I had the Shrimp box and my wife had the fish sandwich. Unless you are at a restaurant on the coast, you can't get fresher seafood. Great prices. Won't go anywhere else for carry out seafood. Parking is limited but the wait isn't long either. No seating but we get our food and go to a shady spot and eat it. We've not found anyplace in or around Lexington that has better tasting food. We recommend this place to everybody.

The whitefish special here is amazing. You get two pieces of fish about 12" long + 2 sides (fries, cole slaw, or hush puppies). It's comical to see those two giant pieces of fish on one regular sized bun. If you don't like tartar sauce, ask for ketchup instead of tartar sauce when you order or they charge extra for more ketchup.

Not your typical corner fish market. Excellent whitefish lunch special. No frills, right to the point. More fish than bun, perfect hushpuppies. Always fantastic every time. Even get some crab legs or tuna steaks to take home for dinner. Or some whiting filets to try to make your own fish sandwich at home. While it might be good, chances are it will not be as good as Charlie's best fish sandwich in town!

Family owned. A great place to buy seafood. A good variety. I like the fish fry batter. Also, they have a to go fast food counter. They are known for having a superb fish sandwich and fries box. You have to try their hushpuppies. Yum. The white fish sandwich is two fillets on a bun. My favorite item there. Although I like the clams as well. Parking is a major issue. I believe it has been in business for about 50 years.

Just had shrimp. I specifically asked if they were heavily breaded or not. I was assured that they didn't like them heavily breaded, so no. Guess what: big disappointment. Tried to peel as much off as I could and ended up hungry for $9.54. Cole slaw was so-so. Three stars still as food was fresh and hot and service was nice. Won't be back.

I love seafood in all forms, but the fried whitefish special at Charlie's is at the top of my list if I am craving a fish sandwich. The fillets are always fried just right, and the size of the portions overwhelm the bun. I usually have a fillet left over for later. Don't miss this local gem.

Nobody - NOBODY - makes better fried fish than Charlies! Take out only and parking is very limited. After you order, you stand in line, while your food is cooked for you. NO HEAT LAMPS. Famous for their fish sandwich, but I am partial to their fried shrimp.
