I love this place. This place is defiantly a place to go if you have any saltwater needs. They will order or help you with anything. They are very knowledgeable and love helping you. The staff there are helpful and kind. I do want to mention though, they still have ich problems in their freshwater tanks. I wont buy fish there because of that but it's a neat place to just look around. I wouldn't recommend buying fish from here though.

One name Zach! This guy lives and breaths this stuff,he thinks outside the box, and is someone who takes your interests very personally. Who on earth is open until 10pm, except for a guy you want to go see, who shares the same interests, and will bend over backwards to help you. This is the local fish store you want to support!!! It might take a Carmel macchiato every once in a while, but who knows it might get you 10% off in the process!!!

I use to love this place, I would go in all the time for cool corals and just to be able to learn things from the staff but 1 terrible experience can ruin the bunch. I was ripped off a good chunk of money and then when I went to question the owner about how much I paid he said he knew What he was doing. I was charged for product I did not get it and with as much repor as I Had built prior to this experience you think they would’ve at least helped me out and check to see if they have possibly gotten it wrong instead I have to write a nasty review and then get beaten up publicly for it. And then was preceded by getting blocked so my review isn’t even on their Facebook anymore. Those of you that disagree with this review and what I said before that’s fine but everybody should know a good business from a bad one. The community may Have their issues against me for telling the truth about what happened but you know what? If it happened to anybody else they would be in the same position I’m in and probably Would not be writing any nice reviews anytime soon

Not only do they have a great selection of fish, coral, and supplies, they have an amazing knowledge base to help you get started in any choice of tank you want. The lady and gentleman that work here have always been very helpful and friendly towards my wife and I. We stop by every other week to pick up salt water. DI/RO water about once a month. Some of our first purchases for our first reef aquarium were purchased here, from the $5 frag tank. They are thriving in their new home. Since that beginning we have returned to purchase hammer, torch and zoanthid corals. As well as snails and hermit crabs. Open 7 days a week. It is a fresh water and saltwater shop and the staff seems knowledable about both.

I've never been blatantly ignored in a store before. I waited 30 minutes and was never even acknowledged, there was only one other customer there, is it too much to ask for a "Sorry, I'll be with you in a few minutes". Worst customer service I've experienced in a long time. They just lost out on my business.

While I am not proficient in saltwater aquarium keeping and therefore cannot comment on the state of their saltwater tanks, I can say with confidence that the state of Aquatic Supply's freshwater fish tanks is downright abhorrent, disgusting, and pathetic. Every time that I have been in there, not only is there a disturbing number of fish that are dead and rotting in the tanks, but there are many fish that are visibly sick and dying. There appears to be a consistent problem with ich in their tanks, probably due to the stress put on the fish by overcrowding and not providing a proper setup (i.e. keeping the tanks completely bare with no hides, etc.). As if this is not bad enough, when I addressed several of these issues with the gentleman working there, he acknowledged the problem but seemed completely disinterested in actually taking steps to resolve the issue. One of the perhaps most disturbing things to me was the fact that the store was knowingly keeping what they believed to be a male betta fish in a tank with numerous females, thus allowing them to be completely ripped apart and overly stressed. This all leads to a quite frankly disappointing experience, as I am entirely unwilling to support a LFS that obviously has no idea what they're doing. I recommend checking out Fish Aquariums and Stuff a few miles down the road -- their staff at least seems to care about the fish and their wellbeing rather than allowing excessive suffering to take place as Aquatic Supply does.

I have visited this place several times along with another local shop. I have been far more impressed and pleased with the customer service at Aquatic Supply, The tanks were clean, a great assortment of corals, mushrooms and fish. Their live rock is also the least expensive in town and have a great variety. They also have more expensive, but exotic live rock as well. I am new to the reef hobby and was impressed how they have spent a great deal of their time talking and giving me advice. I will definitely return and this will be my first stop for any further needs with my tank.

My girls, husband, and I loved their porcupine puffer. I think his name is Diddles, super adorable. There selection of Salt Water fish makes it very tempting to try and go salted tank. And they are the first pet store that I’ve ever been to that carries discus (so awesome). And their employee were great at answering all our questions. I look forward to the next time I’m in Boise.

Four stars for being friendly and helpful, and they have some good deals for those of us that know what we need for our hobby. Only drawback is lack of fish stock. What they do have is mostly saltwater. A good go-to place for accessories and pricing is good too.

These guys go above and beyond sales... They're one of the most knowledgeable aquatic stores we've been to across multiple states. Drove 2.5 hours and found the spot, and will definitely make the drive again.
