Don't go anywhere else but here for pet(s), advice, or pet products. These people truly care about their animals. They are super helpful and really knowledgeable. If you purchase an animal that has special needs, they require you fulfill those needs before leaving with said pet. Which I totally agree with. All in all please come here and support these guys. They aren't a chain like petsmart or petco. They pay the employees well, the store has a down to earth relaxed feeling. You get real customer service here and knowledge that comes from experience.

The Tye-dyed Iguana is a great place to visit or to purchase pets or supplies. The staff is VERY knowledgeable and super friendly. Customer service is on point, you are greeted when you walk in the door, and every employee was eager to answer any questions we had. We drive over 2 hours to visit them and get our poison dart frogs. They absolutely have my continued business.

I'm not going to lie, the smell isn't great. But the staff is so knowledgeable and experienced, with all of them owning exotic pets of their own you never feel like you are walking out of there with misinformation. Most of them know the subject backwards and forwards so if you a novice it is a great place to check out, especially for advice. EDIT: I want to make very clear, the smell isn't necessarily bad, it isn't some sort of "deal-breaker" or anything. It just demonstrates how much is going on in the building on a biological level. I still happily rated this place five stars because the smell is all part of the environment. I've been in other exotic animal facilities that made me want to scrub my eyes and nose out afterwards and this is not the case for the Tye-Dyed Iguana. Their facility is very clean, very orderly, and it is clear that the employees all very much care about where they work and what they do. I could not recommend this place enough. I just wanted to also say that I wouldn't necessarily bottle up the scent of the location and spray it on myself every morning after a shower. Keep up the good work, Tye-Dyed Iguana, I don't want you to change a bit!

Great store, the gentleman who was at the reptile show was at the store when we arrived on Monday and helped us for over an hour showing us the various items we needed to set up our habitat. They also have some of the neatest display reptiles snakes and turtles...love this place!

I adore the Tye-Dyed Iguana! The staff is so knowledgeable and helpful. A few months ago I came in looking for a starter snake. They set me up with a little baby albino corn snake who is just the sweetest thing. I am super thankful for the recommendation and the help in picking her out and getting her all set up. Besides that I honestly enjoy just coming in and checking out the huge selection of reptiles and fish, and of course to check in on Aphrodite. The environment is so welcoming. I definitely recommend them for any of your reptile/exotic needs or even just to go look around!

Excellent store to find your next reptile. They also have carnivorous plants. Here you can get the whole set up to grow indoor plants and house snakes, turtles, birds, and fish. Excellent staff with great customer service skills. Their location is tucked in the back of the plaza so unfortunately you will not be able to see it from highway 50. I would recommend this place to all of my friends and family that are interested in buying a new pet.

I love this place, not only is it fun to look around and see all of the reptiles but the staff is so knowledgeable. They helped me essentially keep my veiled chamelion alive. I had no knowledge about them and taking one on wasnt a choice but he needed a home. Every time I go in for his crickets I leave very satisfied. We have even bought fish and frogs from here. They are great. I highly recommend if you have any questions at all to go see them, they will help you with anything !

The Dye Iguana is the best reptile store in the St. Louis area hands down. I’m more than willing to make the 50 mile journey for the friendly knowledgeable staff, and the great selection. These people are so knowledgeable and are more than willing to answer any questions you have and share their vast knowledge of reptiles with you. The store is so clean, and doesn’t have that typical “pet store smell”. All of the animals are very healthy looking, and all of the enclosures are always clean. They also do reptile boarding. We boarded our young bearded dragon there a few years back and we almost didn’t recognize him when we got him back because he was so much bigger than when we dropped him off! I’m so grateful to have this place as a much better alternative to Petsmart or pet co.

I cannot say enough positive things about the Tye-Dyed Iguana. We drove about 45 mins after some lengthy research online to ensure we picked the proper place. We couldn’t of been happier with our decision within seconds of walking in the door and being greeted by Eric and Jacob. The selection of animals and products displayed is simply incredible. We simply went in to get a few accessories and a new light setup for our bearded dragon.. However we ended up getting a new 75 gallon tank with all the bells and whistles. I cannot thank you guys enough for your professionalism. You have earned our business moving forward. Big shout out to Eric and that awesome beard.

First came to this store on a recommendation from a friend who keeps bearded dragons. Me being a fish keeper was surprised of the cleanliness of the store and tanks. Pretty good selection. The reason Im giving them 5 stars is for the addition of hydroponic products. I am an indoor gardener that grows my own strawberries and herbs (basil, garlic, and cilantro).
