Lots of animals especially saltwater fish and corals, as well as live rock. I don't know anything about saltwater aquariums so I can't say anything about their quality other than they look nice and clean. The snakes are very healthy looking as are the other animals they have even though the smell is a little pungent when you first walk in (but that's hard to stop when you have small mammals). Watch out for the pup though she likes to jump in your face if your not careful, but shes sweet! Wish I could have bought that baby scaleless rat snake!

I went in here after going around to the other pet stores. I wasn't expecting much when we pulled in. After I went inside I was appalled. The cages were all incredibly dirty. We left after we saw two dead animals. One being a baby beardie and the other a turtle. This places does NOT need to handle live animals as they treat them terribly. Do not give this place your business.

Bought all my fish here when I started my tank then I got 2 more same type fish same place added them properly came home this afternoon and all but one fish were dead. They did water sample said my water was bad and come back in 2 weeks for another test. Said wasn't anything I did or could do just had to wait for the water to settle it's self. Turned me down on a refund for the 2 fish I bought the evening before. Said they guarantee you a healthy fish not a healthy tank. I mean jeez I just put 2 of your fish in my tank and they all died but 1 come on as a good business owner and to show appreciation to those who spend their money in your expensive store I think they could have made me feel better with store credit or refund. I got nada. Won't go back just says they don't care to loose a customer.

Got my pet rat from there and I couldn’t be happier! The staff was more than friendly and gave me the time to mess with a few and choose which one I liked the most. I’ve never had a pet rat from a pet store be so loving, but she is and I’m satisfied!! Would definitely recommend coming here. :)

I went to this store to get two new rat babies to add to my family. When I got them both seemed healthy, maybe some respiratory issues which is a cheap vet bill, nothing to crazy, and something that is very common in rats. I took the home and took them to the vet two days after I had got them only to find out that they have PARASITES. Not only did they have parasites, but they also had mites and a full blown respiratory disease that they spread to one of my girls (note they were not in the same cage.) Both rats died, despite being treated for all of these things. I WILL NEVER GET ANY ANIMALS FROM HERE AGAIN.

Paid this place a visit when I was down from Minnesota and wasn't disappointed. Awesome selection and the aquarium setups really show that the owner knows what they are doing. Inventory was great (I was only there for the fish but the birds were very entertaining! I'll be back next year when I come down for LS Fest!

First of all, the smell was awful. I gave them the benefit of a doubt since it is a pet store after all, but as I continued to view the animals I noticed that the cages were filthy. There is trash in the cages. The dirt is caked up on the trays at the bottom of the rodent cages. The fish tanks were unclean as well.

Most of the tanks were very dirty. Green algae all over and in the gravels. Almost all of the reptiles had a cardboard piece in the bottom of their habitat for bedding. Definitely needs to be deep cleaned.

Very disappointed in what I seen the other day. There was a baby Beardie that looked very malnourished and like it was barely even alive. It also looked way too small to even be sold in the store. Please make sure to take better care of your animals!!!

Decent place, but some of the pet items are of poor quality. Worker tried to tell me the bird ladders aren't glued, however some fell apart and some did not. Food cups for my birds were reasonably priced. Also, the smell is absolutely rancid. They need to keep it cleaner. Otherwise it's a decent place.

Very knowledgeable staff. This is the best place to go if you are looking to buy a reptile, or even care for one. Reptiles at Petco/Pet Smart/other chain pet stores are typically sickly and tend to die soon after purchase. Pet Central genuinely cares for all of their animals and will help you do the same. This is the only place I go for food/lights/advice for my bearded dragons and ball python.

This is where I got my hedgehog. I called them at a time when they didn't have any hedgehogs, but they kept my number and called me back as soon as a breeder sold some to them. Their staff is very friendly and helpful, and to be honest, they seem to have better professional knowledge about animals than employees at larger pet store chains. I'm also impressed by their variety of pets. I'd say this is the best pet store in Bowling Green.

This is the best pet store in BG. The staff is very knowledgeable and are more than happy to help in any way they can. They answer all of my questions and also give suggestions on care of the animals so that a person can make a more educated decision on what they are buying. Because they are willing to spend as much time as needed with each of their customers, it does sometimes take a while to be helped. But while you are waiting, they have many different animals to check out. My only suggestion to the owner would be to keep at least three staff in the store at all times because you will have customers who are in more of a rush to get in and back out.

Great place, the staff is always friendly and never lost patience even when asked the same question different ways over and over.people complain about this or that but live animals in a retail stire setting isnt like taking care of a single pet its a constant battle to keep it to people high expectations if any of the big store chains i.e. petco or petsmart dealt in a larger scale live animals i promise it would look the same.as far as "sick" or infested animals anytime you buy any animal there is a chance that is why you vet. And/or isolate the new friend for a period of times and petstores small or large take the same chances consumer's do they have to go on faith and experience hoping said animal they receive is healthy and fit pet stores are not vet offices they are stores.

After reading the lowest reviews I must completely disagree. I breed tarantulas and keep many other arthropods. Pet central has never given me anything but outstanding service, has ordered things special for me, and has had a huge selection of animals and feeders that are all of high quality. Not only that, but the staff has taken the time to note my needs and know what I will be dealing with when I come in. I have lived in several cities and go to pet stores in every city I visit; pet central is the best I’ve seen. I have been shopping with them for about two years, with the last 12 months being my most active.
