First time trying this place and overall, I personally loved it. We came around 2pm on Tuesday and it wasn't busy and we were seated immediately. Our server was very attentive and helped us in our options in what to order. Tuna Tacos - were AMAZING! Tuna was cooked perfectly and served on flour tortillas with sliced avacados, wasabi sauce, lettuce and tomatoes. The spice of the wasabi sauce was perfectly balanced with the cool taste of the avocado. As I'm writing this my mouth is starting to crave these

Ok, so this is our first stop in Marathon Fl. It was freaking awesome!!! Super fast and friendly service, the food was phenomenal, and it was a a reasonable price. What more could you ask for? So, if you’re ever in town, come here.. seriously. The buffalo fried mahi bites where especially tasty, the blackened mahi sandwich was delicious, and the fried conch sandwich was so tender. Thank you! You guys rock!!!

Visited here during Canadian March Break while driving out to Key West. Saw all the great reviews and figured it was worth a stop. Just like many other buildings around here it doesn't look like much from the road. However the covered outdoor patio is cozy with nice ocean inspired decor and lots of plants and the food is delicious. We had various fish sandwiches with fries, coleslaw and bean salad. Everyone loved it (including our kids) and the service was great too. The key lime pie for dessert is divine!

They brought out the wrong food the first time then just my dish which my fish way dry as a bone. My boyfriend finally got his salad. I sent my food back and didn't order anything else. He finally got his dish an hour and 1/2 later, it was ok. I will never go back there again.

Enjoyed their fried shrimp! Cooked to perfection. This is a fun place with seafood market and eatery. They have outside seating but we chose inside. It was bright and airy. From the second we walked in we were acknowledged and received immediate service. The staff works as a team, which is great because this was a happening place. Ms Platt was our server and was a total delight. Cheerful and interactive service made our lunch a relaxing and fun affair.

Ate here December 21, 2017. Are waitress was Casey; she had a bubbly personality and very attentive to our table. Was quick to get drinks and take our orders. It was a table of six with two babies and we all got our food in about 15 minutes. The food was amazing. Would say it has been the best food we have ate since we got here. Service is right there with an iced tea or water. My date had coconut shrimp I had whole fried yellow tail snapper. The snapper was nicely done, crispy with a slightly tangy tomato onion garlic sauce. Price is reasonable for the area.

Two stars is probably generous. A table of locals was there celebrating family birthdays. They got the attention of two wait staff. We got cold food. after waiting over thirty minutes. Cold fish, cold shrimp, cold chicken and cold fries. Oh, and she brought all the food at the same time including our salads.... Except the appetizer, that arrived 5 minutes after all the other cold food. It was the only thing that was hot. Oh, and it is our first anniversary. Thanks for nothing.

The best Cuban sandwich in the Keys. It's made a little different with their special sauce added but nevertheless amazingly great. Brutus is always busy so do expect a small wait before food is served. They have a mini seafood market and offer good prices. Everything is always served fresh.

Tasty, fresh seafood. They ran out of lobster, but substituted blackened mahi in the po' boy and it was great! Also subbed in blackened mahi instead of fried fish for my daughter's kids meal (upon my request) which was greatly appreciated (and very tasty, well cooked!) Waitresses were all very friendly, and brought a fish bowl sticker sheet for my daughter, so sweet. I'll come back for lunch!

I ordered the conch platter, the fried conch was tough, the ceviche was good. Then we ordered shrimp poorboys. It was served in a hotdog buns with shredded lettuce and THERE WERE 8 SHRIMP IN MY POORBOY, WE GOT OT GRILLED!! IT COST ME 15$ FOR A HOT DOG BUN WITH 8 SHRIMP(SMALL). RIDICULOUS when Publix has a lbnof shrimp for $6. I'm a local and It was my first and last time there.

Brutus Seafood is a quintessential Florida Keys lunch spot or for a cheap dinner. Try the black bean salad with your mahi sandwich. Even on a 90 degree day, the outdoor dining area is shaded and cool, with an island atmosphere.

Second time in two months that we've been there - both disappointing. The seating outside is great, but the service was really slow. Today we waited 10 minutes just to get a Coke. The kitchen is slow as well - we waited over 30 minutes for two hamburgers. The first time we stopped the peel-and-eat shrimp was delicious, so we thought we'd give it another try. Don't waste your time (a lot of it waiting) and don't waste your money - the food isn't that great. Lots of other places with better food and service.

We were on our way to the aquarium in marathon so we started looking around Google and found this place. We were not dissapointed. I personally recommend the conch sandwich. And we had a great time at the aquarium!!!! Which came highly recommended by the owner (who was also our waitress).

Recently had a wedding in Marathon Florida and stopped in to this market to inquire of stone crab that we were personally serving at the wedding reception. Not only did they have amazing stone crab, but the owner, Elise, offered to meet me during off hours to ensure that we had fresh crab the day of the wedding. Further, she offered to personally come to our venue to help crack the crab, if we needed her to do so. A wonderful experience. Thank you Elise for coming through last minute!!

Best. Fish. Sandwich. Ever! I saw triple tail on the menu for the first time in my fifty years and have it a try. It really was the best I've ever had and I have had many. The potato salad also hit the mark and I even looked the pickle, which is unheard of. They also have a seafood market inside and everything looked super fresh, though I would have liked to see a whole fish or two.

So happy they are now open for supper! The seafood dishes are so fresh and tasty. Loved the Stone Crab Claw Crabcake sandwich. My hubby got the club sandwich toasted and he enjoyed it too. We will definitely be going back to sample the rest of the menu. Oh and they have a great beer selection with both local brews and international brews along with all the standards.

I don't know why this place has such good reviews. Food wasn't anything out of the ordinary, much better places to eat around Marathon key. The fried calamari was greasy and overcook. And the service was really slow. I understand island/keys time, but in our case it was beyond that.

We work quickly seated in this typical Florida Keys thatched-roof Eatery. The menu was very good and the food was brought up promptly and was exactly as was shown on the menu. The tuna and Yellowfin were fabulous and the wait staff was friendly and the only view was of the bar. Definite Party Place in the Keys and the place to go and buy seafood to bring home from the market. Food was well-priced and the portions were perfect. Bring the family bring your friends and have fun. Located just off Highway 1. Plenty of parking!

Definitely will stop here again. Ive been going to the keys for years and i truly do believe this has been my favorite meal there. Everything we ate was fresh and exceptional for the price. Even has great craft beer! I ordered the fried conch (which was cooked perfectly----not chewy or drowned in batter) and the lobster roll which came loades with meat and a perfect light dressing. My boyfriend got the mahi sandwich which he raved about for days even back in miami. We had great hopes for this restaurant, mainly due to word-of-mouth but were sorely disappointed: the spicy breaded cauliflower was fantastic but the entrees were not. My sister's beef tacos were acceptable but nothing more. My salad with chicken came with what appeared to be canned pineapple tidbits and a watery Thai-inspired dressing. The fries, both regular and sweet potato, were a bit cool and not especially flavorful. I really don't like having to leave a bad review but cannot lie and say we enjoyed it.
