So much aloha here! Poke was freshly caught the morning we visited. Fish and chips are a must try. Staff very friendly and helpful. Don't leave without buying a bag of the Donkey balls. They are delicious!! Girdelli chocolate lovers will want to grab 2 bags to go!

Small casual place with a small seating area out back. You order at the counter and take a seat wherever you like. We split the large order of fish and chips which was plenty for the two of us. It was a panko breading vs beer batter so it wasn't greasy (win). The homemade tartar sauce was delicious too. Recommend if you are in the area!

This place EXPLOITS animals by keeping them caged, when they are fully capable of being free. Would have given this place 5 stars until I found out that the cockatoo they are keeping caged, and (cockatoos flourish in the wild in tropical areas) is PURPOSELY having its wings clipped so they can keep it caged to "entertain" customers. This poor bird was starved for attention, and couldn't get enough, as NO one gave it any attention beyond us. Can you spell E-X-P-L-O-I-T!!!!!! Shame on this company. The cat was great, as it was free to go where it liked. This is the 21st century....stop keeping birds captive, and let them be FREE!!!

Have always wanted to eat at Keoki's, however, my first visit for fish and chips turned out to be very disappointing. As a born and bred English woman, these came nowhere close to what I would call fish and chips. There was more breading than fish unfortunately. The owner and staff were lovely tho.

If you are reading this review. Do yourself a favor and stop by. The feel of this place is beyond amazing, a true island experiance, take a look at the posted pictures. Mona, the chef takes pride in her cooking and she should. The fish and chips are great ( best fish and chips on the island 3 years in a row) and their cheese burger is also so fresh and amazing. Their coleslaw is a must try, it has pineapple in it so a bit of a different taste. Stop by and you will not regret it.

The ono doesn't just mean ono, it's wahoo(ono)! And it's ono (tasty)! Other fish and chips places use whatever the catch is, Keoki's uses ono for it's fish. I think it's breaded with panko, but it always tastes great and crispy. We get 1.5 portion for 2, or double that for the 4 traveling this time. Remembered it was good, and totally lived up to expectations. Laid-back, friendly, smiling. Will stop again.

Fish tasted like it was frozen then fried, no flavor what so ever. I was very disappointed as this place came highly recommend. We got the 1.5 and it did come with quite a bit of food, very friendly staff too. But the food tasted like it was all frozen - fried, and if I wanted that I could have done that at home. I was hoping for some fresh caught Hawaiian fish and chips. The tarter sauce was pretty good though... best tasting thing we got.

Was pretty solid. Great service. A bit pricey for what it is. A meal in a hot warehouse. Not to totally knock the Food. Fish was good/Ono no pun intended. Fries was fries. Veggie burger had a great bun! Salad had nice cucumbers. Just didn't fix my cravings for the money's. Don't mind spending on decent food just seems like a lost place in a 3rd world. Warehouse with random things around for sale and an Ice cream/coffee stand inside it all. Like I said, don't let me stop you. Just my opinion. Not sold for a second visit.

Yep, an easy 5-star review to write!! We absolutely LOVE Keoki's. First and foremost, we think the owner is the bee's knees. Embarrassingly, we don't even know her name but speak to her every time we go in. She's friendly, works hard and takes great pride in her business. They use fresh ono and while everyone loves the fish & chips, I think there's a bigger star at Keoki's and that's the baked ono tacos!!! AMAZING! They slow bake the ono with spices and veggies such as carrots, onions, potatoes, etc. You can choose the type of shell you want and they top it with shredded cheese, lettuce and a slightly spicy sauce. They are hands down my favorite fish tacos on the island! Our only tiny gripe is that we'd love to have a beer with our yummy food ;) It's an unpretentious place that's great for casual meals, kid-friendly and our favorite- stopping by on our way home from hiking down south. GO, just go :)

We waited 1h10 for one burger and one pizza.. The dough was way too thick with no tomato sauce and barely any topping. We felt like we were only eating pizza dough. The burger was over cooked and disgusting.

This is our new favorite place to eat and for treats like ice cream and cheesecake! The seating is outdoors, shaded with garden accents, just perfect! We've been looking for a place with outdoor dining here in Hawaii! We certainly didn't come to the island to stay indoors.

Fish and chips are awesome. Get a single for one person or the 1.5 order for two people. Plenty of fries with this so definitely enough for 2 people. Was about $21. Worth it. The little orange wedges served with the fish and chips are actually called cocktail limes and taste like lemon. squeeze them on the fish for a little zest!

Nice local place. We ordered two 1and1/2 fish and chips entrees and a taco special with ono fish. Unfortunately the fried fish were all kinda dry. We’ve been having ono around the island and have gotten used to some local cooking this week. Maybe it was just this visit but the reviews of 5 Stars was not what we experienced food wise, otherwise the venue was neat and clean, and the service fast and friendly.

Best fish 'n chips I've ever had. Me and my companion brought in a butter avocado we got at an unattended market stand on the way, great accompaniment to the meal. Great lush backyard seating with parrots in cages. They were really pushing the donkey balls.

Found this place by accident driving back from our snorkel trip at Captain Cook’s. My husband loves Ono and wanted a fish taco! So we stopped and ordered the 1 1/2 size fish & chips (which was plenty for 2 People) a fish taco and the kids wanted a cheeseburger. We got our food to go because we were covered with salt and super exhausted after our morning adventure. We wanted to eat at our condo and it was a 20 min drive back and everything was still fresh and delicious. The fish & chips was amazing! My husband loved the fish taco and the kids said the cheeseburgers were good! Happy Family and a great little funky place to stop and take in Captain Cook’s town.

This place was amazing! The Ono fish and chips were delicious, the service was awesome, and the atmosphere outstanding. We ate out on the back patio at about 7 pm listening to the frogs sing as the sun set. It was absolutely magical! We will definitely be coming back the next time we're in Kona. I highly recommend!

We were driving down the highway after snorkeling and saw this cute little restaurant on the side of the road. A quick check of Google reviews, and we decided it would be a good place to try. I am glad we did! It was nothing fancy, nothing gourmet just friendly staff, cute atmosphere and good food. The food came out fast and it was hot and fresh.

Ahi tacos are tasty, have them topped with a pineapple salsa or tomato & onion... both are really good.

I actually have not eaten here, though a number of friends have and the reports are generally not favorable. I did walk in, however, and spend ten minutes standing at the vacant hostess counter in the unbusy shop before deciding the quite steep prices didn't warrant the wait.

Great fish and chips. The fish is thin fillets with a light crispy coating, accompanied by skinny crispy fries. Nice relaxing outdoor seating area out back. Very relaxing. Try the fresh Roll Ice Cream out front. The handmade process yields a masterpiece. I tried the lilikoi bar and banana combo. It was delicious!

Fish and chips were very good and fresh tasting. The wait was quite long as they were very busy and understaffed it took about 50 minutes for our food to come out. Very laid back and enjoyable place plus they have some friendly birds outside near the tables including the feathered friend in the attached picture who wouldn't stop saying "hello" until you acknowledged it!

The new additions and range of offerings are perfect for this gem of a place. Family run and full of Aloha. It is kinda amazing how everything just works at this coffee/ice cream/boutique/restaurant. Casual atmosphere with live music in the back patio. The baked Ono taco is my favorite, but the fish and chips with housemade tartar is a close second. If just driving by, stop. Get a remarkable local coffee and a lillikoi bar and maybe some chocolate covered coffee beans or macadamia nuts (known as donkey balls@).

The fish platter for 2 is absolutely delicious!! The fish is battered with perfection. The oil they use is so clean the fish, onion rings and fries are cooked perfectly. I plan on returning before our vacation is over. Keep up the great food and service.

This place looked fun and offers a good variety of shopping and eating options. My fish tacos were great but the wife's burger was extremely rare, borderline raw. We asked for it to be cooked a bit more (acted like it was a preference of hers instead of being rude about it) the cook noticed and was happy to fit it but the lady running the register gave a bit of attitude. In the end they apologize and cooked the burger. They didn't offer any discount and left the burger on the ticket, all was fine but a final ackward moment when she went out of her way to show me where I could add a tip before I had signed the CC bill. Zero tip was left! Super J's down the road to the south proved to be a better option for us next night

My gf and I split the 1.5 Ono Fish n Chips as the menu says it's enough for 2 people. I would say it's enough for 1 healthy toddler. Definitely not worth the $23 for mediocre (albeit fresh tasting) fish pieces and frozen french fries. I have no idea how this place has won Best Fish n Chips 4 years in a row. The best part of this meal is the delicious sauce from a plastic cup they serve it in. The second star is because of the tiny, energentic, wonderful employee who seemed genuinely happy and nice. Get rid of all the single use plastic!

Kinda pricey for what you get. Rhe single is like 5 fish sticks and fries for $15.00 ..dont we catch fish here? Drink prices are outrageous currently $4.00 for a can of tea or like $1.75 for 1 can of aloha. Fish is kinda like fish sticks you can buy at KTA...the fish doesn't taste very fresh. Tourist trap for sure. Staff is friendly and nice...tho. sorry but you guys need to lower da prices and get fresh fish.

The fish and chips is out of this world. Got lucky to experience a wonderful wahoo, lightly battered in panko, moist and flaky on the inside. The (I presume) owner was truly amazing and super friendly. We got served and seated as the restaurant was closing. She was even thoughtful to ask if the kids wanted soft serve before turning the machine off. It's a bit off the beaten path, but worth the miles and the trip!

Beautiful Hawaiian backyard feel. Friendly staff. Ordered fish and chips which were good, but nothing especially different. The fish was breaded. The taco was the highlight food, flavorful and the veggies were a good addition. Also ordered the pineapple, BBQ, burger and we added cheese. But I think the cheese is American cheese. Sweet potato fries were delicious.

My friend had the deep fried Ono taco that she gleefully described as "Ono delicious." Nothing special about their burger. I hope my map update fixed the location but if not keep going south a bit.

Absolute best Ono fish and chips on the island. We've tried several restaurants too. Keokis offers a lightly fried panko crusted Ono with crispy shoestring fries (admitted, could improve the fries). Perfectly fried, not too greasy or too much breading. Quaint tropical location with outdoor seating (picture a house converted to a restaurant with a store and gallery). Fresh sandwiches are good too.

I have been trying fish and chips on both the big island and Maui. These were by far the best. Cut small so they cooked quickly and not over cooked. The fish was fresh and thankfully not over cooked. Don't drive past this place!!!

Easily some of the best 'Fish and Chips' I've ever had. Perfectly fried fish paired with some firm fries. It has a nice atmosphere with very little in terms of distractions and people, at least from the time I visited. It is a bit of an odd turn into the place, but it's not bad at all. Be aware, the prices are a bit on the higher side, but for the amount of food you get and the quality, it's well worth it in my honest opinion. They also have a homemade tartar sauce, and it shows. It's pretty thick and extremely delicious, and as you guessed, pairs well with the Fish and Chips. They also provide vinegar in case you needed or wanted some. Drinks are separate but they provide free water in the area you eat in. All in all, great stop for lunch with great food.

This place was recommended to us by our ok- island vrbo host. The dining is al fresco. You order at the counter and they will bring it to you. The hostess was wonderful - very patient while we all decided what to get, offered something just right for the 5 yr old, and made sure we understood exactly what we would receive as we each placed our orders. The good was good, plentiful, and the setting was fun. Her store had so many unique treasures it kept us occupied while we waited for our food and lured as back for further looks after we were finished. This is not just a food stop, but an interesting place to treasure hunt.

Tasty but a little overpriced for what you get in my opinion. I'm used to British seaside fish and chips and prefer it but my wife liked this a little more because it wasn't as oily so each to their own. Staff were nice and service was good. I almost walked out without paying because they take payment after providing the food - luckily I remembered and quickly turned back to pay!

Went here to have a little afternoon snack we just caught the 1 1/2 and split it between two adults and two kids. It was a right amount of food. The kids had a great time finding geckos on the garden patio. Free Wifi as well

Quaint little location. Food was good. I appreciate that they were willing to make my fish different than the menu to avoid the breading. There is a little ice cream shop attached owned by the owners son and it is AWESOME!! Who knew... coconut cream rolled ice cream! So delicious!

Amazingly great Ono "Wahoo" fish and chips. The quality of the fresh caught local fish was just incredible. The fry was not to greazy and really enjoyable to eat. Very meaty fish that you could tell was top quality. Lady working the counter was a really nice and jokeative. This was a quick pull over stop because we were hungry and couldn't find a place to eat, but really glad we did.
