Great! Go here! Two tips: - it's order and pickup at-the-counter then find a place outside to eat (or take back to your hotel) - there's an obvious table right out back... And one more under the trees near the food truck. That one is OK to use.

It looks like a small fish shack, because it is. If you show up early you’ll see fishermen unloading their catch; the dock is less than a mile away. Very friendly staff. Ask for their recommendations and for recipes.

I won't lie... we were worried. It looked dodgy (run down, scary, not above board) but we were drawn to it like bugs to a light. Once we opened the door we saw how clean and fresh everything looked. Service 10/10, flavour 10/10. Our only complaint is we were only passing through and couldn't return for more. It was our second day in Hawaii and first poke. You have to have the sunshine poke (hope I have the name right). Hubby and I were fighting over who would have the last piece. We travelled 10 days through Big Island, Oahu and Kauai and on reflection we deemed this the BEST dish of our trip. Great job! Can we have the recipe to take home to Australia?

"Caught that day" fresh fish, super friendly staff, great poke and prices. One of our first stops when we hit the big island. They take pride in thier product and are willing to show it off with generous samples. They were out of one of my favorite pokes and said they wouldn't know when they'd make it again bc the ahi wasnt high enough grade for them.... I appreciate that pride in the craft.

This is amazing poke! Place does not look like much from outside but thanks to other reviews we knew we needed to go in. The poke is delicious, our favorite was the sunrise poke, but wasabi pistachio was also great. We had a bento box as well and the lady grilled the fresh fish for us upon the order using the fresh fish they sell there. It was melting in the mouth delicious!

Amazingly fresh tasting poke! I tried the sunset poke and kimchi crab with brown rice. It was perfect. Great price too only $13 for a giant bowl which you could almost save half for left overs.

Great place to pickup some poke to take home and eat... although they will make up a bowl for you there too if you want. It is not a restuarant. Space inside for ordering is very small. The tuna poke was the largest I have ever seen! 2" square for some pieces. Price is good but not the cheapest we have found so far on Da Big Island.

My family went on a poke eating marathon along the Kona coast this week and this was our favorite, poke was very fresh and tasty. Good portions for the price and the terrific service made it a memorable experience. Only drawback is that there is no good seating option there since they are a fish market not a restaurant but Hapuna beach is close by if you can wait that long to eat your food.

Without a doubt, this is the place to buy the freshest fish on the Kohala Coast. The shop looks like a little shack, but when you enter you see a variety of freshly caught fish in refrigerated cases, along with prepared poke and (sometimes) smoked ahi or ono. Often, you'll see local fishermen bringing in their catch. There's also a food truck outside that offers delicious selections at reasonable prices, although I believe they use frozen fish (from the store). If it's available, try uku (grey snapper). In my opinion, it's more "ono" than ono.

Truly a hole in the wall but it has the best fish ever. Poke nachos to dye for, they even fry the chips on the spot! We had poke nachos and bento box with mayo crab, shoyu poke and grilled mahi mahi.

Amazing place, service is great, fish is perfect. We went twice and both times it was delish. Fish was perfectly cooked and the ingredients were fresh. Pro tip, go into the "fish house" nearby and get some really good poke and fresh crab meat, goes good with the rice or other sides that she gives with your meal. Fish tacos were excellent and so was the fish sandwich. For sides get rice if you decide to go buy the poke nearby, or get fries an macaroni salad, this place can't be beat on the island.

Swordfish and Mahi-mahi were exceptionally fresh. Coleslaw was tangy with a spicy bite. Even the chocolate malt was awesome. You won't find tablecloths and stemware here. Just great food.

When I walked in, the staff were very friendly and the owner gave me 5 poke samples to try. All were amazing. I bought the sunshine poke, the wasabi macadamia nut and spicy ahi poke. Probably the best poke I've ever had. No stringy tendons like some poke - just tender deliciousness.
