This is my second time at a TooJay’s, and once again I’ve left satisfied and pleased (except that I was too full after my meal to try one of their tasty looking desserts). Lots of traditional Jewish cuisine, but it’s not all latkes and knish so if you’re looking for a good burger, salad, or other typical American fair you’ll have plenty to choose from. Great kids meal options too. I expect to be back regularly.

It boggles my mind that this place never has people waiting in line to be seated like some other upscale restaurants (Olive Garden, Cheesecake Factory). It has great tasting food, great quality and substance to all items. Servers are pleasant, not rushing and running around, and come back frequently to check if you need something. Atmosphere is good, noise is low, bathrooms are clean. Couldn't ask for more.

My wife and I have been several times during the day at various points during the week. Staff is always friendly, service was good and the food as always was great. It’s somewhat hard to find, we’ve had lunch with friends and they had a hard time locating it not being from the area. Aside from having to be careful going in and out because of the crazy parking we highly recommend!

Too Jays Deli, no matter what location, is always a treat for me as a native New Yorker. Although not quite a NY Deli, the food here is always of a superior quality. The sandwiches have an abundance of meat on them, the stuffed cabbage is fantastic and the potato latkes (pancakes) are very tasty. There really isn't anything you can go wrong with here. Enjoy!

Nobody makes better hot sandwiches in Dr. Phillips neighborhood than Toojay's. I ordered a Rachael - which is like a Reuben. Hot Pastrami, sauerkraut, and Russian dressing on thickly sliced rye bread slices. YUM! I have often ordered their matzo ball soup when I have a cold. Their black and white cookies are also delicious. Takeout is usually quick and efficient, especially if you order in advance.

Been here plenty of times. There is plenty of competition on Restaurant Row and this restaurant is losing it's charm and character. Sandwiches is the way to go for most Toojays and The soups are usually good as well. But when you order an entree you over pay for a sub-par quality. This particular experience the server was very stoic, And not very talkative. Daughter ordered the kids hamburger, which was dry. Ordered two soups which were good. Wife had the Chicken Capri which was ok, simply drowned in some white glaze. This dish should be listed at $13 not $17. On again was just ok. I ordered the Pastrami Burger which was juicy, but lacked simple salt seasoning, and the fries were ok as well. On an unusual side note we ordered club soda (soda water) , and there was this taste of mold. Not sure if this was from the ice or the soda water line. I do not think we will returning. Unless im really craving a Ruben.

I had the pastrami burger it was cooked great just how I asked but the flavor however was nowhere to be found. For being the pastrami burger I was expecting more than just 2 small slices of pastrami. On the menu it says the burger has some of the spices they put on the pastrami but my burger definitely didn't it was pretty bland there was just not a lot of flavor going on even just some salt and pepper would have helped. Staff seemed very nice. But for about $14 or so I would have expected more pastrami and flavor. Fries were 50/50. Hope your burger is better than mine enjoy.

Always busy because the food is plentiful and good. I love their egg salad sandwich on their specialty bread but so many great breakfast and lunch choices and if you can’t decide just buy from the deli to bring home. Watch out for the fresh pastries addictive!

My co-worker wanted a good Reuben sandwich and I looked up New York delicatessen and this came up on Google Guides as a good place to eat. We were not disappointed. The Rachels' (a Reuben with both pastrami and corned beef) were huge and flavorful. The steak fries fresh, hot. We got some fresh cookies to go from their bakery. Their cakes look amazing, but we were way too full. The only knock was service was slow. I think they just were confused on who had what table. Once they got it figured out everything was fine. Manager came over to speak with us. Very nice. Not too far off Sand Lake and Dr Phillips.

This is by far my favorite location so far. I have only been a couple times but I love everything we have tried. I had the turkey dinner this last time and it was huge. I took almost half home. The Shepard's pie is excellent too. My whole reason for seeking them out in the first place was the corned beef. Hard to find good deli food here in Florida but this makes the cut. Having a sandwich with cole slaw in it was fantastic. If you just want dessert they have some great choices. My personal favorite was the chocolate cake but they have wonderful choices for both dine in and carry out. This one is definitely worth a trip.

I had a very bad experience the last time I came here 6 months ago, and decided never to come back. With all the other breakfast places in the area with wait times upwards of 20-40 minutes. I said “let’s give it another shot” I had a minor issue and Sean Smith and Magdy Eldebegy took good care of me to more than my expectations. I will be making this my first choice from now on.

Oh my goodness!! This place is amazing! Fresh bread and pastries made daily. Absolutely delicious and fresh! I ordered the turkey avocado sandwich on rye (add bacon). They forgot the bacon and charged me for it. I called in to tell them that they forgot the bacon and Erica, the manager, wanted to do everything in her power to make it right. I also ordered several cookies for the family. They were incredible!! We were informed that they just came out of the oven. YUMMMMY!!! Staff is extemly friendly (Tori was very patient while taking our order and gave us excellent suggestions). We will be in town for a few more days and will be back at least one more time before we depart.

Very hit and miss, sometimes great, sometimes not, you never can tell. Very large menu, and things are made fresh. Serving sizes tend to run large here. I found it overall to be pretty bland food, there's just not a lot of flavor going on here, especially with the sandwiches. Def need some salt, pepper, anything! Maybe that's how food is up north though? I have no clue. Their blue cheese dressing is quite good though.

A good New York style deli. Standard fare for the type of place. Lots of deli meat sandwiches and small platters. They do have knishes, latkes, and matzo ball soup. But it not real kosher and the corned beef and pastrami are made from round instead of Kosher brisket. But the food is tasty but a bit on the expensive side. Lunch for to can set you back close to 40 bucks if you get beverage, and pastry. But worth a stop if it is deli you crave. The portion are generous and the service is good and friendly.

Love this place!! We are visiting from out of town and went for the first night of Chanukah. The latkes were on point, the matzah ball was the perfect amount of firm/fluffy, and the corned beef was fresh. We got some chocolate rugelah to go and it was very hard not to eat it all at once. Needless to say we were not disappointed.

Too-jays at Dr Philips. My mom, sister and I had our lunch there today. The middle-age lady who is a hostess with short spiky hair was incredibly out of sort this morning. She brought us to the table, spoke and repeated her words to us in slowly motion, “ this is your menu, one, two, three. No breakast after 11am, this one no breakfast, ( again she spoke in slow motion) this menu also no breakfast, this one no breakast. “ she also turned the special menu and pointed at it saying, this one no breakast only lunch. She turned the menu over and repeated on the other side of the menu, no breakast lunch only. How strange. I am an Asian American citizen living in America for over 30 years who decided to eat at Toojays in Dr Phillips area. We do frequent Toojays for breakfast almost every weekend at Waterford lake and Fashion Square locations. I was appalled at her ignorant attitude toward her customers solely based on our appearances being of Asian descent. We were treated as if we couldn’t speak English. Also she spoke so loudly that all the surrounded customers were in awe and silent. Oh, we were still standing while she went in and on about the menus. Went for breakfast on a Saturday. Ordered the eggs benedict. The eggs were soft boiled, did send it back and got a perfect egg. However, the sauce separated, and when I asked for more they brought out more of the separated sauce. Manager did come out, gave me more separated sauce and told me that's how it came in the bag. Went to TJ's to get homemade sauce not one from a bag extremely disappointed.

My family visited today (Dr. Phillips location) and had a rather uncomfortable experience. We are a black/latino family. After we were seated, we realized that guests that arrived after us were being served, and our waiter was ignoring our table. After 10-15m of no acknowledgment, while other tables were recieving food and service, my husband spoke to the manager. She was extremely professional and reactive (profusely apologized and comped appetizer). Another waitress, Augustina, was assigned to our table and she was fabulous. Together, both the manager and Augustina made us feel welcome. Because of how manager/Augustina responded, we tipped her nearly 50% of our bill. While our experience was initially uncomfortable, the service recovery and delicious food guaranteed that we'll return.

The picture tells all. Great food, great service! I had a tongue Reuben. Fantastic, with the thinly sliced tongue piled sky high, on wonderfully soft rye bread. My companions split an appetizer of loaded potato latkes, and a corned beef reuben. Service by Mike was quick, and efficient. He took the time to joke with us, but don't let this fool you! It does not slow him down.
