This is a Chinese or Asia grocery store. It has lots of stores at California area. This is the first store open in Maryland. Close to the lake forest mall. Has reasonable size of parking lot, and handicap parking and entry. Inside the store was clean, aisles are wide enough for two cart to go both directions. Lots of options on different vegetables, meat and seasoning etc. There are several restaurant type of stores in side this market. Typical Chinese food, if you like. Also has bakery inside too.

For breakfast, I had a barbeque pork bun and my husband had shrimp-filled eggplant, a fried tofu and shrimp dish, and a shrimp ball, with hot coffee and tea. It was all delicious. They were setting out lunch, which looked delicious too. The store just opened Everything was clean and well-organized and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Exceptional good services. Today we are having heaving rain in Maryland and DC area. The store has their people waiting at front door to greeting customers and providing umbrella coat for people who just arriving. And a lady opens her umbrellas to help people who are getting to the cars or walking to the parking lot. Everyone at check out with smile faces to the customers. I am very impressed by their attitudes toward customers. I have been in this area for 40 years. None of the Asia groceries have such good services and friendly attitudes toward their customers.

This new asian grocery store offer unique experience than any other asian grocery. First of all it's clean and organized. Produce are fresh and very lively selection of fresh and frozen sea food. Bakery for all occasion, tea Ren tea place and selection of food court such as tofu town, LaoMa spicy (ramen) and Asian kitchen. The produce prices are cheaper than great Wall. Overall a good Asian market.

It's the Asian grocery store I've always wanted! They have THE 3 things I wished for; authentic Asian goods/brands, actual SALES on items(!!!), and a rare gem of cleanliness that is almost never found in "authentic" Asian grocery stores. The food court area is quite nice too. Been to 3 of them on separate occasions and are pretty good. They're indepently owned shops within the grocery store. Pro Tip- If you spend enough, they'll give you coupons which you can redeem right away for any baked products or store made goods. Good incentives these folks have worked into their store to keep customers coming back!

This Chinese grocery store is impressive, better than H-mart and Great Wall. They have their own bubble tea shop, food court serving a lot of Hong Kong style hot foods and fresh dim sum. Their dim sum prices range from 90 cents to 2.70 depending on what you pick. They also have the roast pork, roast duck, and chicken. There's also 2 other food stalls to choose from. One is specifically sezchuan if you like spicy. The other one is like the typical chinese lunch buffet where you select your own from the typical buffet items. The seafood section is great with live options(oysters, crabs, etc). Everything else is about what you would expect to find from a Chinese store.

Not only does this place have a great selection of produce, meats, seafood, and packaged foods (the usual Asian market stuff), it also has a few food vendors in case you get hungry while shopping. There's a dim sum place which seems ok although the last time I went, the food did not taste fresh at all (but hopefully they've changed in the past year). There is a new vendor with a lot of Tianjin specialties - finally a place where we can eat jianbing guozi and other delicacies! The bakery has a nice variety but some items are a bit pricey, but for $6.99 you can get a Swiss roll cake and let me tell you the taro roll cake is the best I've ever had. It has a dreamy flavor, perfect amount of cream inside, and even if it's a little dry the flavor more than makes up for it!

Good supermarket that takes me back to the ones in Taiwan and China in terms of presentation style. The ingredients in their dim sum to-go section tastes very old though such as the shrimp. Being a supermarket, I’m sure they can always use the freshest ingredients in their ready to eat food which is what they need to start doing.

Big Asian supermarket comparable to H Mart. They basically have everything under one roof. Supermarket and eatery (dim sum, prepared foods, roasted meats chinese style, Korean restaurant, and Ten Ren bubble tea). They have a lot of variety from different Asian countries and good cuts of meat. Also prices are comparable or even cheaper to other Asian markets.

I went here to try out the food court and I was not disappointed. There is a very broad selection to choose from, from the basic to exotic and everything in between. If you are in the mood for dim sum they have you covered. Roast meets? Check. Duck? Check. Spicy Szechuan dry hot pot? Check. I went with the dry hot pot. You pick what you want from a long selection of proteins which are right in front of you, then vegetables. You pay by the pound and then tell them your level of spice. I went with spicy and it came out smoky, spicy and numbing. Next time I will try something new and see if the other offerings are as good. The supermarket is clean, well kit, and well stocked. The veggies all look very fresh.

First impression was the cleanliness when compared to another local international market. The options are plenty for veggies, food and more. They have a small bakery. There are some options for sit down eating. There was also a small tea counter, but I did not look at the options. Parking is satisfactory. Prices are not as good when compared to other places with or without coupons. I would go back for the international items we need, but else where for the basics like milk, eggs and sugar.

Not your typical mega Asian supermarket. It is located in Gaithersburg, MD near Costco where the old Sports Authority was. It's clean, bright, and with service mentality similar to stores in Taiwan, unlike the other two a little south on rt. 355 that always make you feel you owe them a million dollars. Fresh veggies nicely bagged, meat neatly wrapped, they even provide fry or steam fish services. I agree with some fellow reviewers that the food court is not the greatest. But it is better than some restaurants I've tried in the area with much better prices. Also, have you tried the food courts of the other 2 supermarkets? I'd eat here any day than the other 2 on rt. 355. I would rate the food court a 7.5 out of 10. On the other hand, we don't go there for the food court, do we?

Just visited this 99Ranch on Memorial Day weekend a month after grand opening. And it goes without saying that a food lover's market like this is partially made possible from the sweat and sacrifice made by our awesome US servicemen and servicewomen - thank you. Since the shuttering of Meixin in Rockville and Asian market in Annandale, things were looking bleak .... but there is hope now. And for the brief and sweetest ephemeral moment, it felt like I was eating & shopping in the laid-back relaxing atmosphere of Asian food marts in California. Ok, the wonderful soul-filling food in the numerous eateries and TenRen bubble tea cafe (all under one roof) is just unfounded anywhere else. Finding whole roast duck at $21 is just fantastic. And c'mon, how many seafood departments do you know do whole fish fry [take a look a the uploaded pic]. I'm too ecstatic so here are other storied finds: fresh pig jowl (yes, I said fresh not frozen, see pic), Taiwanese bakery, boiled salted peanuts (yeah, it's not just a Southern thing), congee, dimsum, taro cake rolls (hard to find anywhere else, see pic), live striped bass, on choy, snow pea tips, silk chicken, pearl jelly sweet bean popsicles (w/ expire date that's much longer than next week; see pic), etc. There is just too much.... ah man, I just gained two happy lbs recalling all this food. 99Ranch, hope to see more new locations in Northern VA area - ...

This Chinese store is spacious. Had a lot of authentic Chinese brands plus the fruits and veggies are almost fresh. They also have food court that says Asian food. I would not recommend the "beef stew with egg noodles" only because the noodles don't taste like egg noodles and the beef was too big. Soup didn't have much flavor and nothing else in it. Highly disappointed for $7.95. There was other food in the food section and the price was very reasonable. I just happened pick the soup that didn't tasted like nothing. The bakery has a lot selection in terms of pastries . My family bought several of them home to have for breakfast. The kids enjoyed the pastries. I was quite pleased with the parking space 99 Ranch Market definitely pick great location.

This review is just for the cooked food area. Went in at 12:30 on a Tuesday to get some congee for my sick husband. I ordered at the counter and got 3 pieces of dim sum for $2.85 and 1 congee. Ordering and paying was quick and efficient. Dim sum was very big so that was great. What was really horrible was the very very very long wait for the congee. There were 2 orders ahead of me. 1 cook with no assistants. At lunch time. That's setting yourself up for failure. I saw that it was taking very long and felt a little better because the woman in front of me ordered two orders of the same congee as I ordered, so I figured once it got to us it would be quick. Not so. The cook had to wash the pots first, then heat each congee individually, cook the meat and restock scallions. So she made two orders and then restart the process for my order. Wow it took over 20 minutes! And it wasn't that great...way too much Ginger. Lesson learned, if you're going to buy the cooked foods, order first, go shopping, and then come back.

Awesome Chinese grocery store! It's complete with bubble tea shop, ready-to-eat food, small food courts, and bakery. Very affordable with a large selection of fresh and packaged food. They have items that I can't find at Great Wall, Hmart, or Lotte Mart. Feels like T&T supermarket in Canada. Can feel packed when busy. Parking lot is always full at peak times.

Pretty decent grocery store with a nicely diverse food court area. There's a variety of produce, snacks, and hot foods. The seafood section sells out of some items fast, so make sure you shop early especially on weekends. The hot foods area seemed just ok overall. If you're willing to drive a little bit further, Great Wall Supermarket is still better in selection. For the grand opening they are offering $1 coupons for the food court for every $20 spent and $2 after $60 on weekdays and $80 on weekends. I still like HMart a little bit better for quality

Poor customer service from the cashier Yan, she allowed another customer to jump the line and when it was my turn there was customer interactions, eye contact during our encounter. Another cashier had to come over and asked if I needed bags to put my groceries in, that should've been my cashier job.
