half rack of ribs, which fall off the bone. Service was excellent as well!

Diana Serafino

Had a birthday brunch there for a family member on Sunday. They were very very busy. The staff was very attentive and our waitress was quick and friendly. The bread pudding was my favorite--would go back just for that. I only wish it wasn't so loud.

MizzieGreat Goop

Recommended by a local. We were sat immediately and the food was great. The half and half soup and the crab cakes were to die for. The service was great as well. Will definately go back. Seating was VERY quaint (only drawback). I felt like I was at someone else's table.

Corina McNeil

There was a bit of a wait. However it was well worth it!! Environment: clean, well spaced tables. The utensils were without residue or spots. There weren't any issues that would cause you to lose your appetite. Service: Their staff was respectful, courteous and helpful. Food: The portion size was enough to share. *side note* my husband and i ended up taking some of our meal home. The meals came out quickly. They were prepared to perfection. I forgot to mention that Their crab cakes were HUGE!!! This isn't an over exaggeration. Its literally enough of 2 people!! I highly recommend this establishment!

Kimberly Scott-brown

The food was delicious I had carry out next time I will eat in the atmosphere was inviting and they have a front porch waiting area it was relaxing.

Christine Kulikowski

Crab cakes are consistent. We do enjoy them.

Dennis Bahurinsky

Terry Bialecki

Love their crab cakes...the best in my opinion!! We love it here!!

Skiro Jordan

The best crab cake I have ever had. Our waitress Sabrina was very nice.

Raquel Quashie

Loved the weekend brunch buffet on Saturday and Sunday at the "By the Docks" in Bowley's Quarters, Md. It has a wide variety of options that can satisfy many palates for the low price of$20.99. Omelet stations, french toast, pancakes, raw bar, fresh fruit, and many other offerings. This is the place diet resolutions go to die people. Service is always on point the food is fresh and for those of you who do imbibe you can add an additional $10 to partake in thier bottomless mimosa offering. This is the best brunch offered in the White Marsh/Rosedale/Bowleys Quarters/Essex area. How do I know this? Because I've been everywhere until I found this place! So call your girls together ladies or your significant other and get your brunch on!!

Stacey Chojnacki

What a wonderful Mother's day bruch. I highly recommend this place. I am a happy mother today. Thank you.

Beatrice Christian

Went to Saturday brunch. Ample and very tasty food selections for a full breakfast. Seafood selections were plentiful. The $1 mimosas were the bomb. Would definitely be back. Get a reservation just in case. Other items on the menu are delicious, generous and priced right!!

Justin McPherson

If you want to get some really good seafood, try By The Docks in Middle River. Their crab cakes and other selections are amazing. They have a Saturday and Sunday brunch as well as good happy hour deals M-F from 3-6. Note: don’t get confused with “dock on the bay” in sparrows point. This restaurant is in middle river. Apparently a lot of people mix the two up because if you google this place, both locations appear.

Amber Palewicz

Best half and half soup in town. Great crab cakes and daily specials!

Winky Blanchard

The crab cakes were awesome ! So big, we will have them at home for dinner tomorrow night too! We really would have enjoyed our meals much more but, a table of 7 people were right next to us and they were extremely loud and not concerned about anyone else in the room enjoying their meals. It's a shame! We should have asked to be moved but kept thinking they would quiet down. ...but they didn't. I had to walk outside while my husband paid the bill. Lesson learned...next time. ..asked to be moved!

Sydney Dixon

Excellent loved every mouthful. Would recommend this place to everyone

Health Coach

We love it here! Close and the food is delicious! Frequent it very often and are never disappointed. Love their homemade house italian dressing, always take home what's left to use because we love it.

Michael DeLuca

I wasn't impressed, food was ok, nothing special. Presentation was horrible. Staff was very nice

Velma Dyson

Food was Delicious, Waittress &Atmosphere was Eloquent. Jumbo Crab Cake, Crab Soup and Chocolate Cake. Delicious

Jackie Pearsall

The food was really good. Better than I expected actually. The waitress Leah though; she just tolerated us no doubt. It clearly showed in her face. No professional at all...

Chelsey Keys

In my picture, for my main course you will see salmon and a crab cake. The salmon was bland, overall tasteless! The broccoli was the same, tasteless. The crab cake was just okay with lots of filler, barely any crab. The atmosphere was casual, feeling a little upity. The staff seemed to not care, just there to receive their paycheck. The staff took forever to come to my table so I was forced to get up and walk over to the bar to order my drink. Needless to say, I will never return to this location!! The good thing about (Maryland is that there are plenty other great seafood spots around. Ones that are much better priced, have a wonderful atmosphere and excellent food. Just look at some of my other posts! This place was such a disappointment.

Meech Elmore

Food is terrific and the service is great and the best crab cakes I ever had

Andrea Amato

What can I say, I love this place. It has an awesome atmosphere and the dining options are magnificent !

Patrick Stowars

PLACE IS FANTASTIC SERVICE AN FOOD IF THERE WAS A 10 THIS PLACE IS A 20

Sharvon Spence

The brunch was awesome. I will definitely visit again

Haroldine Robinson

Brunch Buffet mediocre and Host Staff make no consideration for age or ability when seating elderly upstairs though the Brunch Buffet is downstairs

Ronald Matthews

I ordered take out. And when I get back to my room and open my salad and there was a live slug on the top of the container the salad was in. Ruined my dinner.

John Gregorowich

Really good weekend breakfast / brunch buffet! Go Sunday morning before the Raven game. Go home and watch football all day. Now that's how to spend a Sunday!

Tom Bauer

My favorite local restaurant... Perfect for a special night, birthday or if you want a solid meal. In my opinion the best crab cakes in the area!!! Prices are a bit higher but this is a case where you get what you pay for.. if you want something other than seafood there are plenty of options.

Tiffany Smith

Outside of the flies flying around our table, the food was good.

Marqia Holland

My first time going and it was amazing! The food and service was great! It’s easy to spot off the road and parking is free! For brunch I would say make a reservation just because it was pack but other than that it’s a great place for brunch.

Victor Unson

Superv cant say more than that especially the lamb chops & pork ribs. Very cozy restaurant ambient lights & nice music. Good parking too.

September 30th, 2019 @7:34pm My husband and I came here to celebrate our anniversary. We were greeted with smiling faces, except for a young lady who was eager to be sent home and did not mind letting everyone including the guest know. We were then seated by a different gentleman, who's smile and demeanor was amazing. He was very inviting. We sat down and were immediately greeted by our waiter named ABINER? He was very polite and extremely informative about the menu. We proceeded to order FIRECRACKER SHIMP, CALAMARI, CLAIMS CASINO, and a SIDE CEASER SALAD. Overall our appetizers were very tasty, though the clams casinos we're extremely salty. We followed by ordering our main courses. ABINER’s service continued to be pristine throughout the night. He was extremely social and was willing to answer any questions we had and we never had to ask or remind him in regards to replenishing our beverages. Since it was a Monday, we thought we would take part in the lobster night that they featured. We were soon informed by our waiter that ”unfortunematly they have run out of Lobster”. Abiner followed with an abrupt apology. My husband and I were somewhat taken back that they ran out of lobsters for the featured lobster night with still having 3 more hours of service. Since this WAS my husband's fav place and we come OFTEN, we decided to stay. For our main courses, we ordered TWO DOUBLE orders of COLOSSAL CRAB CAKES, TWO STUFFED LOBSTER TAIL, and an additional LOBSTER TAIL. The wait for our main courses seems to be much longer than the wait for our appetizers. We just attributed it to maybe our mains courses would be extremely fresh. Since my husband and I are regular and this is indeed his favorite place above ALL PLACES, we were appalled at the disappointing outcome of our main courses. When our dinner hit the table we dove right being very hungry due to the wait. My husband cut into both of his LOBSTER TAILS and immediately got a whiff of AMMONIA. Anyone that knows seafood knows the ammonia smell means the seafood is decomposing and is not safe to eat. We cut into my LOBSTER TAIL and mine seems to smell okay but by NO MEANS was it fresh. Due to us being regulars we QUIETLY told our ABINER and he had the manager come over. The manager came over, scanned the table and said:” why did you guys order so much food?” I immediately was appalled that this was his responded. I responded very diplomatically, ”Im sorry what does us ordering what we preferred to have for dinner have anything to do with my husband receiving not ONE but TWO lobsters that are going bad?” Kilo (manager) responded with ”oh well I don't know they are bad”, ”just came over to make sure my waiter was doing his job correctly.” I was so annoyed and turned off by the MANAGERS behavior that I had to walk away from the table. Kilo (manager) and my husband had a conversation and Kilo apologized and said he would be removing my Husband's main courses off of our check. I explained to Kilo that we have no intention of not paying we just wanted you to be aware to tell your chefs. Kilo continued to ask why we ordered so much food as if we could not pay. Moments later my husband's eyes became bloodshot red and we retired to the restroom where he had thrown up multiple times. He then came back to the table and had to return to the restroom to throw up again. During this time I spoke to our waiter ABINER and he apologized many times. I explained it is not you that should be apologizing but your manager was extremely rude. I ordered our desserts to go. I will say the STRAWBERRY CHEESECAKE is amazing but the CHOCOLATE CAKE I ordered for my husband was a bit dry. I requested the bill and did not take the time to fully look to see if everything the manager KILO promised was properly taken off. I paid $188.61. My husband looked at the receipt and immediately called over KILO and said ”you said you would be taken my meal off the bill and yet you only removed one lobster tail.” awe we're so appalled I tipped our waiter generously and we left. I will be calling to speak to the owner.

Tami Ray

The bestest crab cakes in town but only order them cause it's a meal in its self... If two are ordering then I suggest order the one that comes with two and add an extra salad...

Alan Jones

Nice place. Dropped in for Sunday Brunch. Very good variety of food, plenty of seafood and dessert items. Casual atmosphere and reasonably priced. I saw their weekly specials looked nice as well. I'll be back.

Karen Howard

The best, biggest, lump crab cakes ever.

Karen Marcellino

We haven't been here for a year or a little bit more. The interior has been completely redecorated - BEAUTIFUL!!! The crab cake was ABSOLUTELY AWESOME - DELICIOUS!!! Very good service!

Al Stoffa

Excellent crab cakes as advertised. Sides were good as well. Prompt, courteous service.

shapreice shears

The food qas ok the service from ther server was on point but overall the restaurant displayed discrimination toward my family. Wont be returning.

The Analog Circle Podcast.

I love going to this place for brunch. The food is excellent and the service is always great. If you are into seafood they have won multiple awards for their seafood dishes. I highly recommend this place. Also the brunch is a buffet and you can order bottomless mimosas for a very very great price.

Josephine Gupton

Food was good, they could use a remodel fresh carpet tidy up the kitchen a little more but the service was good crab cake were put of this world

Yolanda Jones

This was my first time there but the

Barbara Treas

Took our friends there from florida there and they were delighted with everything.

Jennifer Dougherty

Wow! I can't say enough about my meal today. The sweet potatoe fries were delicious, but the maple bacon cream dip is addictive!! The Seafood Cobb Salad was huge. Everything was so fresh and the shrimp and crab done to perfection.

Albert Smith

Crabcakes, crabcakes, crabcakes! Don't know what else is on the dinner menu - don't care - just give me the best crabcakes in the world. Did I mention desserts - OMG out of this world

Mary Crivello

Tuesday, March 4th, my friends and I (7 in total) had dinner at your wonderful restaurant. One person in our party has a allergy to peppers. He was looking forward to having the crab cake special but learned the crab cakes are made with peppers. On his behalf, and unbeknownst to him I am appealing to your restaurant to request if you have the ability to make a crab cake without peppers? We made this request but we were told that you cannot make them that way. The gentleman with the food allergy is a first responder, police Sergeant for 35+ years in Baltimore. He is much too humble to as why you cannot eliminate the peppers in your crab cakes this the reason for my email. We LOVE your restaurant. The food and service is wonderful. Is there anything you can do to accommodate the next time he visits for lunch or dinner. Thank you so much for your consideration.

Stacey Gorham

I made reservations for my sons’ birthday and when I arrived they were unable to find my name. The manager was able to accommodate us with no problem and I was able to celebrate with the family. The food is always wonderful when I go and this is my third visit. Many more visits in the future.

WildWorks by Scott G. Dietz

The service was good, the restaurant pleasant, but the clams casino, the clam meat was like rubber balls (from over cooking), my rockfish was bland, and I had mashed potatoes with beef gravy that tasted like they put old bay into the gravy (not good). They removed the clams casino from the bill without asking, which is much in their favor. Final note, the ladies room looked like a bomb went off in it. Perhaps we just hit the place at the wrong time, Thursday for lunch, but not somewhere we will be going to again soon

James Mason Altair

I rarely give 5 stars, but this restaurant is near perfect. The crab cakes, crab soup, crab imperial, and other seafood is among the best in the Baltimore metro area. Even their steak and ribs were perfect. The staff is fast, efficient, and very friendly. I highly recommend By the Docks for families and couples.

David Jalali

Some of the best seafood I’ve had in Maryland, hands down. The Oysters Rockefeller will uplift your taste buds to a new dimension.

Hector Carreras

I'm always pleased visiting and bringing friends and family here. The food is great as is the service. They have renovated and looks fantastic. Worthy of another rating for best restaurant in MD.

S C

Food was better and expected but could have been more taste full..however for the first ti.e going there really okkk.

Karen Jones

The server was very nice & attentive. The food was ok buffet style for brunch everything I had was lukewarm it was not hot. We had a party of 12 at the end of our meal when the check came we were informed we could only use 3 credit cards who has cash these days so the bill was split for half the table so we could each pay as we wanted to. When we were trying to leave the table the manager came and asked us to leave because he had another party to seat who does that so as a manager his customer service sucks!!!!

Kitty Travagline

Quality food in a casual atmosphere, with exceptional customer service.

Colleen Humphries

I came here with family for Thanksgiving. By the Docks was/is the happening place to be. I got the crab cake dinner, a sister-in-law got the prime rib dinner and the rest of the family got the traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Everyone was pleased with and enjoyed their meal. My crab cake was huge and very delicious! It was so big I brought some of it home to enjoy the next day. My sister-in-law liked her prime rib, but found half of it to be fat, and she was given 20 percent off of the cost of her meal. From what everyone who got the traditional Thanksgiving dinner constantly commented on how tasty it was. (We went elsewhere last year and the traditional Thanksgiving dinner did not compare to this one, from what everyone said.) The service was great! Everyone there was very friendly. Our reservation was at a good time, 3 pm. When we left, there was a big line of people waiting to be seated. So when I mentioned in the beginning of this post, By the Docks is the happening place to be for Thanksgiving, that is an understatement. Five stars all the way around!

Jen Mullins

Kim was super nice, professional and all around excellent service. This was our first time here. Menu is huge, tons of options and has a ton of variety. Their weekly specials are a great value. The mood setting is so inviting, tables are very nicely set, lighting, pictures, everything is pleasant to the eye. We sat at a table in the back corner of the bar area, I did not explore the rest of the restaurant but will next visit. The bar has a great selection of drinks as well. - we has the colossal crabcake, soup & salad plus one side- crab balls to start (and warm rolls w butter), didn't have room for dessert which Kim boxed up for us to take home. We couldn't finish our meals either, great serving sizes. Definitely looking forward to next time!!

James Traynham

The food was great, the staff was great. This was my first time here and I'll surely be back!

Shannon DeRemigis

Food is amazing service was great! No complaints here! Crab cakes are huge!

Marcia Snyder

I visited with three others. Two of us were pleased. I suggest the Ceasar salad with ahi tuna, and crab soup.

rachel nixon

LOVE this place. Seafood is on point, nice atmosphere and really good service. Always a pleasure. Definitely recommend the weekend brunch

katie

First time ordering carry out from the restaurant and everything was good with my order until I got to my chicken Chesapeake and it was still pink, it was not cooked all the way. After driving 20 minutes to go pick it up I called the restaurant explaining what was wrong and they told me that I can drive back up that night to get the meal recooked. I told them no because I shouldn’t have to drive back up to get a meal recooked that should have been cooked in the first place and the manager didn’t offer anything else in replace for the meal. I am disappointed because I love coming to this restaurant they have good food but, after tonight I won’t be coming back for carry out or for dining.

cheryl green

Love the food, wait staff needs work..

Lisa Dunn

Food is amazing. Best crab cakes I’ve ever had and they are full of crab. Money well spent!!! Wait staff was kind and pleasant, as well.

Akiya Green

Me and my husband are heading to o.c and wanted to grab something quick in the area because we were leaving from this area so we decided on a double crabcakes to split, it was EVERYTHING!!!!! We had coleslaw and asparagus as our sides definitely a thumbs up from THE GREENS we will be back

C Wallace

Great service by Kimberly and great tasting food and selection

Alice B

Best place to come in Baltimore for seafood, crab cakes are so delicious... I will suggest the salmon and crab cakes

John Bevilacqua

As always, excellent food and service. Great place to go.

Dave Hebler

Specials pricing was good. Every day menu pricing a little high? Everything I ordered I enjoyed. Be careful of the towel holder in the mens room. I smacked my elbow trying to get out the door.

Cheryl Murdock

the food was good , The server was missing most of the evening .The manager did understand customer service. it is no longer the same.

Darnell Anderson

The food was very good my only problem was that I called in and food was not ready or available to me

Kristopher Henderson

Always has been the best crab cakes in town and all around great sea food

Victoria DiTommasso

Exceptional service. Delicious food. Will definitely be going back. The sangria and cruzin punch were both amazing drinks.

Philip Sessa

Food was OK, table service was good. Couple things worth mentioning. 1. For the buffet the food was a little cold, and 2. I do not like the gratuity automatically added to the bill. We should be able to choose what the tip should be. We basically served our selves, buss boy takes away the plates, so tell me how a waiter that only refills our drinks deserves a 26 dollar tip? As far as I am concerned the food consumed was not even worth the $21.00 paid. So add it up. Party of 5 with drinks totaled 141.00 with 26 tip added on top of that when the service did not deserve that. This is my only complaint about this restaurant, other then that this brunch buffet was OK.

Sandra Gulley

We had a very exceptional lunch. Crab Cakes were excellent.

zenkaiaudio

Good food, good service. decent wine list. Giant crab cakes. This place is always near the top of my list when I'm in that area.

Bo Condon

There may be a wait Everytime we go...but the staff is EXCELLENT at getting us to our table well before the estimated time. There's plenty of space and the smells are great foreplay before the feast. Everything is always done exactly how you'd want it at a seafood spot. Their restaurant week specials are unbeatable. Beer selection is super respectable. And the staff always are on top of things

Ollie Baxley

We were seated upstairs. Excellent food and service. It was the best crab cake ever, Totally all crab, no filling. I believe the filling was crab meat.

Lynnard Deans

The food, atmosphere and service was very good. Nobody in my party had any complaints. I am glad I finally made it here.

Deborrah Jones

I loved the Saturday buffet brunch especially the seafood Mac and cheese. The best omelette I've ever had. Good variety of food. Have been telling everyone about it. Can't wait to go again.

Nicole McCann

Good food, needs better management. Very noisy

Darlene Florence

Food - great. Portions - huge. Service - spectacular. Our whole family agrees this is a wonderful restaurant. Not one of us was disappointed about anything.

Anthony Serafino

Went here for Sunday Brunch. The waitress was terrific. She was attentive and speedy, which can be challenging with a group as large as ours. The buffet was large and had a lot of variety. The french toast was delicious, as was the bread pudding. The only real downside was how loud the dining room was.

M Watson

This wasn't even worth 1 star. Called made reservations. It took our server quiet a while to come over to our table. Strike 1. Kitchen closes at 9 on Sundays not a problem, we order. One dish came out wrong, sent back. Order of Brussel Sprouts were brunt, 2 orders had broccoli which was way over cooked. We were told it was the last of the broccoli because it was the end of the night strike 2. They should have just said we are sold out. The cream of crab soup tasted like cream of chicken with some claw meat added. The final straw that told me never to return.... We had a party of 10. Our bill came up to $426. 18% gratuity was included (which was not deserved). One person put in $300 cash, another paid $110 and the last $70. That's more than enough. The chick came back with the receipts and asked if we needed change. Yes was the answer. She brought back $28. I'm like yeah that's not right. Asked for the original receipt and we got a whole different amount of $380. When we looked she only put $200 on the bill along with 2 cards. She tried it. Strike 3. I'm done with that place.

LJ SAX

Wow, I have to say I am very impressed. While it is a little pricier than I usually spend. It is totally worth it. The brunch buffet is outstanding and the wait staff is really good.

Nathan Young

Excellent food and service. I was here right before dinner rush so my experience was in a mostly empty resturant, but the service was wonderfull and the waitress went well out of her way to make sure I had a great experience. The lobster was very well prepared and fresh. Highly recommend the Blackened rare Tuna Sushimi appetizer. I am a traveler and have eaten at many seafood places, I put this one in my top 10.

Christopher Johnson

We always enjoy this casual dining restaurant. Whether it be a comfortable dinner or a weekend buffet breakfast this is one of our go to places for Sunday breakfasts when guests are in town. You should make reservations a few days in advanced if you want to get a good table with no wait. We have had a number of guests come stay with us and brought them here. It’s very affordable and has something for everyone.

Diane Robertson

A favorite for many years. Crabcakes are lump and no filler!! Very Very tasty.

Michael Mobley

Great service...ask for Abner.

Pamela Williams

2nd visit. 1st was excellent. This time food wasn't even real warm!

Tracy Pindell

Food here is amazing. I like the weekday specials . its good priced and good amount of food. No problems from the staff .

Quiana Payton

They dont specify that when its close to 2pm the brunch wiill be taken away once you're in there but other than that it was cool

Brittney Reynolds

Absolutely love this place! Friendly service is their #1, fast service, excellent HOT food. Our first visit was Christmas Eve and even though they were swamped they were tentive and provided exceptional service. Went again tonight and received the same service. Will definitely be our go to spot now. Also! They are known for seafood and can cook a steak better than any steakhouse I’ve ever been too (they are up there with Ruth Chris’ steaks)

Ashlee Guy

The BEST CRAB CAKES EVER. Fullfilling, large full of meat. no competition, not up for debate.

Diane Snuffer

Haven't been here in a while. But we always seem to get a table in a small corner away from everyone. WAS NOT BUSY . Get the impression we're seated in the ugly people's table. Service was just ok. The large table (read better tips) got better service. Food was just ok. They don't make frozen drinks anymore and ran out of iced tea. REALLY?!? The crab imperial tasted like pretzel mustard. No one knows how to make fries. WAS ok. Not good enough to return anytime soon. Try Brewer's Landing instead.

Monica Queen

Was there for a brunch on Sunday. My cousin had her cellphone out on the dining table (which I thought was usual). The waiter refilling our drinks and spilled juice all over her iPhone. Usually not a big deal however the waiter proceeded to say in Spanish to another guy helping to clean “leave it alone, she shouldn’t of had her phone out on the table to begin with”. I guess the guy didn’t not realize I was biracial and bilingual. I would suggest you tell your staff to be a little more conscious and just apologize and move on. There are many people who don’t look bi racial but speak different languages. Safe to say I won’t be back.

Robbin Jackson

We had a wonderful waitress, Kim, who served many tables but never let our glasses empty. Good food, good genuine service.... Awesome time with my gals.

Steve Hinton

Good food to eat at it the Best I love to eat at 1one

Derrick Colter

I went here tonight for dinner for my birthday and enjoyed all my meals. I started off with PEI mussels sauteed in garlic white wine sauce and enjoyed this meal. Next I ordered rockfish New Orleans style with mashed potatoes and a house salad. This was my first time ever eating rockfish and they cooked it to perfection. I will definitely be returning again to eat here in the future.

Gabriel Gualteros

A secret place for a very nice meal. This restaurant has what you want- great food lots of staff to take care of your needs, bar, two floors, plenty of great meal options, and wonderful desserts. Come hungry, leave full! Doggie bag is always an option! Visit them restaurant week in August 2019.

Chantele F

Crab cake was good but their sides need help. Brocolli over cooked...corn is every bit canned and it tastes like it went straight from the can to the bowl.

Steven Wright

I visited this restaurant during Brunch on August 24th. My Fiancé and I arrived at about 11:30am for our reservation. Upon arriving, we were ushered upstairs even though the first floor had open tables. We were the only customers seated up there until we left. This was the first thing that I felt was wrong with their service. After ordering our drinks we went down to get our food. I had high expectations, because this restaurant has a pretty good reputation. I filled my plate up with seafood pasta, scrapple, bacon, sausage, ham and deviled eggs. All of the food was luke warm. I enjoyed the bacon, ham and deviled eggs. The scrapple didn’t really have any flavor and the sausage that I got was raw. I pointed out to our waiter that it was bright pink in the center, but he didn’t seem to care. When another waitress passed by our table, I also pointed it out to her. I saw her approach our waiter and mention it to him, but nothing further was done. I went back down to get another plate. I noticed some shrimp hidden on the second table. I asked an employee standing behind the table if the shrimp were cleaned. He told me that they were. Upon looking closer, I was able to see that they were not deveined. What restaurant, specifically a seafood restaurant doesn’t clean their shrimp? During service our waiter rarely made an appearance. Neither my Fiancé or I received a refill on our drinks. Towards the end of service he came by and asked if I wanted a refill on our coffee, I told him yes. Ten minutes later we were done eating and I had to go downstairs and ask the manager for our check. He had us go back upstairs to wait around for another five minutes for our waiter to come to our table to give us our check. I had high expectations for this place. It has really good reviews, but when we went, it just seemed like no one cared. Our waiter was barely there, the staff didn’t seem to know anything about the food and the food was just mediocre. I would not suggest this place to anyone. The sad part is, is that I was considering applying at this place for a part time job, but I would not want to be associated with this restaurant, that’s how bad it was. Maybe if you go during regular service, you may get better service, but I do not recommend the buffet.

Nikki Blanc

Very nice seafood restaurant that gives you your money's worth. Went here for my birthday and the waiter Abner was very nice and created a welcoming environment so we felt at home. The Shrimps and huge and tasty. Crab dip and everything else delicious.

Dathan Watts

Very nice atmosphere food very nice help was very nice would highly recommend

Eugenie Pierrette Tanguep

Went there for father's day bruch. Extremely crowded with a waitress who had a little nasty attitude. But the food was delicious. The rice pudding was my fave.

Mandi Scardina

Even though it was a busy Saturday night we were served all of our courses in a timely manner. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The food was excellent also. I can't find one negative about our visit. Highly recommended!!

Sal Vaccarino

Excellent service. Amazing food. Great selections. Oysters were chilled, tasted fantastic and well served. Crab dip was very well cooked and treated the taste buds. Crabcake was very large and had no fillers. Every meal at the table was very well received, excellent portions, and several boxes were carried out. Our server was attentive, but not nosy, entertaining but not overwhelming. What a great dinner experience. We will be back.....soon.

Buss Brown

Would've put 5 stars but for some reason we're had a seating problem and one if ya hostess had a bit of a stick up her culo and was very moody and un pleasant!(K.KARDASHIAN) LOOK ALIKE! Other than that food was great as always and our chef smoothed over things and made things more pleasant!!

Made a reservation for 7:15, even though there were multiple clean, empty tables, had to wait 10 minutes for them to 'clear a table'. Host only gave us two menus for a party of four. Had to ask the server twice for more menus. Repeatedly asking the server for things was a theme throughout the night. Took almost an hour to get our dinner. Monday lobster night... Good thing I added on the crab cake! There were *maybe* 4 bites of lobster from the entire thing! Shell was soft and meat shriveled and virtually nonexistent. That should have been noticed in the kitchen and it should have been used for soup, not served to a guest. Baked potato was horribly overcooked. Crab cake was the saving grace, it was excellent as usual. Only problem was that in the trip from the kitchen, most of the melted butter for the lobster spilled on the plate, so the crab cake was floating in a pool of butter.

Great food and waiters! The remodeling looks amazing. I've been going there since the old management was there. Highly recommend this Seafood Restuarant!!! You won't be disappointed!

Andrew Covey

Best crab cakes I've ever had in the Baltimore area, which probably puts them high in the running for best crab cakes worldwide!

Bonnie Cuocci

Ice cold inside on a cold and rainy day. .most liked there crab cake. 2 did not...sorry to say...was not a happy group

Diantha Alemayhu

Wonderful! I loved it. My daughter took me there for dinner and out waitress Kimberly was the best. Food was so good took my crab cake home for my dinner today because I was so full after eating my crab soup and salad. Awesome food Awesome Service!!!!

Mia Mia

Fresh Delicious and Clean Environment The Waiter I Had was really nice ☺

Mike Kolb

The crab cakes had the most lump meat that I have ever eaten in a crab cake.

Martin Battiti

Great food, it's perfectly cooked. Nice place and good service.

Wanda Poppas

The steak was delicious . And the crabcake was the best in Baltimore. Recommed this restaurant to both family and friends. Also the staff is very friendly. With great atmosphere.

Kay Jay

Crab cakes are massive and so good!! Will definitely be back!!

Valerie Williams

Very nice experience. Was intrigued that most AAs were seated in the back, but overall good experience. Family loved the food and ambiance.

Niece Amey

Wonderful Sunday Brunch! Great selection of breakfast and lunch items including seafood offerings. By The Docks Saturday and Sunday Buffet is only $19.95 for all you care to eat. A great place to meet family and friends for a delicious Brunch.

Linda Pollock

My favorite dish is stuffed oysters and I wasn't disappointed...delicious! The creamed spinach was extra special. Definitely will go again and again!

Jacki Osborne

Atmosphere was nice, staff was good but was average. Crab cake was warm for some in party, cool for others. Steak was good.

Thomas Paquet

The crabcakes could have been garnished with something like tartar sauce and tomatoes for such an expensive dish. Same thing with the shrimp platter. Had a hard time finding a piece of crab in the crab soup. The place was very noisy, but I understand, after all, it was father's day.

Cheryle Marshall

Food was good. Crab cake was full of flavor. Sides were warm. Martini was very good.

knuckle brawler

to be honest, I didn't enjoy my chesapeake pasta plate yesterday and my wife said their half of rack rib was one of the worst. the muscles were full of sand grits and crabcake was soggy and I could only taste mustard and not so fresh tasting crab meat. the pasta was good. for nearly $70.00 dinner, I could think of sooooo many other good spots. this place is very very over rated at best. honest opinion.

Went there for New Year's day brunch, was very good. From omelletes to oysters they had it all. Nice quirky place, it's like an old converted 2-story house. No docks in sight, it's right next to a road and in front of an old-school drive-in theatre! Nice little bar inside too, it was a fun experience and reasonably priced. I haven't tried the crabcakes, but I've heard they are the best in B-more area.

Tyesha Handy

Had a great time at the buffet. Great price and selection

Shawanda Edgar

It's very nice for a date night my husband and I loved it

Sarah Leversee

The Crab Cakes were awesome and full of crab meat. Our waitress Shannon was wonderful and gave us the best service we have had in a while. The broccoli was bland but Shannon's service outshined the whole meal. To Shannon, thank you for a wonderful meal and the kindness you showed us.

Algerita Mcgeemoody

I was disappointed in the Fathers day brunch ths shrimp tasted really bad and the crablegs were very slow coming out people were complaining. I was not a pleasant experience.

Lady Jae

Food was great again! Waiteess Lydia is bomb!! We didnt hv her this time and the service ws still ok but u cn tell tht she is passionate abt customer service!

My girlfriend and I decided to take a little trip from South Jersey to check this restaurant out after coming across it on Google. It was worth the nearly 2hr drive. It was a bit busy probably due to it being restaurant week but still had great service from the bartender Nate (we sat at the bar). We loved everything we ordered and we will definitely be back. Just wish this place was a bit closer to home. (pictures are calamari, stuffed lobster tail and jewels of the sea)

Husband's Dad's and Gaming

Food was delicious! First visit and they knocked it out of the park! I'll have to come back for happy hour (3-6 pm i think). The burger I got was so flavorful i asked if they had a charcoal grill. Turns out they have an a flame grill and it just gives the food a better taste. I agree!! Cudos!

Pete Reid

Parking is good. Handicapped access fair. Food preparation very good. Crab cakes had more filler than in the past. Best calamari anywhere. Very good lamb chops. Noise level on Saturday at 6pm was terrible, with most of it caused by clattering soiled dishes and very little coming from patrons.

Tara Gardner

Went there on mother's day. Great food, great service. It was crowded but only waited about 10 minutes for a party of three. I will definitely return

M Lynn Rowe

A friend of mine were going to celebrate our birthdays together here. The staff was wonderful however the main courses were not. We shared an AMAZING plate of calamari

Alan Murdoch

Very nice seafood restaurant out of the way you're in in the Baltimore area. Pricing was extremely reasonable, especially for the region, and the food quality was solid. Unfortunately, they were out of a few things on the menu at the time I was there, but the scallops and crab cake are totally worth the visit!

Brandy Smith

Our family brings our grandfather and great aunt, who is 101, here and we all love it. Great service and great food!

jewel

The seafood taste great, the ambience is good, the service is good with a little Improvement needed for some servers. The biggest plus is that management is so accommodating and if any mistakes are made, they will quickly remedy them. The menu is awesome.

TallNubian-Shirley T.

Hose' & Celeste our waitress was awesome. Party of 5 for lunch @ Noon. Everyone loved their meals, no problems with the food. HUGE Crab cakes. We were celebrating a new job opportunity. Called Hose' the day before to make reservations. He was so friendly & welcoming! Had to take dessert home...I couldn't eat all the crabcake, salad nor the cream of crab soup!!! VERY FILLING! Food is delicilous!!!!! Would DEFINITELY come back again.

Laura D Meyers

Service was outstanding. Food came out steamy hot and to perfection. Portions huge. Took home 1/2 my meal. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Restaurant has been renovated -- looks beautiful on the inside and manager said their still working on getting the upstairs done. I'd say the manager we spoke to had everything under control, running very smoothly and very efficient. On a Scale to 1-10 with 10 being the highest I'd go with 15...

Butch Haynie

This was our first dinning experience at By The Docks. I must say we were very impressed, from service to the food. I recommend this restaurant to everyone. As we went for a ride on Labor Day and found a jewel.

Connie CAIN

The food was good and fresh I only had soup and salad. The crab cakes looks good. But a lot of sick workers. The one bus boy is walking around coughing without covering his mouth. He was observed handling silverware with his hands . Servers and others were walking around coughing not washing their hands. Food safety first.

Marge Blum

My Aunt who cannot eat Creme Brûlée was told they couldn’t ex change it. That because we had ordered a crab cake special . How sad they couldn’t give her something else . She is 87 and giving her a slice of cake would not have incurred any additional cost.

William Washington

Just had lunch here with my wife, the restaurant was clean and welcoming. My dining experience however was a Huge disappointment. The waiter was very slow and not inviting at all. I sent back my salad due to the lettuce being brown and wilted. We sent back soup due to it being too salty. The biggest insult was my crabcake being a huge blob of filler, when expressing my concern to Mike the restaurant manager, he seemed unconcerned and unaccommodating . Needless to say we will not be coming back to this place, to add insult to injury the waiter Mike was disappointed in the five dollar tip I gave him. He felt that it should have been more. My wife said that her food was just okay.

Karrie Smith

Really nice restaurant. Nice casual atmosphere. The Ahi tuna is the best I've ever had. My husband says that the crab cake was awesome. We ordered lamb chops and they were ok. They weren't really flavorful; we had to add a good bit of steak sauce to wake them up. Overall, this place is definitely worth trying.

Papi Grande

Great food for a great price. Unfortunately our server was disappearing on us but I think this was an issue with her and not the restaurant as the other servers were very active (don't want to be cruel and name her here, it's not that important). The line was hot and fresh, the shrimps were big and the staff was friendly. Would have given 5 stars if the server was more active.

Victoria Harleston

Food was delicious and all u can eat brunch had lots of variety

Brenda Bittner

A friend took me for my Birthday the service was good. And the food was great. But I wish they would have had a blender so I could have got a.frozen drink. That would have been perfect.

Alagra Bass

We had amazing service during the buffet brunch despite having an 11 person party. Everyone loved their food. There were no complaints. Especially LOVED the seafood tortellini. No need to stand in an omelette line as the omelettes are brought to you by your server.

Maria Jordan

First-time visit. I ordered their world-famous crab cake dinner. In my opinion it was the best crab cake I have enjoyed and they do all the work! My son had the Fettuccine Seven Seas and his wife had rockfish stuffed with crab. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals, portions very generous, ambiance excellent. Pleasant wait staff. You must try this place; the menu is fabulous.

Arnita Clemons

Great place good service. Food was delicious!!!

Angel Orthedez

This place is the best to eat crab cake

Riley Phone6869

A really fine place to enjoy dinner and relax. Thanks for a real treat. I can't wait to get to come back with family and friends to share the Atlantic finest in food. Darrell

George Wisner

Me and wife linda went to go in and eat but they were having a reception there so the owner gave a card for 15% off on next meal that was awsome. Plus wife knows owner he hugs her great food

Larence Ryan

It was excellent. I had the combination crab lobster scollop's and shrimp. Great service

Michael Brown

Was good overall. Bread filler was a bit much in the crab cakes.
