This Fish Shop is included in the category of Seafood restaurant.
This is by far some of the best fried fish I have ever had. I do not know what sort of magical ingredients they use but it's like crispy air and delicious fish. I don't know how else to describe this food. Just AMAZING!!!!! Don't miss out on this if you are in the area.
Probably the best fish and chips I have had in a very long time. A little bit of a hole in the wall vibe but nice. The batter is light and crisp, the fish is fresh, and the prices are reasonable. The staff was super friendly and service was quick. I gave it 4 stars due to the hole in the wall vibe, they could spend a bit of time cleaning. The tables were a bit greasy from past guests and the picnic tables out back had dried food on them.
Best fish and chips outside of Great Britain!
Best Fish and chips in town. My favorite is Scallops and chips. Magic with a fryer.
I love this place their food is so good. The fish is always delicious and the curry sauce is to die for you can dip your fish or chips in it.
The food is always very good. The wait is usually long though, as everything is made to order. There is an issue with parking at this location. The giant parking lot next to it is off limits and only for Winchell's customers. There are only about 6 spaces in the back that can be used and they are always taken.
One of my favorites!! Great fish and chips and cold beer .. good service love the chefs!
Good fish that you can tell isfresh, but their prices are really high. Ordered a cod meal and was told the fries don’t come with it. We upgraded to get fries and a fountain drink. Two orders of their six piece fish, chips, and soda plus One tea and a 3 piece fish meal with fries =$62! Fries were dry, could be improved. Also, they can stand to give larger servings of tartar. The side they gave was so small it was hard if not impossible to dip your fish into it. Overall, fish worth the money but fries were not. I’d expect to pay about $45 max for the same meal. Maybe their prices are high because of the downtown location they lease?
GB FISH and CHIPS DOES NOT SERVE ANY GLUTEN-FREE SEAFOOD. DON'T BE DECEIVED!
Hit and miss, have often been left waiting over 30 minutes for food and having to take it to go because my lunch hour was ending. $9 for 4 fried Shrimp. If my coworkers didn't like cheap bottom feeder tilapia Tuesday I probably would never come back.
This meal was perfect. We go every 3rd Friday of the month and last time batter was soggy but this visit excellent. Everything appears to be cooked fresh so no idea why there is variability but still worth trying out this venue. Staff super friendly.
Not usually a big fried food fan but these fish and chips were really good. Pretty heavy which is expected with fried food. Guy who took my order was very helpful and nice.
Guy at front counter got smart with me when I discovered that there was literally nothing I can eat due to my allergy to gluten. I'm also visually impaired and when I told him I couldn't see the menu behind him he asked if I knew how to read.
I had a craving for fish and chips, and I've driven by this place many times. Definitely didn't regret our decision. We had the cod and the oysters, both were amazing! Next time we're downtown I plan on stopping in again. Staff was really friendly too.
Friendly people, excellent pasties and drinks
Great Tuesday deal. Service was quick and the staff was very nice! Good was delicious.
It reminded me of h-salt fish-n-chips almost the same and malt vinagar on the fish is the bomb they also have several side dishes as well there are different type fish your choice priced very reasonable I will definitely go back it also ok has great atmosphere for adults and kids also.outside seating
Best fish and chips EVER, my favorite is the talapia. Everything is super delicious, you can't go wrong -they even have curry! I just wish there was a location South of Centennial area, near Castle Rock...
Good food. Very casual spot. Fish are cooked in true English fashion.
Love The Food Only Place in Colorado I eat Fish & Chips, The Atmosphere Is Great Lots of Fun. Amazing Prices For The Quanity & Quality of Food
It was good the service was nice and pleasant and fast and I will be back thank you
Outstanding place for quality seafood. the service was very sociable and kind. this place has a good atmosphere.
There is one REALLY good fish & chips place in Denver. This ain't it...but it's pretty damn close. Their tilapia is amazing!
This was by far the best fish and everything place I have eaten at since I moved here. Service was standard for take out but the staff I ordered from were awesome and patient with me. Definitely will come back.
The Prawns were really good. The cod not so much. But it is all a matter of taste.
And we have a winner!!! Just left this location after a wonderful lunch.....all thumbs up!!! Been searching for years for authentic crispy fish and chips and finally.....sad because Arthur Treachers hasn't been nationwide for years and now I'm in crispy cod nirvana. Staff was friendly and professional. Yummy
Absolutely fantastic fish and chips.... Try the combo... Half orders are huge... This is a Denver must!
My boyfriend and I dine here when we’ve got a hankering for fish and chips. We usually each choose something different and split it. Portions are huge so we usually get halves and split those! Definitely worth the price.
This place is absolutely amazing and my go to for quality fish & chips. Although sometimes there is little to no salt on the chips. Other than that, this place is spectacular! You want to go to here.
For Fish and chips you can't go wrong here!! So Awesome!!! I Love this place!!!
I usually love this place. They have awesome fish and chips, and the staff is top notch. But for some reason the portions were all over the board (wife's was too big, and mine was 50% of hers). Also the QUALITY of fish was touch and chewy. I now we live in the middle of a desert - but we can do better on the fish front.
Some of the best Fish and Chips I've ever had, Australia comes in with a few close seconds, Broadway restaurant is cozy and small. I enjoy it every time.
Always good. . . especially with the curry sauce! Steak chips (fries) are okay, but the batter on the cod is outstanding. Fish flavor is good. Prices are decent and service is good! They're likely always open when you're hungry. Just do NOT park in the Winchell's parking lot to the north of GB. Instead park on Broadway or in the back.
Good food but greasy
Had the cod. Very light crunchy batter served with lots of chips. Taste great with malt vinegar. Casual seating.
I have been coming here since they open. I eat there often. They have other locations in Denver. Best fish and chips . Also serve beer. Everyone needs to try this place out
The place looks great, the staff is professional, and the menu sounds perfect. Unfortunately, the food is way oily and way over-breaded. I tried it several times and each time I ended up peeling off about half the breading and still ended up with glistening oiled hands and felt a little sick later. Maybe I'm over sensitive to oil but I've had way better fish n chips in other cities. Sadly this is not a repeat place for me. Im still looking for a great fish n chips spot in Denver.
Had some tasty cod and chips. Nice patio for a group dinner and conversation!
Very tasty and great service
The service was great, food was delicious. Parking left a lot to be desired.
Great place for fish and chips, probably the best in Denver. As soon as you walk in the door you feel as though you have been transported to the UK. They have many variety of fish to choose from. The staff is intelligent and friendly. The price is a little high but will work it. Enjoy some fish n' chips with a cold beer, nothing is better on a hot summer evening. If it's snowing enjoy some warm chips. This place is always busy. Parking is cramped but off the street.
This is the best place for fish and chips in Denver. The staff are great people and the wait time for the food is short. There is both indoor and outdoor eating areas. The inside is like a laid back pub. While the outside isn't quite so nice. The only down side is their isn't too much parking space available in their lot.
Really enjoyed the fish and chips. Super hot , light and flaky crust. Tartar sauce was really good. Great and friendly staff.
Nice visits always... deep fried oysters are always a favorite. The curry sauce pairs well with anything.
The food was amazing, the staff was friendly. Only reason I'm not giving the fifth star is parking. Definitely recommend regardless.
GB Fish and Chips is a Denver favorite of mine and my good (European) friend who introduced me to this location. I'm from the UK so I am picky and know the difference between god and not good fish and chips, GB's food is good - try the Shepherds Pie too!
I always love their food and staff!!! Their prawns are the best
This is the bomb if you are craving some really great fish and chips!
I've never had better beer battered cod. I've tried other fish on their menu and they're good but nothing beats the cod. It's fried light and is not greasy. I've been trying to duplicate the batter at home with no success. I used to try beer battered fish at random places and I can't do that anymore. GB is now THE destination for Fish n Chips. No other place will do.
Always enjoy the fish and shepard pies. They were a little chintzy with the chips, cole slaw is very good. Parking can be a problem but around 5PM on Tuesday, no problem.
Great atmosphere, amazing food, PBR!! Happy hour is amazing. Not so great for parking though.
Great fish and chips, but no malt vinegar, odd for an otherwise British style place.
Omgosh so good. Got the cod fish and chips half order, that’s all of food for a half order! Been searching for a good fish n chips place and I found it!
If we lived near here it would be our favorite neighborhood place. My partner can have no gluten and we took a gamble on the Shepard's Pie. Success! Good food, nice folks, adequate parking. Oh yeah, beer.
Nice place, quick service, courteous staff and cool atmosphere. Outdoor seating has lovely view and services over here are excellent.
Perfect place for quick bite to eat. My family went to the art museum and we wanted some place to go, we heard good things about this place and decided we would try it out. Their fish and chips are some of the best I have ever had, the prices were just right, service was great, and food was even better. Definitely recommend going here
Fantastic fish and chips, wouldn't be out of place in a London pub. Will definitely be back for more.
Great food and fast service. Definitely worth visiting again!
Tasty and friendly service. Had the Cod and chips. Very nice. Quick, too. Thankfully we got there just before Sunday lunch as it filled up quickly
Amazing do come
Definitely my favorite fish and chips in Denver. The cod and seafood itself is surprisingly good for being this far away from the ocean. I pretty much always get the half combo with a side of curry every time but the pasties and sausage rolls are great as well. The communal seating is fun and this place can get wild when the right game is on.
Great fish and chips but also pasties and bangers. Drinks aren't great though we had the 2 with Pimms.
Best fish and chips place! The selection is big! On Tuesday the tilapia is on sale, for a mere 2 bucks! They have an English pub vibe, & they serve the English fare like shepherd's pie, & bangers! I get a craving for their treats way too often! AND they have Boddingtons!
GB Fish and Chips is by far the best fish & chips eatery in the metro area! I've noticed some inconsistencies with this Broadway location, NEVER with the location by Sloan's Lake - it is ALWAYS perfection! Prices are high for standard fish and chips, but it is still the best around! Yum!
I ordered the Cod meal with a side of clam chowder and a pickled onion for lunch.... it was so good that I think I'll go back for dinner ♡ Simple, fresh, homemade and delicious.
Reminds me of London! Fish is great, and I'd also recommend the clam chowder! Large portions and reasonable prices. Bring your friends!
Love the casual atmosphere. Fried scallops are pretty good, just a bit chewy. Maybe over cooked? In any case, they are still tasty! Tartar sauce portion is very small like the taste cups at a frozen yogurt store.
Delicious! Tried the cod, tilapia, scallops and squid. My 8 year old loved the squid, the 16 year old loved the scallops and the adults are just boring and liked the cod the best. We'll be back!
Outstanding!!! Best fish and chips I have ever eaten. I can't wait to come back and bring the wife with me. I'm not a big fish guy but man!!!! The banger and onions was great to.
Great food some of the best fish I've ever had great price
Oh I love this place! The theme is very well done and they have many options for food. If you're not super hungry then you can only get 1 piece of fish which is good for people like me. Unfortunately they do not have any vegitarian options except the fries. But the fries and curry are so good together it's almost worth it to eat just those.
I just love it. Thats all that is going be said...
Friend gave me the cod. Very good. Going back.
It's been a while since we had their fish. Got tilapia today and other than wanting a little salt, it was fantastic. Better than we remembered.
Good food at reasonable prices. Not a place for a first data think dive bar. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful.
Tasty and made to order! Also friendly service.
Small and cozy restaurant with the BEST fresh fish and chips. We always go for the Cod and Pollock. Ask for the brown sauce on the side, it's pretty delicious. Great selection of beer too!
GB’s makes the best fish and chips outside of England. However the last time I ate at this location it tasted like they re-used the Winchells oil for the fish fry. WTF. A little sugary sweetness on my cod and fries? Not so great. I like the Sloan Park location the best anyway...
Been here many times. Love the food and the staff is great!
We shared a combo meal between two of us and it was perfect for lunch, great food!
I go here once every few weeks. It's a geat atmosphere and I love the food!
Great food. Awesome people. Plus, an entire bottle of sparkling wine with orange juice is $10.
No frills eatery. Limited in what they do but they do it very well. It seemed to me also that the batter was not as salty as some so you could actually taste the food. So yummy!!!
Had not had really good fish and chips in years...awesome! Highly recommend you check them out.Jesica..a store Manager very helpful and nice. They have 4 locations around town.
Great place to drink, eat and watch soccer (Futbol)
Great atmosphere. Great customer service! My dad is a regular on Talapia Tuesday! Best fish n chips in town!
Best damn fish and chips you'll have here
So yummy! What a fun place! Soccer on tv, soccer jerseys everywhere and great employees! The cod is so delicious and they don’t overdue the breading! The fries are crispy not soft!!! Yum! Love this place and totally recommend!
Really good buttered fish. I miss London, where I used to live, and this place takes me back a bit. The chips(fries) could be better, but then again, every fish and chips shop can only have either good fish or good fries. Never both.
The food was delicious. Closest fish n chips we have fpund to actual authentic from GB. Restaurant is small and has a small pub feel.
Oh man the fish and chips are amazing. I could eat here until I died.
Good seafood but REALLY REALLY greasy. Everything is fried.
Oh they had the best fish and chips. Fast and courteious
Great service. Cod was well cooked. Breading was a little heavy, but otherwise a good meal.
My mom and I love coming here. My mom is British and the food is like what she grew up with. Staff are friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable. Absolutely adore GB!
My new favorite restaurant! Tried their cod Fish and Chips meal, which includes fries and drink. Also added a half order of oysters as well. Loved everything, and the counter girls was more than happy to offer suggestions to this first timer.
I give this place 5 stars because I don't normally like fish and chips but this melted in my mouth. It was cooked perfectly - the breading had a light yet crisp consistency that, combined with juicy perfectly cooked fish, had a heavenly effect.
Super fun atmosphere, quick and friendly service, and I have not had a single thing from the menu that I didnt like. Good place to meet new people and watch footie. Check em out, I suggest the squid and chips!
We visit here at least a few times a month. It's the ONLY place we eat fish and chips! Hubby and I split a full basket of cod. The fish and chips are always hot and crispy, food comes out quickly and the people are great. We enjoy sitting at the picnic tables outside in the back. Can't say enough good things!
Great cod. Fresh and nor greasy!
Great place to go for fish-n-chips for St. Patrick's day - we also got a free kids meal. Fun staff!
Great authentic food and atmosphere!
The food and atmosphere are excellent
Great spot if you're in the mood for some of the British classics. Some of the menu looks a little pricey for the food you get, but I hit a night when the fish was on special and was able to get fish and chips and a PBR for under $10 including tip. Left with a full and satisfied stomach. Delicious food, chill atmosphere and friendly service - can't beat that!
Cool hip little place I just found. Friendly service. Extremely fast. Cool grungy feel 4 dudes and fish lovers. Beer and fish what else do you need. steak fries are super thick and the cod was also about three times thicker than fish has Long John silver's LOL. I will be back for sure thank you.
I'm an Englishman fish and chips mean a lot to me best fish and chips this side of the Mississippi. I don't care oh and less you get to California and then well it's California
Lemon were not good, Great Fish!!
Greatest fish and chips I've had outside of the UK. Wonderful environment, great employees, and a great pairing of beers for the food. I wish they had even more British beers, but what they have is great. I will continue to frequent.
This place has some amazing fish and chips. It's a little pricey but it's worth it, next time though when I pay 47 dollars for 2 meals and ask for more then 2 tarter sauces don't look at me like I don't need them. It shouldn't matter how many I want I just paid 50 dollars to eat here just ask how many.
The fish was a little too greasy. The sausage rolls are good though. They also do military discount!
Best fish and chips I have had in Colorado. To make things even better, they serve one of my favorite beers - Boddingtons
Love the authentic fish and chips. Had the Cod, a little oily but great flavor.
Love it. The food was good. Very hot. Straight from the deep fryer to my plate. Fast service. I recommend fish and chips. With green curry sauce
The cod is to die for! I love the Shepard Pie also so good!
If I were to judge restaurants by how often I visit them, this would be my favorite.
Best tilapia in town. The Tuesday deal just adds to the flavor.
Fish is first rate. Hot and crispy. Was here for lunch so didn't try the adult beverages but appears to be a pretty good selection.
I was craving proper fish and chips the other day, and this place hit the spot. A good selection, great batter, and the halibut special was exactly what I was looking for. Highly recommend!
Simply our favorite fish n' chips! Delicious golden crispy batter and meaty, yet tender, cod! Maybe it's because they go perfect with the fish, but we love the chips, too!
The staff were friendly, the place clean and the fish was fantastic
Chicken curry pastie with chips and a pint, great any day, even on a Friday.
Batter is fantastic. Good greasy fried seafoods. Not overly greasy, but decidantley, sinfully
Wish they still had mushy peas but no place better to go for chips and curry! Made a special detour on the way home from a ski trip just to come here. Fish is always excellent, even the tilapia is good! My favorite is the squid and prawns. Best place for Brittish comfort food (and my husband is British)
Pretty good place. I came here on recommendation that a friend gave since he knows the owner. Cool story how he started the restaurants because Denver didn't have any fish and chips so he went to the UK to get his dad's recipe. The food was good and I was shocked to find they had Brown Sauce. The chips were cut just like they do it in the UK. This place still didn't beat my favorite place in Liverpool, but still good!
Cod with curry sauce. I don't need to say anymore
Great Fish and chips place. The tilapia half meal is more than enough to fill the belly.
The food was ok, but it was more than I expected it would cost. Consider the fish portion is around $8.00 and the the chips and drinks are sold separately, then if you leave a tip... I think I spent around $14.00 for lunch all together. The place was nice and had a decent crowd.
A great spot in Jamaica Plains. Delicious food, awesome drinks, and a laid back atmosphere. The ginger beer was particularly refreshing, their deviled eggs are tasty, and a friend of mine says their burger is the best he has ever had. Will definitely be coming back.
Having grown up traveling to the south England every year and eating fish and chips there I feel confident to say that this place is as close as it gets. Great fish cooked perfectly with warm crispy chips, malt vinegar, tartar sauce, a fresh lemon wedge, and a cold beer to wash it down. What else could you ask for? Not to mention that it is served in a "newsletter" for additional authenticity. Needless to say, I will be coming back for more!
Great atmosphere. Very affordable and the food is top quality. I don't love fish so I have to trust my wife's reaction...which was very good. They have lots of options for non fish lovers (sausage rolls, pasties etc). Chips (fries) are very well done. Highly recommended if you're sick of the usual fast casual suspects...or even if you aren't.
You can't go wrong with anything here. It's no wonder there's always a line the food is delicious the Giant Shrimp and scallops definitely #1 on my list !!
Crispy delicious fish. The chips are much better than in England. Dont tell England though.
So much love for this place. After visiting Ireland a few times coming back and trying to find authentic fish and chips was slow going until GB! Personally I love the pollock chips and curry and a .75 cent PBR
Really nice fish and chips here. Pretty much traditional Aussie style (and I presume English as well). Deep-fried battered fish (several species available) and real proper chips (not fries). We both had the Cod half-meal. It was a little oily but not over the top. Very tasty though. Decent value for money, and a great relief from the over-abundance of American fast-food chains that all taste as bad as each other. It's only a small shop, but glad we found it.
Legit little spot. Delicious fish and chips, cool and divey atmosphere. Will come back for sure!
I loved this place. Good food.
The Cod deep fried fun. Crispy and flakey ( YUM FACE )
Impressed. I don't like fish, but I'm converted. So good! Will definitely be back!!!
Fast service and a extra piece of fish .
The food is good and the staff is very friendly. I would have given them 5 stars, but it can be difficult to find a place sit and eat inside. Small space with oversized tables...
Best fish n chips around, so far!
Love this.plave. Been going there since it opened. This is the real deal not a wannabe. Always fresh n hot. Not pretentious or trendy. Just good honest fish n chips. They have other items that are just as good but I drive across town to stop whenever I can. Guilty pleasure for sure.
Amazing the closest thing to real UK fish and chips. I absolutely love coming here. A bit on the pricey side but worth the investment. Give them a try. They also have a descent beer selection. They also have a location on Colfax.
Best beaded shrimp(prawns) and chips I've had in about 12 years. Definitely recommend! It was the bomb!
Absolutely amazing fried and battered fish. Be forewarned the half order is more food than one person can eat. That's not a bad thing. Great food, great atmosphere, loved every second of it... I would highly recommend trying GB fish and chips
Love the fried mars bar and chips&ketchup, and frequently go just for those two items (and a cider)!
It's great just wish the price wasn't so crazy. But other than that it was good keep it up.
Good fish (cod) and reasonable portions. Get the "family pack" to save.
Legit fish and chips. Cheap beer. Nice people. This isn't a 3 star Michelin kind of place, but it's a perfect casual stop in the neighborhood.
1st visit, recommended by a friend of mine. This nay have been the Best fish & chips I have EVER had!! Better than when I was in London. The fish was hot, fresh, flaky, & flavorful, with a wonderful light, crispy batter- served with an excellent tartar sauce & malt vinegar available, accompanied by a heap of hot chips & fresh, crunchy, cold slaw. To top it off, I enjoyed a cold, frosty pint of lager. The service was quick, pleasant, & efficient. The staff was gregarious & helpful. I most definitely will be a return customer. No doubt! And to top it off, Happy hour is ALL day on Mondays, which is when I checked it out. Go... You you won't be disappointed. I can't wait to try some of the other offerings.
Really great brunch with two types of sausage and a scotch egg. Will be back for dinner to try the haggis.
Love this place! Fish is fresh & hot and food is quality-driven. I am hooked! Lots of character & low key setting.
This is hands down the very best fish and chips I have EVER had, and I have had fish and chips pretty much everywhere fish and chips are served. The scallops are amazing. I will eat GB every time I am in Denver from now on.
Always good. This location has the best employees.
Some of the best fish and chips I have ever had! Classic, crispy, and rich in flavor! Great portion sizes too! Strongly recommend!
GB Fish and Chips on Broadway in my opinion is the best fish and chips spot in Denver. There is a good selection of different fish you can get along with banger's and mash or pies to eat. The fish is fried right after you order and is served piping hot. The chips are thick but cooked through. I would recommend getting s side of the curry sauce to dip your fish or chips in. There is a selection of beer and wine that you can order if that is what you like. Very offer there will be a English football game on and if not the Rockies will be on. If your looking for a casual place to meet up with your friends and have some good food this should be a place on your short list of places to go.
Holy Fish! This seafood is so juicy and tender, and ridiculously flavorful! Not to mention super fresh too. We are always pleased when we eat here.
Hard to rate fried food, it was good. Tartar sauce was amazing and some of the best cole slaw I've ever had.
