I am home visiting family from DC and was craving a clam roll. I chose this place based on online reviews. It was just what I wanted. Simple fresh fried seafood, although we were told they will be offering baked and grilled options soon. They also have Rhode Island clam chowder, which is hard to find even in New England. Definitely will come back.

The food is below average and I believe they have two pricing systems, one for their white patrons, and higher prices for their patrons of color. Price really doesn't matter if the food is good, but to be overcharge because of my ethnicity for bland food is just bananas. The white woman who waits on customers has a very bad disposition, and it's amazing that all these people would eat anything from her. I paid $22 for these greasy sides. People of color beware...

Explored Uberti's for the first time; having the fried whole-belly clans with fries diner. You get ample amount of food. Though fried, the clamp were lightly breaded and seasoned. Very good in my opinion. This is ultra casual road-side earery. A retail market is in the right-hand side of the building. Full assortment Of seafood. Some of food can be made to order for take-out or dine-in. Just ask. Personal, friendly, and quick service.

Ubertis is an absolute institution. I don't eat fish anywhere else, this place is truely the best of the best. Their fish and chips are to die for. Their prices are great, too. For $8 you get a good amount of fries and a big ol piece of perfectly fried fish. And as someone who doesn't like clam, the clam strips are actually really good! I've been coming here since I was a kid, and no other place can even compare. If I could give them 6 stars I would! Pictured is two orders of fish and chips, two medium lemonades, a medium water, and an order of clam strips.

The fish I have purchased here is always very fresh. They have great variety and the staff is always curtious and helpful. They offer meals here. Take out or dine in. No waiters but they do bring your food to your table after you order it at the counter if you choose to eat there. I highly recommend the fish and chips as well as the cod sandwich. The cod here is super fresh and delicious.

Had dinner here today, my husband and I both had the Captains platter and the lobster roll. The fries are addictive, the fish and scallops were fresh and tender, the shrimps were nice and plump. Baked clams were huge and still had some bite to them. The lobster roll was fresh, hot, buttery and i dont even like lobster, but i do now! Coleslaw & tartar sauce was real and homemade. They even sell crab dips and macroni salad. Everything was cooked to perfection and the staff was such a delight along with the other patrons dining there. Very welcoming establishment really a joy going there.

Their prices are higher than most if not any other fish market and I do believe they lie about their salmon that they claim is wild. Wild salmon is NOT full of fat like they sell for 19.00 per pound. It's been a while since I have visited this store (4th of Jully ish) but my sister tells me they are still selling it... Wild salmon does NOT look anything like what they claim is wild. Insulting. What else are they lying about if they are indeed lying about the salmon being wild?

I was looking for a place to buy good seafood since Swansons Fish Market in Fairfield was the place to go but now closed. I bought stuffed clams and crab cakes with coleslaw. Crab cakes and clams were nothing but stuffing. So disappointed. Coleslaw was great. Will continue to search for better.

I am here about once per week buying delilicous, fresh fish for home grilling. This place is awesome! We spent many summers at Cape Cod and Uberti's is on par with the best. If you are in the mood for the usual (but perfectly prepared) fried fish, you will not be disappointed with the restaurant items. Be careful if it is Sunday ... they close at 5 and you would not want to disappoint your family!

Kind of expensive & the older lady on the fried seafood side looked at me like I had 16 heads when I simply asked does the fish sandwich come on wheat bread. A Whiting sandwich should not cost $3.99 unless it's served with at least two pieces not one.

I'd recommend Uberti's to anybody that enjoys a fine seafood meal. I don't understand how others have had food that wasn't good, I come to Uberti's on frequently after work and usually do bring the food home-and it's always great. I especially love the fish and chips.

I needed to find a fishmonger to buy fresh fish from to make homemade sushi. This place had decent reviews and some friends of ours have happily done business with them for many years. I came with a cooler and asked about what they had to offer for making sushi at home. She insisted all of their offerings were fresh and confidently stated all of it was of "sushi grade." I only put that in quotes because it is an entirely subjective and unregulated term. She spread butcher paper over the block and used a clean blade to carve off the Ahi I requested. I was allowed to inspect the fish before I bought it as well which is a must. She also packed it in ice in my cooler for me to safely transport back home. Another key feature to my comfort in consuming raw food from a fishmonger is that the place ONLY deals in fish and is busy, indicative of quick turnover so fish does not sit on the shelf and also that butcher blocks and blades aren't used to carve up some chicken and then to cut up your fish. As far as I could tell these guys only sold fish and shell fish. The quality of the fish was excellent and it tasted great. The staff member at the counter also told me if I ever wanted something specific for sushi, such as yellowtail or red snapper, she could have it ordered for me which is very nice. Overall very pleased and will definitely be back again.
