You may have noticed that it reaches an feddbacks average is high, and it's founded on a large number of opinions, so we may be pretty sure that the valuation is very reliable. If many people have bothered to give their opinion when they are pleased, it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to give tatings when they are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Fish Shop corresponds to the category of Sandwich shop.
Great sandwiches! Wonderful service.
Each day before we started our sightseeing we started it with breakfast. We came to Ernie's and got the corn beef hash and the ernie's omelette. The corn beef hash comes with 2 eggs while the omelette came with crispy potatoes. Both dishes were great, our favorite was the crispy potatoes. We also got a sticky bun to go. This was probably my favorite thing we purchased the sticky toffee/caramel was so good, I tried scraping off every little bit left on the little paper tray it came on.
This is a good restaurant or i should say a quick stop for breakfast, they serve fresh delicious sandwiches. They are usually very busy and quite crowded but they do serve pretty quick. Staff is very friendly and patient with us. Would recommend it to everyone whose on the way to an adventure to yellow stone national park.
Great place, outstanding service by the owner - the place for food to take into the park. This is a must place to visit in West Yellowstone
Good Food with a lovely gift shop. Friendly employees fun place to stretch your legs a bit.
Friendly, great sandwiches, great bakery, only open until 2 pm.
Excellent service. Perfect to stop for a quick bite heading out of town.
Great donuts and coffee
This place was terrible on service. Slow, slow, slow. Took forever to get our food. When we got our food it was cold and not cooked correctly. Food was terrible to! For what it cost, they could at least give you real plates and silverware. Maybe instead of 3 people taking orders you should have more cooks or cooks helpers to get the food out quicker. BY THE WAY I AM NOT HIDING BEHIND MY COMPUTER. YOUR FOOD AND CUSTOMER SERVICE WERE TERRIBLE. NICE HOW YOU MOCK EVERY REVIEW THAT IS NEGATIVE.
Nice breakfast spot in town. Service was good food was great. Bit pricey for my taste but still a go to spot in town
Love this place! We stopped in here every morning before heading into Yellowstone. They have excellent coffee and great food. We tried several of their sandwiches and took them to go into the park for lunch. All of their sandwiches were good, even hours later! We also had breakfast there one morning. The hubs got the biscuits and gravy. The sausage gravy was good but the biscuits were fantastic! I had the veggie omelet which was huge and yummy! The service is friendly, but there can be a bit of a wait during rush times.
One of the best family owned shoppes in the area. The food is amazing, if you do not know what you want you can ask the owner and he will recommend something to you that is sure to please!
Great lunch and breakfast food. Very friendly bunch. Ernie was the best.
Great place to grab box lunch for your trips to Yellowstone national park, because it will save you time within the park, which has limited food options only in certain areas, and also there are many picnic benches within the park where you can have your food. Great combo, offering fresh sandwiches, fruit/chips, cookie, chocolate and a drink. Quick service and friendly staff.
Food was great!
Brought me the wrong order twice. My wife's fried fish was burnt to a crisp.
Love these sorts of places. At Ernie's they know what they do and they do it great. Good food, coffee and wifi.
Food was delicious, plentiful & fast service.
Light to large meals. Good and tasty. We shall return
The shop is nice and clean! The French toast however, was terrible. It was so soggy that it wouldn't stay on the fork. My fiance got the corned beef hash and it was good. We may try here again for lunch, but will definitely stay away from the French toast.
Box lunch is awesome! 1000 times better than anything you’ll get in the park. Coffee and pastries are great for breakfast also
If you’re going into Yellowstone at all, stop by Ernie’s in your way and pick up a box lunch! Saves you time and money in the park with the freedom to stop at any scenic location to eat. The owners are incredibly nice and accommodating- we were heading into the park at 6am and they didn’t open until 7, but the owners met up at 6am so we could pick up our lunches. Not to mention the food is delicious! The cookie in the lunch alone makes it worth it. My only suggestion for the restaurant would be to vary their chip selection in the boxes- since every box gets plain lays. Overall great experience both times I’ve ordered from them!
A nice casual breakfast and sandwich shop. They have a good breakfast menu and also will do lunch boxes. We were traveling with our dog so the outside tables are a big plus. Very convenient to have breakfast and pick up a couple of box lunches before heading for a day at the park.
Food was very good with large portions!
Overall a filling and delicious meal. I was only disappointed to find that the food was served on disposable styrofoam plates accompanied by plastic utensils
Great food. We stopped and picked up box lunches each day. Excellent quality and for $11, it was easy enough food for lunch and a snack.
Great food, super fresh! Excellent, fast and friendly service! We will be back for sure
Wonderful breakfast the French toast was awesome!!!
Great food.
One of the best breakfasts in West Yellowstone. Their Ernie's omelette is my favorite. So tasty! Friendly staff. Great place to eat or order take out.
The Montana Burger- The dankest western style burger I've ever had! Im glad I looked at the lunch menu today because I usually build my own sandwiches at Ernies.
Food was good but the experience was not. Counter service only, establishment uses disposable plates, cups, and cutlery. dining on plastic is not my cup of tea.
We stopped at Ernie's for breakfast before spending the day in Glacier National Park. We had sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwiches on English muffins. They were so fresh, hot, and really large portions. Absolutely fantastic! Highly recommended.
Essentially an expensive sandwich shop. Not suitable for healthy eating. Vegetarian options very limited. For European standards not a good eatery. Cannot recommend and wouldn’t return. Clean place and clean toilets, good location if visiting NP.
Stopped here today on our way out of Yellowstone. The owner was friendly, the portions were large, the sandwiches with the freshly made bread were incredible, thick, full of meat and just the right amount of sauce, and the Yellowstone Bearclaw was outstanding, soft exterior, sweet icing, and cinnamon goodness and it was large enough for the four of us to split easily and everyone felt like they had enough. This place is a gem, we will be back again.
Loved the food we got for lunch.
Really good breakfast and best place for a bag lunch. I got a turkey & Swiss on a French roll with all of the fix-in's, including a drink & chips. Prices are what you would expect in a national park/tourist area. The amount of food is worth the price.
Darling place. Their bread for sandwiches and burgers is fantastic, as well at their coleslaw. Great little visit for our Yellowstone trip.
Best Breakfast in Town...
Great oatmeal cookies!
Bread was excellent. Meatball sub could have been hotter. Casual dining extensive menu. Real french bread and pastries. Will be back.
The burgers are delicious and huge!
Best breakfast sandwiches we've ever had! Made an excellent latte as well. Recommend stopping here for sure!
Great sandwiches
Had a takeaway lunch from here two years ago which was excellent, so we thought we’d try the breakfast this time. We weren’t disappointed. Ernie’s Omelette and French Toast with fruit were excellent. Staff were very friendly and efficient Best breakfast of our holiday so far.
Stopped here for lunch on the way into Yellowstone. My hot roast beef sandwich was good, however my wife's gluten-free sandwich was pretty bad. They use the rice loaf bread, which might be the worst kind. Bottom line, go gluten-full! Also, the burgers looked ridiculously good, I had sandwich-envy.
I loved this little stop off in our adventure. The owner was extremely patient and knowledgeable about the menu. He gave great service and made small talk while our group was deciding. The prices were acceptable for the amount of food offered and the iced americano was delicious, straight up. The Spanish omelet was extremely tasty and even kept well to reheat the next day.
Great sandwiches! Quick service and plenty of options.
All of their food is very good but way overpriced in my opinion
Good breakfast. Not expensive. Awesome baked goods. Friendly workers.
Good food and packed lunches for the park!
The rye bread was great. My chicken and swiss sandwich was pretty tasty. My husband ordered the meal with chips, apple, candy and drink. It was the same sandwich, but mine had the condiments on as requested, his did not. Odd.
Great small eatery and bakery. The staff are super friendly and handled us tourists without missing a beat. Prices are good and the food filling. Would go again!
Locals seem to like it. Indoor and outdoor seating. Selling point: Baller breakfast burritos.
One of THE best delus I have ever been to and one of the best bargains for the buck in West Yellowstone. Great menu with box lunch options. Pick one up before you head into the park and save a ton!
The best breakfast in West Yellowstone, hands down.
The last 4 times we've stopped in, ALL bakery items have been sold out. This last time, we arrived at 9:15 am, and NOTHING! One hour & fifteen minutes after opening, GONE! Pretty sad when a company can't meet public demand! Won't be wasting my time again. BIG FROWN
Nice little sandwich and pastry place. Quick and easy. Food was delicious.
The best breakfast in town. Had the Montana haystack and biscuits and gravy. Both were awesome!!! Boxed lunches are yummy and a great value!
We loved this little place. The food is wonderful and the staff seem very friendly. We there 3 times during our stay at West Yellowstone. We ordered sandwiches to go and had a picnic in the park. We highly recommend this place!
Great breakfast!
GREAT Foods every bodies. From North Carolina.
The food at Ernie’s is always fresh, the service is always fast, and the staff is always friendly. I always enjoy my experience here! The crepes were amazing!!
Fantastic place to get breakfast or lunch. The menu options are tres bien and I had Eggs Benedict with jalapenos added on top You may stop for breakfast only to take away one of their amazing box lunches. C'est manifique!
Great spot! We tried their breakfast sandwiches and crepes and they were all amazing! Everything tastes very fresh and homemade!
Great bakery stuff. Nice people.
Ernie's is a great place to stop for lunch. The owner, Matt and his wife Carolyn, are super friendly and very accommodating. They make all their fine breads right in the store, in European tradition. They have a good variety of homemade desserts too. Any thing you choose will be delicious. The box lunches they create for your trip into Yellowstone will never disappointment you. Don't miss stopping by!
Cute place, reasonable prices, friendly staff and good food. They offer boxed lunches to take into the park too.
Only ordered a bagel and a mini sticky. It'd be unfair of me to critique the bagel, forgot to ask for it warmed up, so heads up if anyone just assumes they'll warm it for you. The mini sticky was alright, just a little stale and dry, tasted good though. Didn't have too much of an experience, it was early and most everyone in there seemed out of it, nice place tho, clean, quiet. Might try it again.
Great sandwiches and nice people. I'll go there again soon.
Delicious sandwiches and pastries. Would definitely come back again if we ever come back!
Had a great cup of Joe and an incredible Yellowstone Bear Paw. Started our day out on a wonderful note, so as you are heading into West Yellowstone keep an eye out for Ernies on the right hand side of the road.
Huge quality sandwiches, Great owner and very clean environment. I will keep going back and suggest you try it. You will keep coming back.
Ernie's is a must eat when in West. It's a tradition for us,,,, I like the donuts best.
Great spot to pick up a sandwich to eat later in the day while on a hike!
Good breakfast, friendly employee
A delicious restaurant with friendly staff a "french" menu.
Very good breakfast.
Nice cold sandwiches to go!
The Ernie’s burger that I ordered was massive and the Brie cheese with fried onions on it was really unique. Huge side of fries and the prices were fair and the staff is friendly. I’d be a regular to this place if I lived here!
We like to come here to get sandwiches for our picnic in Yellowstone but this last time we went in was just crazy. It took them almost an hour to make 5 sandwiches. Super slow and they were out of almost everything my brother wanted. It was only 9:30 am. They were out of tuna, turkey, and chicken. They are wonderful sandwiches but they just need to change some things.
We stumbled upon Ernie's, driving into Yellowstone Park, one morning during a family vacation. We got there late in the morning and grabbed some delicious pastries. So impressed with our breakfast on the go, we came back the next day and grabbed pastries and 3 boxes lunches for the park. They were great and so much easier than dragging around the cooler and preparing lunch. The box lunches lacked for nothing, all the food groups and a little treat as well. It was a whopper of a deal! The next day was we were leaving we stopped to have a hot breakfast, The Montana Haystack is phenomenal! What a great business, I hope Ernie's continues to be prosperous as I look forward to returning.
Great food, friendly service. Must stop in if your in town
Stopped for breakfast on the way to Yellowstone Park. Ordered Ernie's special omelet for $11.95. Absolutely the worst food I've ever eaten in a restaurant. Eggs appeared to have been watered down. Ingredients hard to identify. Hash browns a big clump of soggy spuds. And this all served on a paper plate with a plastic fork and knife. The next day we tried the pancake place and found the best in the West.
Everything on the menu were good. If you are a vegetarian, they can substitute for veggies in most of the menu. All in all it was a good place.
At Ernie's both breakfast and lunch are served. I went to Ernie's for lunch. Ernie's is counter service with the a variety of sandwiches. I went with one other person and we each had vegetarian sandwiches. Both of our sandwiches had high quality ingredients but weren't executed well. I also found the price to be expensive for the amount of food received relative to West Yellowstone. I would try breakfast here, but I don't think I would try lunch again.
Stopped by here for breakfast and lunch sandwiches every day while exploring Yellowstone.
One of the best Bakery in Montana/Wyoming! For swisspeople the best Place to eat breakfast!
Ernie's was our go to place while staying in West Yellowstone. The food was delicious and the restaurant was clean and inviting. They were always busy but we were served promptly and accurately. Whether you are looking for a delicious breakfast a hot lunch or boxed lunch for your day on trails you should give Ernie's a try. Their chai latte was the best I have ever had.
Over priced, sandwich fell apart, soggy then when I complained the manager was rude. (I guess in France they can do that to paying veteran customers). Then my son's food was extremely late compared to the rest of our food. Then when I asked when his order would be ready the manager was once again rude. My kids can cook better and provide better service. Plus customers just running rampant all over the place. Not a good place to visit especially if you've served your country and don't like disorderly conduct. Spent 55 dollars on 3 sandwiches and 4 cokes
Good food and atmosphere
We stopped here twice on on our vacation the food was so good. They aren't stingy with the portions and we took leftovers home! Staff is very friendly and talkative. Best breakfast in town!
The sandwiches that we had were meaty and delicious wish they were in Florida.
Nice selection. I'll be back to try the Montana Haystack breakfast.
Great service, delicious breakfast and pastries, good pricing. The boxes lunch sandwiches have a gluten free bread option. Soy milk available for lattes. Great atmosphere for dining in, or on the patio, and a good variety of cold drinks for sale. Somewhat awkward parking, but still good.
Delicious sandwiches. Huge portions
Great place for breakfast before heading into Yellowstone National Park! Wholesome, homemade food at good prices. The coffee was great, too. If you need a bag lunch for the day, this would be a good choice, too. The staff were super-friendly and service was fantastic. I would definitely go again. Parking was limited, but it was the right choice for us to start off our day.
Decent little breakfast place; it's listed as a "bakery" but the selection of baked goods it pretty limited. I ended up ordering the French toast (pictured). The berries were nice, but the toast was pretty soggy/soft. It depends on how you like your toast. The eggs were also VERY peppery--I don't like pepper much. All in all, it's good for West Yellowstone, but I wouldn't re-visit. Better off at the Running Bear Pancake House.
Amazing! What a wonderful place! I have a Gluten, Dairy, and Soy allergy and I was able to eat there with absolutely no problems. The staff is so nice and helpful. The prices are also very reasonable for Gluten free options compared to what I normally see. Definitely a great place to eat with lots of choices.
Good coffee, and not bad potato
Great breakfast food and friendly staff
The food was amazing and the staff was super friendly!
The food was great, I could taste the familiarity of french cooking. Its a nice family owned restaurant. Enjoyed the chimney w the cold weather outside
Excellent food and friendly people and environment. Defiantly will come back.
Good sandwiches to grab on your way into Yellowstone
Best lunch in West Yellowstone!
Great sandwiches that we were able to get to go early morning to take into the park for lunch!
Great sandwich shop. Lovely BLT served with a smile and friendly staff. Clean restroom. Just what the weary traveller needs.
Outstanding fresh sandwiches. Great place for box lunch on way to Yellowstone. Must go place.
Out of way place I found while on vacation. I loved it. Awesome food. Will pack bagged lunches for Yellowstone excursions. Cheaper and better.
Fast service, excellent food and the staff are very friendly. I definitely will come back before we leave the park.
We we're just wandering around looking for a place to eat lunch and decided on Ernie's. It was a good choice because they have good food and a friendly atmosphere. I don't think there was one person in our group that didn't enjoy their meal. The pastries look really good, I am going to have to go back in.
Relatively fast service and good for carrying food into Yellowstone. Their breakfast sandwiches are huge and good and their donuts were too
We came here about 7 years ago and thought it would be nice to stop in again while in the area. We paid average prices for food (about $30 for two breakfasts and drinks), but were served on paper plates with plastic utensils! We had to get up numerous times for the basics. Ketchup, coffee refills, sugar, cream. Only napkins are provided on the table. There was zero table service here! We had a baby with us, struggling to eat with them in arms. I got up to look for a highchair, but couldn't find one in the eating area. Located it only at the end of our visit, near restroom. This really should have been mentioned by staff, or noticed. I guess with being this close to Yellowstone they don't need to worry about impressing the locals. Their little cuts might save them money, and with the amount of people in and out while we ate...I'm sure they're not struggling. Looks cute from the outside, but would skip next time. They have a half-French/American thing going, but we both lived in France for years....this would never happen in there! It's like being served wine in a plastic cup, what are they thinking! It's turned more into a fast food stop for sure, but with the prices of a sit down restaurant! I hope they shape up and start treating their sit-down customers like they should be.
Between Ernie's and the Running Bear, there's no need to go anywhere else for breakfast. The sandwiches here are incredible, and the French bread has an excellent bit and holds up to the rest of the sandwich. Their pastries are top notch and the coffee (got a caramel latte) was full of flavor. Definitely do not overlook this little gem!
Great food
WHY DIDN’T I SEE THIS SOONER? = Off the beaten path, it’s still a wonder how popular this place seems to be among visitors (mixed with a good number of locals) all planning out their day on the indoor picnic tables. With highly friendly employees and even gourmet soda on display—this is a great place to grab breakfast and grab some food energy for the day. FLUFFY DELICIOUS BREAD = Normally I care more about what’s in between the buns than the Bread itself but their homemade Bread is definitely killer! Very, very soft with a light taste. It really added to the deliciousness of my Hot Roast Beef Sandwich (with delicious, not overwhelming Horseradish Mayo), Firehole Sandwich (with Salsa Turkey and Crispy Veggies), and Cinnamon Swirl Donut.
Wonderful lunchboxes for a trip to Yellowstone National Park! Delicious sandwiches with a European touch.
Great value for box lunch, also great taste and generous portion for the sandwich, highly recommend!
We have been in the US for just over two weeks and this was the best breakfast we have had! French toast with fruit - perfect! We usually take a packed lunch from here to go into Yellowstone Park and it is always of the best quality.
We stayed in West Yellowstone for 3 days and had Ernie's everyday. Conviently located across the street, this place was a life saver for lunch and breakfast. Fresh ingredients, great prices, generous sizes and friendly service, Ernie's is a gem, a must visit while in West Yellowstone.
Excellent place to pack a lunch before your fishing trip! Delicious, fresh sandwiches.
Excellent food; great service; definitely worth the stop for food in West Yellowstone!!
Good food. Nice selection of pastries. The breakfast sandwiches are pricey, but they are enormous and filling. Incredibly slow at making lattes.
Ernie's serves a terrific sandwich! You can make your own or pick one of theirs. I liked the Southwestern Club and the Italian Club was great, too. I only wish they would stay open later than 2 PM. We're going to check out breakfast on our July trip.
Great food, lovely staff and owners, best wi-fi in town. I try to eat there weekly. Best box lunches in town for a park trip. Best doughnuts in town too!
Absolutely no vegan options. Asked to just have hash browns and veggies mixed together and they wouldn't even do that. >> Reply to the comment from the owner... You have me confused with someone else... I watched the clerk ask the cook and she came back to me and said no.. then my boyfriend continued to order his coffee, then we left.
Thank you Ernie's for a wonderful experience! We had to solve a big problem, and your place was a haven for us while we figured it out! Good food, good coffee, pleasant atmosphere, and good wifi!
Excellent place to stop for lunch near the West Yellowstone entrance. Very clean, great food, and you can order a packed lunch to eat later in the park. Highly recommended.
Exceptional food and service.
Great food and service! Fun little place for breakfast. Try the espresso!
Earnie's used to be the best sandwich shop in West, hands down. However, the new owners (2016) have changed the sandwich ingredients just enough in a way that downgrades them. Still good, just not as good as they used to be.
Loved Ernie's! Gluten free bread and options available. We had breakfast there twice and both times we ordered to go sandwiches for picnics in Yellowstone. Service was good, food excellent and great coffee.
Terrible gravy!
Excellent breakfast sandwiches and pastries. Cozy atmosphere and friendly staff.
Best idea out here!!! Amazing breakfast & awesome pastries!! Great sandwiches. You get the option of "for here" or "to go" they cook it fresh daily!! Love it here & highly recommend!
One of my favorite sandwich stops
Great food. Service was polite and timely. The food is a great deal for the price and was very satisfying.
Amazing food
Stopped in and got their lunch box to take in Yellowstone Park for a pick nick.
oh man. the coffee was AWFUL, latte no foam. the rueben was ok, but the bread was like an inch thick and the meat was barely normal in the amount of it. Save your money, go somewhere else. Prices were high too. Just proves you can't tell a book by the cover. Oh and the seating is horrendous. Inside was hot, outside was picnic tables that were like 8 inches off the ground for the seating.
Large breakfast, and their lunchbox is a great deal. Their coffee is hot! I recommend this place
Took over 30 minutes to make 2 Togo sandwiches. I was the only one in line.
Once I walk into this place I knew there'd be trouble. I was in love. A dark gentleman with a short goatee with a foreign accent asked me if I needed help. It sparked memories of the future where I had left satisfied and wanting more. The variety on the menu was perfect. And the French specialities added an asterisk to the explorers of the past. Thoughts from the past- where did I come from? How am I here? What will the future bring? Before me is a man who will answer all these questions: "You can definitely have more than one kind of cheese...if you want." We took it to go. Three box lunches, a BLT, and a French sandwich. Sandwich fixings, condiments, and treats on the side were provided as if our mother's had packed the meal with care. The mobility only added to our Yellowstone experience.
The food was good . But we seen a rat and the cook tried to grab it before I could get a picture and vomited in the parking lot this place needs to shut down asap
Best Deli Sandwiches in West Yellowstone! A must for every traveler.
My wife and I had Ernie's prepare box lunches for us to take into the park . They were perfect for the occasion and much better tasting than the "on the go" options around the park. The lunch box includes a fresh sandwich, chips, a cookie and soda along with condiments and napkins and such... they have this process down well. We are planning to use them again tomorrow and enjoy lunch somewhere in the park !
Delicious cold and hot foods. Prices are very reasonable. Would definitely recommend.
Generous portions. My sandwich had the pesto bread which was amazing!!
Nice service and good meal for the money
Omelete was not amazing. Coffee was ok and lunch sandwich could have been better (bread is very basic).
Promotes breakfast until 11am. Then when you go in 5-10 minutes before 11, they won’t serve you. Thumbs up.
I didnt visit this place. I was getting pulled over lol speeding ticket cost me 95$
Really cute and clean place with a surprising amount of options. Good value and friendly service. The Blackbear sandwich was insanely delicious! Wish we could come back regularly, but sadly we were just passing through.
We have been in town all week snowmobiling. We have tried many of the local restaurants and Ernie’s is by far the best food in town! Fresh, hot and half the price! They even make lunch or breakfast to take on the trail. Great food!!
We like this place and we’ll be back, but I have a suggestion. I ordered a bagel with cream cheese and lox. Not enough cream cheese and too much smoked salmon. Only one side (the bottom half) of the bagel had cream cheese and it was thinly spread. I couldn’t believe the other (top half) side of the bagel was completely dry. The smoked salmon was piled on way too high. Consider serving about half that amount—such a rich food. Thank you!
Small portions for the high prices - they want eight dollars for a grilled cheese sandwich. Some of the food in our order arrive 20 minutes before the rest of it. Half of our party was already done. When I asked how it was coming, the cashier joked about spitting in my food. The cashier and the cooks in the back seem to think it was humorous. Also, make sure to read the owner's aggressive responses to people's negative reviews before coming here. A very negative experience – don't go here!
Hands down the best place to eat in town. Baked goods, delicious breakfast and best sandwiches not only in town but overall. I would give it 5+ stars if I could. This place is a must stop. Great food, great service.
