Went in today on fathers day and I couldn't say how pleased I am. The line for fresh seafood was all the way back to the door. Not only was their team work great but so was their attitudes. They handled that rush like no ones business. I was able to pick up 50 crabs at a great size for a great price and in a timely manner for how busy they were. I highly recommend this buisness to anyone with any seafood needs.

Great variety, great prices, arguably the best flavor and quality of seafood in Hammond! If you’re dining in, you get two choices: order at the counter or sit down and have your order taken. If you choose “hot” boiled seafood, your selection is pulled from open-air hampers, rapidly becoming less-hot by the second thanks to the overabundant indoor air conditioning! They will happily “dip” your seafood to make it hot once again, though it inconveniences the staff, and it tends to overlook the grub every single time. You’d get four stars (possibly even five) if you took a basic, standard measure of utilizing igloo-type coolers to keep your hot boiled seafood...HOT!!! Novel concept, make the investment and you’ll instantly get an improved and updated review from me!

If you want to eat at a real seafood restaurant, this is the place. They have fresh and cooked seafood. On one side of the restaurant you can pick up live lobster, crawfish, shrimp, etc. when in season, and also find lots of frozen seafood and side items, along with some unique handmade and seafood packages. The other side sells boiled and fried seafood, along with hamburgers and other American food. Watch for their specials on all the above. This is a "blue jeans and t-shirt" kind of place to enjoy down south related food. The prices are excellent and portions hearty. We always stop by when we're in the area.

We purchased 5 lbs. boiled crawfish today 3/22 @ B.J.'S seafood. The crawfish where so small, they were the size of my little finger or smaller. I ordered 01 dozen large crabs and they were no way LARGE. At best they were 3-4 inches point to point & $25 doz., but I must say they were full of meat. TOTAL PRICE $54. What a disgrace to the public. NEVER AGAIN-- RH

They have FRESH seafood, frozen seafood, and fresh, cooked seafood that can be eaten on - premises or taken out. Service and food and prices are VERY Good. The only thing is that they close at 6 P.M. This is a long-run family business. The people are very nice and work very hard.

Of all the tragedies of Katrina, one of the bright points of light is B&J's coming to Hammond! Great, fresh and frozen, Louisiana seafood selections. Be sure to check out their lunch counter for really delicious hot foods. If you're lucky enough to visit on a day they have stuffed artichokes, don't leave without one. Best I've ever had!

Fresh seafood! You can pickup a couple pounds of shrimp and catfish to cook at home or eat it fresh on app out or platter. Huge variety of frozen food from boudain crawfish tails. Great service and family owned. Only negative is that it’s so good, that you should get there early or be ready to wait in line. 5 stars!

B&J's has great live seafood. I've made several large purchases of live crawfish and live crab, and the quality is top notch. The store itself does not smell like a typical seafood market, it smells clean and like fresh seafood. Also, they have provided me with ice to top off my seafood purchase for the ride home-- a great bonus. Great service and great prices too! I recommend B&J Seafood, it's worth the drive if it's not close to where you live!

Have been to B & J Seafood before, food and service wonderful. It was near closing time, we didn't notice times when we walked in, and was given excellent service and food with No hint from any of the employee's that it was closing time, only noticed when we walked out, got in car and saw closed sign. This visit was take out, order was taken and service was very good. Food was very good, normally 1/2 hour drive home, food from seafood platter is horribly greasy, this was not. Nice to go out and have great service and food!! Thank you B & J Seafood!!!

If you are looking for atmosphere, this is not the place, but if you are looking for some of the best Sea Food that you have had anywhere, at a very reasonable price, then this is your place. The locals know it well and it is convenient to nearby hotels and just slightly off the main interstate flow. As a bonus, The Comfort Inn, which is within a quarter of a mile gave us some of the best service ever at a very good price. We will definitely arrange our next trip around this location.

Ordered some food to-go. (It was great by the way!!!) My 1 yr old really enjoyed the animals decor. It was a relatively pleasant experience. Only thing negative I would have to say is that even though we were just waiting for the food to bring home, it was sooo hot in there. My son, mom, and I were all dripping sweat. I couldn't sit there and eat if given the choice. But other than that, it's an awesome spot for boiled seafood and lunch.

This is a must stop for us any time we come through Hammond. The staff are very hospitable. Prices are a little high But you pay for What you get. Everything from frozen foods to spices to hot lunches and fresh seafood. Parking can be a little chaotic. The gumbo is amazing!

Stopped into B&J while in Hammond on business. This place was pretty busy at lunchtime. I ordered 3 lbs of crawfish & boiled shrimp. The crawfish were mediocre at best, as in not great. The shrimp were not edible, some hard, some very soft with a pungent smell. I can say that they do have a large variety of frozen foods & the staff was nice.
