Count your crabs before you leave. We got 35 crabs for $140. Suppose to be 3 1/2dozen. They said because they were no.1 there is less. There more experience then no 2 so why would we get less. Not sold by weight. Not happy at all.

I have had the worst experience every single time I st foot in this store only because Jose makes it his business to make sure my experience is the worst. He purposely hives me the worst crabs very dry and over cooked. My dad before his death was a famous NEW YORK CHEIF THAT ALWAYS MADE IT HIS BUSINESS TO ORDER FROM HARBOR HOUSE FOR HIS RESTARANT BUT SINCE EVERYONE IS AWARE OF JOSE ATTITUDE AND UNAPPRECIATED SERVICETHEY REFUSE TO BUY ANYMORE . I started buying crabs there about 25 years ago and never had a problem but now it never fails Jose wants me to have a mersirable experience and he makes it his business to be very very extremely rude and he calls it DOING HIS JOB WELL I NO THATS NOT WHAT THE BUSINESS STANDS FOR SO UNTIL HES GONE THE BUSINESS WILL CONTINUE TO SUFFER AND LOSE MONEY

I have no idea how these people are still in business. We paid $220 for a bushel of crabs and only received a half bushel. We live in Milford and had to drive all the way back to Seaford to get our bushel and received no discount! The “manager” was so unprofessional and was asking us to point out who screwed up our order in front of all the customers and employees, we felt terrible for the person he kept pointing out. We apparently received “the best number 2s” and they were absolutely awful. They were dry and so small barely looked legal and didn’t have any meat in them. I have never been so disappointed. The manager is a joke, I understand mistakes happen but he offered no remedy to the poor customer service and our drive back and forth to Seaford. Absolutely pitiful. We will never be back.

Purchased 4 bags of the $5.00 crab claws. They had a very strong odor. I figured seafood so, ok. I thought they just needed to be rinsed off, so I did. However when I went to eat some, they were slimy both inside and out. As I was visiting family in DE, I was unable to return them when I did finally attempt to eat some as I was back in NC. I did call regarding the claws and all the manager did was say uh-huh and ok. Because of the smell alone, I spent more for a half bushel of crabs at another seafood store in DE on 13. I am so glad I did rather than chance slimy crabs with a uh-huh and ok. Won't go back for any seafood. Harbor House was my favorite seafood place to go when I visit. It was my favorite when I lived in DE. Sad.

Harbor House has a great selection of seafood but they are pricey. A bushel of oysters was small and twice the cost as going to the docks and buying from the fisherman. Drove down to Chincoteague and bought 2 1/2 bushels and the savings was well worth the drive.

Bought #1 Crabs and paid top dollar. Crabs were over cooked and smelled bad. Claws were so dried out there was no meat. Some smelled like chemicals, some smelled like bleach. Had to throw most in the garbage. Didn't want to get sick. Will never go back.

This review is reflective of one of the workers, so called manager, named Paco, which is a bad attitude and mean spirit. Food is good, got some bad shrimp and he gave me shrimp that were 40 count and I paid for 15/21 count, charging me $75 for shrimp that should of cost $45. That's not bad enough. I turned him onto a crabber out of N. Carolina, who was giving him great crabs at cheap prices. I would buy Harbor house crabs instead of getting them from my friend. I just got back from this place, ordering crabs at 4pm on 6/8/18. He waited on four people who came in after me.The whole time Paco was giving me dirty looks , like I did something to the idiot. Then when I complained he said, bye , see you later. Remember I am the guy who was responsible for getting good crabs in the first place. Needless to say I will not be buying my seafood from them anymore. I will be going back to Kool Ice or Lindy's in Cambridge where their stuff is much fresher, and all their counter people, have a much better attitude towards his customers. Do what you wish and I know I got a gripe with this guy but if you visit , you can see for yourself what a mean little P...K he is, the guy they call Paco. Besides, the two other places sell American Crabmeat, not the cheap stuff caught from mercury infested waters of South America or Asia.
