REVIEWS OF Humble Market Kitchin IN Hawaii

I know ordering a cheeseburger at a farm in Maui seems slightly out of place. But our server wasn't wrong. The burger is legit. Kids loved the grounds. The tour and demos are amazing. Great priced fresh produce as well.

Michael Franz

Great views good atmosphere, food is 50/50. High reviews for high prices. Better food at the local food truck 100 yards down the road.Do not get the Hekka Chicken. We had 7 items on the menu. 6 I wouldn't suggest, 1 I refused to eat, you can guess which 1. This is a James Beard Award winner, serving textural terrible meals, at $70/plate. I only give it 2 stars bc of the view. My suggestion would be to fire the local staff and start over.

Matt Lacny

Best dining experience that we had on the island and it was located at our hotel. Must go here for dinner. Wish we ate more than one meal here. We sat at the bar and Jacob was fantastic at his recommendations, whether it was food or drinks. He made our last night the highlight of our trip for dining! Highly recommend coming here early on your trip!

Lisa Pleski

Excellent Happy Hour! Relaxed comfortable seating with delicious appetizers and drinks!!

After meeting a couple at the Luau they recommended going to the Humble Market Kitchin for dessert. When we arrived it was not super busy and we told the hostess that we were looking for a table for three just for dessert and drinks. She seemed confused by our request and said she had to check with her manager to make sure they were serving dessert (it was 8:30 on a Monday - I don't see why they wouldn't be). After about five minutes she comes back and says she has to check if there was a server available to take care of us, once again there were plenty of tables open. She comes back for the third time and says she's able to seat us but everyone is super busy and they can't guarantee we would be served in the next 15 - 20 minutes. Baffled by our service so far we decide this is not a place we want to support and go sit outside while we discuss a new plan. Within the first couple minutes of sitting outside we saw three different groups be taken to a table right away. Very disappointed with the way we were treated.

The BEST staff. Food AMAZING

We had dinner here. We were seated at a table where all of the glassware was heavily water-spotted, and the glassware and flatware both had greasy finger/smudge marks (on the flatware, the marks were on the parts that enter your mouth, in addition to the handles) = unappetizing and gross. The hostess was wonderful and changed everything out, but it was not a good start. We ordered the poke and they forgot to put the avocado in it. The wedge salad, cowboy steak, and chocolate lava cake were awesome! Our server was wonderful and really turned our bad initial experience into a wonderful evening, but the level of detail in both cleanliness and food presentation was not right for a “fine dining” restaurant. It was a Monday, so maybe it was an off night? I’d try it again because the food was SO yummy, but there are so many delicious options in Wailea, so...

Yorker Howson

Our selection included the Roasted Beet Salad, Vegetable Roll, Salmon Roll, Brussel Sprouts, Tofu Stir Fry, Nori Crusted Fish of the Day, the Chocolate Soufflé, and 2 Malibu Brewery IPAs. Complimentary Edamame was presented to us as we waited. Everything arrived very quickly and appetizers were properly spaced with our main course.

Jorge Antunes

We went to this restaurant for a late dinner on a Friday night. You definitely need reservations because it is very busy here. The service was very good but slow. It's probably because the restaurant is so busy. The food was good. I had the Ramen noodles and found that the sesame broth was a little overpowering for the dish. They did have many other selections, but it was difficult to get Gluten Free options.

Toni Kowalski

The food is delish the service terrific will definitely visit again

zoeluvschicken

The food & service was excellent! Cameron the GM was exceptionally awesome. There were 18 of us & we had the private room. The whole staff who took care of us were all wonderful! They were so happy to serve local people like us. They made us feel so special. We will definitely recommend to all our friends & families! Aloha & Mahalo!

Returnees disappointed this time around. We had last minute Valentine's day plans and decided to do dinner here again. We made the rez thru OpenTable and listed our dietary needs. We arrived and were lead back to a sparsely furnished room with an attempt to "decorate" using, what looked like, leftovers from a wedding reception. We were given a vegetarian menu, my partner is a vegan and I generally stick to a vegan diet when we're out just to make it easier. The staff is ill-prepared to answer questions about this "special vegetarian menu." It's unfortunate that the Chef couldn't be more creative in veganizing the non-vegan items. There were only 2 entrees to choose from and only one was actually vegan as is. The non-vegan, but vegetarian item, was a pasta. In most cases, a plain spaghetti noodle can be made with no eggs. Or at least offer an alternative like spiraled zucchini noodles. Or just even julienned zucchinis would be great with the veggie pasta sauce. We get that it was Valentine's day and perhaps it was busier than normal and maybe wait staff wasn't as experienced but why provide a mediocre and half-@$$ed attempt at decorating the banquet room for over flow? Why not just not overbook or if you do, don't make it look like a prom night gone bad. Perhaps just a couple tables with a table cloth and some nice floral arrangements on them. People pay good money for a dining experience in the restaurant, to be shuffled to the back banquet room just doesn't cut it. I should note that although the staff was not as educated as they should be on the menu, they were very polite and professional, and the food that we ordered was tasty. But again, the food would have tasted "fantastic" had the overall dining experience been better.

James Elwell

Noisy. Sashimi is world class. Everything else is average

Rhiannon O'Brien

Delicious food and great service!

April Karr

Good cocktails but food is fattening as hell! Still good though

D. Roe

Spend a little more and get better food and selection at the four seasons down the road. Hotter food fresher and made to order. Not a Roy's I would recommend to any friends who visit the island.

Lisa Ann Tomita

Delicious food and an awesome staff.

Scott Harbin

Food is good, no doubt. Service is okay; friendly but kind of slow for how few people were there. Prices are terrible. I know it's resort pricing, but this is just kinda rediculous. $18 for breakfast entree (kinda pricey with no sides), +$5 for some toast, and +$5 for a regular coffee. Coffee. Hint, go spend $3 for a big coffee at Starbucks around the corner and bring it in with you. The grocery store just up the drive (3-5min walk) actually has a great breakfast for 1/2 the price (little indoor cafe inside). I'll probably do that next time.

David Zuber

Great service(kierstan is the best) and good food. I recommend the dumpling sampler.

Ralph Kingsford

Friendly staff and tasty food

Lakieta Edwards

The appetizers were delicious. The ribs, chicken & Brussels sprouts are a good combo. The calamari is tasty also. I enjoyed the location on the grounds of the resort.

Alex Benjamin

Phenomenal and interesting menu. Very high quality food, service good too. Highly recommend

Shweta Turakhia

Loved this place. There are only 2 vegetarian options but both are awesome. The server ( Anthony) was very friendly. The views from this restaurant are amazing. We went there for breakfast 3 times and dinner 2 times during our stay. Even the waiting area is pretty cool. I wish they would customize their options for vegetarian. But overall a very nice place.

Cielo E Batan Molina

We sat at the bar and had dinner, pupus and drinks. The bartender, Skipper was great. Service was great and food was great too. Beautiful sunset views.

Betsy Palmer

Great happy hour!

Sean Larson

Delicious, fresh seafood. Saw a lot of other dishes going by that I'll need to try next time!

My wife, daughter and I had an absolutely perfect dinner at Humble Market Kitchin tonight, entirely by chance. Staying on the Wailea strip, we were getting somewhat tired of over-hyped and over-priced resort food. But a long day of snorkeling meant we weren’t up for exploring, so we let Google recommend a nearby place that would not have occurred to us otherwise. Thank you, Google. Here’s why I say “perfect,” any why I gave five stars (which I barely ever do, for anything): 1. The hostess greeted us in friendly and truly personable manner, and asked us about our day on the way to our table. Then, when my daughter told her we’d been snorkeling, she engaged us in genuine conversation, to the extent that when she walked away, my daughter remarked on how friendly she was. 2. Our waiter, Mitch, picked up where the waitress left off, finding out about us (where we are from, how our visit has been going, etc) without stalling the meal or seeming contrived—just a nice guy, interacting like a human being, while also giving great menu insights and recommendations. 3. The food was spectacular. Everything. All three of us loved our meals and at every bite, AND ordered desert, which we never do. But we didn’t want the meal to end. 4. Finally, the manager came over to make sure we’d had a good experience. We were happy to tell him just how good. All of that, combined with the location, overlooking the ocean and, tonight, a marvelous sunset, equals the perfect dinner. Highly recommend.

Michelle Vu

One of our favorite dishes was the Mongolian ribs as an appetizer. Highly recommend ordering that. Overall, restaurant is okay. The views during sunset are spectacular, but the service is really slow.

Michael Morishita

Great Ambiance and Staff.I was disappointed with the Short Rib It was not tender and lacked flavor. I am sure that this was not intentional, but for the price of the dish , it should have been perfect.

Luke Donahoe

This food was incredible, mainly because I’m a big sushi guy and I really loved their sushi. My favorite of theirs is the Phoenix roll, highly recommended

Sadako Hoffman

My husband made a reservation for my birthday. Everything was amazing. We got a table on the patio and watched the sunset while eating an amazing meal. Perfect birthday.

Khepri Conlin

Chef Daniel - cuddos to you! My husband & I were at Mama's last night and we agree, this was the best meal hands down! The Ramen is my new favorite dish, the mahjong (?)(market prepared) daily catch-both to die for!

Nadeen Bawab

Initially, after one visit I rated them a 3. I gave them another try, and revised my rating to a 2. Great view, but mediocre food. I ordered the seared scallops and shrimp, which we're sitting on a messy plate of sauce, polenta, and cut up vegetables. I wish the restaurant showcased the fish and protein instead of smothering the same in sauce. On the plus side, the poke duo was a good appetizer. I would order it again without the fried garlic.

Yves Tilliette

we went there for breakfast. the buffet is amazing with all local ingredients. there is lots of choice of local and more common breakfast dishes. the staff is super friendly and the view is gorgeous. I would recommend going. we really love this place, and try to go back every time

Chris Gimbel

Delicious restaurant with nice ocean views and good happy hour.

Robert Amantea

Excellent food and service. Delicious crab and tuna roll. My seafood carbonara was great right up to the last spoonful of cream sauce.

Brian Dainis

The food was great and the people were very nice. It took longer than expected to get our food. I think the wait staff was overloaded and they forgot to ring in our order. However we were in no rush and enjoyed some drinks, one of which was comped. I'd recommend this place.

Alta Murch

Wonderful dinner and fantastic service

Tra Shawn

Beautiful location just off the beach in Wailea with a patio that looks out into the ocean. Seriously, it’s gorgeous. I went for brunch where the menu offers a buffet style (hot or continental) or a la cart options. I had the Maui Breakfast with two sunny side up eggs, white toast, fresh jam, fruit and I ordered a single pancake. I ate everything short of the rind from the orange. So good. I also had a few strawberry Bellini’s. You can tell they weren’t using the cheap champagne because of the taste plus no hangovers later for me :) definitely recommend

Melissa Fink

Breakfast buffet was amazing

T Tov

Nothing to add. Perfect.

grumpscot Corsie

Poor food, and very poorly managed, likely you will realize why because most of the place is empty when you walk in. With so many good restaurants in maui, this should be a place to avoid. Short rib was chewy, wrong entree delivered, desert delivered that we did not order, Red wine chilled...it’s almost as if they have no clue what they are doing!

Aaron Johnson

I've been a fan of chef Roy's for almost two decades... Unfortunately, I think he's still working out the kinks with this concept. It's a good restaurant, though inconsistent. Friendly service, but the food doesn't justify the stratospheric entree prices. There are much better (and lower priced) options in the Wailea neighborhood, like Monkeypod Kitchen. I'd recommend for breakfast over dinner (I tried both).

Angel Hernandez

Ate here for breakfast and dinner, this place knocked it out the park both times. Round of applause to the chef.

Nafaa Mekhilef

Mixed feelings. The service was good and the food choices were adequate. However, we did experience a challenge in the hosting part, not that it was the front desk's fault, but we had complementary breakfast for two and were told we were not at the right place and needed to walk back a long distance to get to the Kapa kiosque. There, we were told that our reservation was the Humble market. So we walked back again to this place. There, we needed to go back to the lobby to get clarification. We were told to wait in the humble market lounge until the front desk clarified it with the restaurant. It was only then, that were were able to get a table. The staff was friendly and prompt. As to the booking part, I think that information being part of an email is not enough. The hotel should provide a voucher that explicitly what the customer is entitled to.

Terry Stange

Service was great, but food was average. Had the Korean Fried Chicken - sort of a piece of fried chicken with some Asian sauce on it. Not very impressive. Calimari was good. Surf and Turf was OK.

Josh Bosh

Delicious food and great views.

Bridget M

A Roy's Restaurant though seemed to be more experience than the normal Roy's menu. Great ambiance, nice views. We had appetizers and drinks at the bar one evening and breakfast another morning. For apps...we had brussels/cauliflower and calamari - both were excellent! Breakfast was very tasty - avacado toast and hubby had gluten free banana cream pancakes that he said a bit too much cream, but good. Not great but a solid "good". My avacado toast was simple, hoped for a different Hawaii twist (like Papaya) but the multigrain sourdough was quite yummy. I added hot sauce. They didn't have hot chili peppers....I asked.

Adam Osman

This is our first time at this restaurant. What a amazing experience, the food was amazing. The service was best you can find, the view was spectacular, and from no where we had the manger Anthony Clerico came out and asked how was our food for my son because of his food allergies. He was so nice so polite the waiters Mitch was amazing. From all 12 of the resturant I ate from in Maui Hawaii this was the best. Thank you and keep up the great job.

Joachim Peuckert

Great food and awesome location, staff is very friendly

Deidra Lashmet

Fish of the day was excellent. Had the scallops and shrimp as well. Service was good. Ambiance is excellent.

Julie Ramos

Amazing food, service and views. Very accommodating. They did a great job explaining the menu, making suggestions and bring out everything thing we ordered. Great spot in Wailea!

Bonnie Poddany

I usually don't write a review but this Roy Yamauchi' signature Fork Tender Braised Short Rib dish is awesome. What a pleasant savory surprise! Trust me, as I am not a meat lover AND need to be Gluen Free! Oh.. one more thing, The Poke at Wailea ahi tuna was the best poke I ever had! Love their food!!!

Rodrigo Botta

Very good, everything taste amazing definitely one of the best in maui

Richard Fair

Asian Fusion in a great location on Maui.

Shahid Khwaja

Good food coupled with fantastic view of the ocean.

Cate Vieregger

The braised short rib is outstanding definitely a must-have! Wine prices are very reasonable for the island as well and the service was great!! Do you save room for the chocolates souffle and or lava cake it's delicious

DrummondWarrior

Very nice place with highly engaging staff

Bruce Jens

We got there early and were offered to be seated early or at or scheduled time. We opted for a drink at the bar first. Bartenders were informative about drinks, wine list, and happy hour bar menu, and were very attentive. Our waiter, Zach, gave excellent suggestions about the dinner options. My wife declared the butterfish the best seafood she's ever had. Sunset views were perfect.

Bernadette Wilkins

Had an amazing dinner here our first night in Maui. Alan, our server, was super friendly and gave us a bunch of recommendations on the menu. We started with the calamari, ribs, and dumplings. The calamari was very crispy and came with a tartar sauce. The dumplings came with different meats (pork, shrimp, crab) and were very delicious.

Robert Emery

Food very tasty. Interesting take on simple foods. The ramen dish was amazing. Different flavors with every bite. Staff very friendly and welcoming.

Jaley

The price is too much for the taste. The Ramen is different from the normal one for it’s bitter and not everyone can accept it. The Szechuan rib is very good

Cameron D.

While at first I was a bit sad that they replaced the previous restaurant, after our first of 3 meals here I was completely hooked. The menu isn't huge but the fish, pasta, and other items were all absolutely delicious! As a guest of the hotel I'd say it's a must visit and even if you're not, this is definitely a worthy place to come and check out.

Celina Marie

I love the open air dining and service was excellent. I was able to get a nice table with no reservations but during the week and before June.

Mindy Brown

Delicious food! Very extensive breakfast buffet! Kids eat free! Totally gluten free restaurant! We had a wonderful experience! 11 of us. Staff was super kind and so helpful. Had a private room for our group to dine!

henry dupont

Amazing food excellent service. Really one of the best restaurants have been to. Way to go!! I will be back many times!!

Toner Girl

The food and the service were exceptional! The brussel sprout and cauliflower and pink snapper with couscous and lobster sauce were phenomenal. The manager bought my husband a glass of champagne to celebrate our 23rd anniversary and Alan, our server, brought us a freshly made chocolate cake with 'Happy Anniversary' on the plate. The views were top notch and the Humble Market Kitchen made our experience with them the best ever . Highly recommend!!

Kathleen Hogarty

Watched the sunset through dirty windows. Food was mediocre and was expensive. I'd rather go to Mama's Fish House for the money.

Bill Banovotz

Great place to eat.

Jenifer A

Located at Wailea Beach Resort, this restaurant offers both convenience and stunning views. The cauliflower appetizer was fabulous! My colleague had the calamari. Both were generous portions. The entrees offered include a mix of land and sea, but no vegetarian options. I asked about getting the ramen dish without the fish, but the server (who was knowledgeable and helpful) advised against it. My colleague ordered the ramen with fish, while I opted for a sea scallop and polenta dish. Other notes: we ate in the lounge area, as no tables were available. The mood is upscale resort - not noisy, but great for conversation. Service and plating were both outstanding, as one might expect at any Roy's establishment.

Tim Mason

Went for restaurant week and the food and service were very good!

Katia Dickenson

We asked for an off-menu breakfast (an island fish) and the restaurant served grilled Opakapaka with the side of vegetables. Great food and amazing service. Thank you!

Amar Singh

Good food!

Jeff Nabity

Absolutely love this place! Their happy hour is solid with a handful or drinks and apps for cheaper. Everything we have had here is great, but favs are: ribs, poke, and brussels/cauliflower for apps - opakapaka, opah, mahimahi, or local fish for main. And pro tip, check in on Yelp for a free chocolate souffle cake! And the view is insane, check the pictures for proof!

Benny Roybal

Very expensive for the food you get. Your employees are very nice but overall it's ok. Had your buffet breakfast and your dinner.

David Rose

Everything was good. With no complaints, I can't dock a star. The ribs were especially good. The carbonara seafood dish with udon noodles was excellent as well. The cowboy steak was probably the one "meh".

Don D

We had a private dining room for our party of six. We had some business/pleasure going on and the room was great. The appetizers Phoenix sushi rolls and short ribs we’re tasty. The seafood special Opah moonfish with risotto was outstanding! The lamb was a hit and the presentation was outstanding! I think we ordered all the desert one better than the other! The service was great and our waiter was a pro in describing each dish. He was a surfer who gave us a run down on the Maui surfing scene. Nice guy!

Kevin Hinton

Great restaurant! The staff is very friendly and helpful and the food is fantastic. It is a bit on the pricey side but you can always come for happy hour between 5 and 6:30 for more reasonably priced drinks and appetizers. Ask Marvin, who I believe is a manager, for his list of things to see and do in Maui, it’s very helpful!

Mike P

Excellent food. Friendly service

John Bordy

Excellent meal with efficient and friendly service (thanks Shane). My wife mentioned her filet was the best she ever had. I had fish in a dashi broth with udon noodles; I neglected to take a picture of that but I must say it was one of the best dishes I've had in a very long time. Steamed dumpling appetizer and the brussel sprout appetizer are highly recommended. The upside down pineapple cake dessert was superb. This restaurant was our favorite in Maui....make sure you tryit.

Deckie G

Amazing food, accompanied by amazing service. I we had the fillet mignon and the short ribs. Amazing taste with great veg and the best mashed potatoes I have had in a long, long time. The views really make this place a romantic, relaxing place to eat. This restaurant should be visited if you are staying at the hotel

Neil McDonald

Great steak

Adam Stevens

Food and service was terrible. Everytime we asked our server for something he just stared at us with a blank look in his face. We were lucky if we got the item asked for 20 minutes later. We also made a reservation weeks in advance asking for a table with a sunset view and outside. Didn’t get that either. Got some table inside with a blocked view of the sunset. Picture is view from the lobby, not the restaurant.

Gino Buzzelli

Food was mediocre but the view was nice.

Hanna Choi

The service was impeccable however, someone of the dishes we ordered were not up to level. My family and I ordered poké yesterday and it was excellent! the tuna was fresh and I loved everything about it. It was so good that we went the next day however, the fish was not fresh and not to mention the portions were too small compared to their pricing. I also ordered other dishes however I did not enjoy them but, everyone’s opinions are different. I would not visit Humble Kitchen again because first of all the food is not that good to be a 60 dollar meal! waste of money in my opinion.

Lacey Horton

The views are amazing and we couldn't get enough of the pancakes and omelette we had. The little scavenger birds were also hilarious and fun to watch.

Larry Bamrick

The best food and service on the island!!

Dawn Powell

Chef Charles out did himself for our meal! Lovely!

Lakima King

Went here for an office holiday party. Most of the items at the Buffet were not vegan. I got five star service, one of the servers over head and had the chef make me a vegan appetizer and main dish. Both of which were delicious. Best holiday party ever.

Michelle Klotz

My husband and I are honeymooning in Maui and this has been one of the best meals on our trip. The food was amazing and the service was unmatched. The manager, Anthony, and our waitress, Tonya(?), were incredible. 10\10 would recommend having dinner here.

D Robertson

For dinner, it's just what you would expect from Roy's. Excellent. For breakfast, we had the buffet and the pastries were really amazing. Next time I want to try the Tonkatsu.

Elizabeth Sepke

Wonderful brunch! Want to eat it every day. Top 2 in my brunch experience. (I’m a basic bruncher). Everything super fresh- visible produce area in the kitchen. Classy. Beautiful restaurant w/ beautiful views. Indoor/ outdoor seating. Good service. High profile diners were here during the holiday time. Try the POG mimosa~ it’s pink and fun!

Tim O.

Cool vibe, but kinda pretentious for a 'humble's kitchen. The food was ok, but some things like the calamari were extremely salty...almost inedibly so. (and I love salty food) Drinks were ok, but different bartenders made them differently. Poke presentation was good though. Overall not worth the price unless you're trapped in the attached hotel. Wouldn't go back personally.

John Noland

The food was really tasty. But like gourmet restaurants the servings weren't really big enough to share. However, in a tip of m'hat to Roy, they realize this and for an up charge they split the main dish and give each person their own sides. Then again, there was the cost. Like I said, it was really tasty, but was it 3 time better than our dinner a week later which was great, and plentiful and simple. Probably not.

Luc Vanhal

Good for breakfast. Nothing special for lunch or dinner

Or Israel

It was our last night in Maui so we decided to spoiled ourselves with a good meal. We looked at the menu and dishes looked really good. We ordered an appetizer, two glasses of wine, and two main courses. Besides the wine- everything in that meal was disappointing. Everything. The waiter showed up 10 seconds (!) after we got the main courses and told us that we better choose desert already, because it might take really long until we will get it. We thought that it’s weird but we didn’t really treat that. Then he disturbed us twice and ask if we decided yet (we didn’t even touch the main course!!!!). The food itself is way expensive then it should be. I ate better food at the hotel’s swimming pool. We didn’t have any problem paying even 500$- as long as it worth it. But not just it didn’t worth it- it ruined our last night in Maui, after we had such a good time in our honeymoon. Great view though

Mark Donohue

Great food and wonderful service

Jacci Regis

Great food, wonderful service. My only complaint was my eggs were under cooked.

Jeff Kao

This is a brand new restaurant by Roy Yamaguchi (of Roy's). It is so new that it is not even shown on Roy's web site. We went on the Road to Hana tour and decided to eat in at the hotel. Dinner was fantastic. Appetizers were great and very tasty. You can definitely feel the Asian influence in the dishes. The available drinks (both alcohol and non-alcohol) were awesome. Overall it was a very good meal.

Teri Young

So love this restaurant! I have never been to a restaurant by Roy Yamaguchi that I didn't love! Best loco moco I've ever eaten! The views don't hurt either!

Angelique Kost

Great food. So much to choose from. Staff was very friendly. The view is amazing. You can enjoy whales jumping while eating breakfast.

DAN DIVIRGILIO

4 1/2 Stars. Food was tasty. We ordered the HMK STYLE SHELLFISH COMBO. $59.00. The restaurant was trendy. Menu items were priced medium high but still fairly reasonable.

Valerie Thompson

For a hotel restaurant it's great. Had the beef short ribs and vegetables; meat was tender but the rest was under seasoned. Pineapple upside down cake was delicious.

Ted R

Fantastic! I normally do not do the buffets, but for brunch, wow. It was great, taste of da islands. I was pleased

mehere jb

Breakfast buffet sucks, I can say the bacon is the atleast the best because it's bacon. And some deserts is good. $30 something dollars for a cheap breakfast. I wish I could give no stars at all. I would rather eat McDonald's breakfast.

Evan Malmud

Great food, bird will go for your plate. Amazing service.

Cv Anagnos

Food is above average. Drinks are great and the view is fantastic!

David Jaroslaw

Beautiful views if you have the right seat, and the staff is friendly. The food is what I might describe as "hotel level." The crispy wings, the dumplings, and the fried calamari, i.e., the nibbles, are pretty good. The ramen is more like a bisque, but it's still tasty. On the downside, the prices are high (and I'm from New York City), and the service can be painfully slow. If you're at the Marriott Beach Resort, it's worth a stop. I don't think I'd make a special trip.

Alexander Minot

Skip it. Took an hour for avocado toast, after their realized my order was somehow originally missed. When we entered the dining room was a mess. Many tables had dirty dishes piled on them and no one was seemingly working to clean up at all. We chose to sit at the bar and it was covered in dirty dishes. The bartender who was also our server was very nice though and seemed to be the only person working in the place who actually cared. Less than desirable experience.

Thomas Hoghaug

Breakfast buffet was included with our room. This is a plus. Need more daily variety or the ability to order off the menu.

Jeff Barney

Only went for breakfast which was good, very large portions. Would have really liked to go for dinner but ran out of time.

L. Rimmele

This review concerns breakfast at the Humble Market Kitchen. I purchased the breakfast buffet without taking a look first and boy was that a mistake. As far as hot food is concerned it was just the basic bacon, eggs, potatoes, sausage so on and so forth. I also asked for an egg cooked sunny side up and the server said that would cost extra! Are you kidding me a 35$ dollar buffet does not even include an egg! Fresh fruits was very disappointing especially for Hawaii! The juices available tasted like water. There was a good assortment of pastries however birds would constantly be swooping in and taking bites of pastry! Not to mention a bulk of them were covered in small fruit flies that would fly off anytime you touched them. The service was okay but we often had to ask for simple things like coffee refills or cream. This place has a lot to fix before I come back here for breakfast.

Joey Chan

Breakfast Buffet We went here for breakfast. Located in the Grand Wailea Beach Resort. Parking is validated here so be sure to bring your ticket. We didn't get a table on the balcony. If you want one best to go at 9 am. Around this time there were several empty tables. We went around 8:20 am. There is a large spread for Brunch. The food was ok I mean how do you mess up breakfast. The pork chops were a little dry. There was no make your own omelette station. For the most part we went here for the view and for the change of breakfast options. My wife order from the menu and she enjoyed her meal. I think you are looking for options and beautiful view this would be a great option. Also a Tip - If you are staying at the Marriott Residence Inn you get 20% off your bill by showing your room card. Did find this out till after.

Vishal Bangera

Hip restaurant with wonderful customer service. They have a choice of both indoor and ocean-view seating. I had the opakapaka and I loved it

Jonathan Hamrick

This was our first time there and they seemed to be exceptionally busy. The food, service, and the atmosphere were all good, but not as good as one would expect from an establishment such as this. Maybe they weren't at their best due to the number of patrons they were serving while we were there. We will visit them again in the near future and will revisit this review if things seem better on another night.

UPDATE... The staff went above and beyond to make our dinner special. The attention to detail was evident from the time we walked in the door. The poke appetizer was delicious with just the right amount of sea salt and the opakapaka was served two ways and both were delicious. Thanks again for understanding my original concerns and delivering in the end.

Breakfast service was garbage. 10 minutes to get a table in a 3/4 empty restaurant. Another 15 minutes to order, then food and drinks came out sporadically.food was decent though. $60 for two for breakfast.

Incredible and amazing. Plus a beautiful sunset every night.

Superb! So good! But quite expensive.

The staff was very accommodating, asked about any food allergies & our preference of seating even though we had no reservations. They had quick serving & EXCELLANT hand made house quality pastas & salads, they even made me a special tea to accomidate me. Our server was very congenial, an all around hard working nice guy.

Staring from colored and fresh cocktails, passing through spicy, tasty and hope-never-ending ceviche, finishing with two entire right out of the sea fish! Everything was extremely delicious, ad hoc for our last night in Maui..

Creative concept with C+ execution. Cuisine was hit or miss with some items like vegetables undercooked, but a satisfactory steak prepared correctly at medium rare. Orzo was over salted but partly neutralized by the red snapper’s lack of flavor. Service wise, I expected better at the price point. Monkey pod was much better all around and at a lower price.

I stayed at the Wailea beach resort (hotel this restaurant is located at). The restaurant billed my room for $150+ while I’ve never been there. This is unprofessional that they allow or can bill a room without proper verification

I was one of a party of 6 that dined here just after new years. The food was very good, but the service and set up were really lacking. We were seated on the patio on a small table that barely fit us all. The two people at the ends had to sit with posts between their legs! The server brought out two different menus by accident so there was confusion as to what dishes were actually on the menu that evening (-evidently they change their menus very often-), an issue that the server didn't quite clear up even by the time we had ordered. The server was polite but in a obvious hurry to push our meal along. When our main dishes arrived, she was no where in site such that we had to hunt down a food runner to get a few additional forks that had been removed with the previous courses. I don't recommend this restaurant unless you like good food and lousy service. For the money they charge, I expected a much more pleasant dining experience.

Best rack of lamb I've ever had.

Incredible food. Incredible view. Beautiful staff

Come prepared to spend some money, but it’s well worth it!

Went there for breakfast, only one person of my group of four was remotely satisfied. Bloody Mary’s were trash, the whole buffet looked unappetizing except the potatoes till I actually took a bite of them and they were not good. Our server was nice and the restaurant its self is nice and has a wonderful view but I was thourouly disappoint with the food and drinks. I’m sure they have some very good items there but everything that I tried while there was far from impressive.

We came here with extreme high expectations. We ordered the signature ramen but it was not good. There is a strong bitterness hidden in the broth and the noodle. We tried so hard to understand the taste and tried to convince ourselves that it’s a fine restaurant but still we didn’t enjoy the noodle. We talked to the server and he talked to the chef and the response we got was it was how it supposed to be tasted like... well.... The restaurant was nice and kind of chaotic at busy hours. The food in general was good, but somehow feels like the chef is overdoing some simple dishes.

Food was out of this world good. The atmosphere was not what I would hope for

Robert Toro

Great people Great place! Thanks for all you did for us for our 43 anniversary thanks

Phenomenal food and service!

Craig Chambers

Pricy, but worth it! Great food, great staff and a great atmosphere with an amazing view! The breakfast buffet is a great way to start the morning, with a huge selection of quality foods!

Nikki Olsen

Good breakfast.

The service is excellent. We were well taken care of by friendly faces. Our server, Anthony, was the best as well! The ambiance is classy but formalwear is not required. You're in Hawaii after all. The food, 10/10! Everything was fresh and well-cooked. The portions are well-sized. We spent a little over $100 for a 3 course meal for 2 after kamaaina discount. At the end of the meal, we were greeted by one of the managers which I think was a nice gesture. This place is highly recommended!

Pretty underwhelming honestly. The cocktail menu was pretty uninspired. I tried Upcountry Love tasted like a watered down Mojito and Magnum PI which was fine but I already forget the taste. Also finished with the Godvia chocolate espresso drink which also didn't taste as rich as it could've. Pork belly starter was good and the starter brussel sprouts were fine. My main was the surf and turf which was a real disappointment. The cut of steak tasted cheap, more like a plain roast beef and the surf was literally just two prawns. I figure a good rating for a meal is when you excel in one of three places, quality, quantity or price and Humble fails all three. On a good note, the chocolate lava dessert was pretty great. Not to say this place is just bad, just really underwhelming for the price.

Daniel Potts

Nice food and cocktails.

Lauren Suarez

Amazing food! I was so full but wanted to keep eating! The views are terrific and the overall ambiance is soothing. Wonderful staff, felt like a princess! Free parking, too!

Sheri Yamauchi

We had a private room for dinner last night since there are 16 of us. The food was fabulous! I had the seared scallops and some of my friend's lamb - so ono! Then had breakfast this morning and loved the French Toast! If you're in the area, I highly recommend this restaurant. The wait staff were friendly and attentive!

Restaurant in the modern Marriott resort, great initial impression of ambience. Very poor service (our server was awful) should have read the other reviews ahead of time which note poor service... Food was terrible - bland/tasteless. Ordered 2 x fish, vegetarian and kids pasta dishes. Manager was professional and refunded 4 out of 5 dishes which were uneaten. Worst meal in Maui. Try the Four Seasons, MonkeyPod or pub in the shopping center instead.

Nadja Bissinger

Loved the avocado toast and the macadamia pancakes! They put some mochi into the gluten free pancakes which makes them really delicious and juicy.

Vulval Blowfish

Phoenix rolls, broccoli and cauliflower, ramen bowls the size of your head, 5 star sunset view.

A treasure created by Roy Yamaguchi, this place is very nice with friendly waiters and delicious menu. It really worth the price because you will have an amazing view of the Wailea beach.

Kelsey Griffith

Some of the best food we have ever had and an AMAZING view. Get there before sunset and you have a perfect view of some of the most beautiful sunsets in the world. Food and service was incredible! Expensive but worth it for a special occasion or vacation splurge.

The food was fantastic - I had the beef and reef roll and the ramen dish, while my wife had one of the two special daily fish meals along with the calamari starter. Our server Haley was delightful as well. She was funny, informative and very good at her job. We were very happy with her. Unfortunately, our meal took more than 2.5 hours from start to finish because of the slowness of the service. The setting was beautiful and our evening was pleasant enough. I enjoy the slower island pace, but 2.5 plus hours was just way too long. Another positive - when my wife asked for the bathroom location, the manager took the time to walk her to the bathroom. Little things like that go a long way. Overall, awesome food, awesome out-front staff - just be prepared for a potentially long night.

Very nice brunch in a nice space. ..stay inside...the birdies will be eyeing your food!
