I went here again and it was good with good service but they are still going to have to dig there way out of the one star hole for service I had them at for a long time. have not actually been here for a while. The food is good but we always get the waiter who is just about to get fired... Multiple times.. I won't go back for 6 months. The owners really should read the reviews and clean some house. The service is a problem.

We ordered The Reuben. The bread was too hard, toasted too long. Also, excessively greasy. Being ex New Yorkers, we eagerly ordered the Knish Square. They were fried too hard and were inedible. The waitress immediately replaced them. The WAITRESS was EXCEPTIONAL and prompt. I do not feel that the expense was worth it. $90.00 for three people!!!!!!!!!!!!

Amazing food and phenomenal staff. It is rare when you walk in to a place with such great ambiance. We were waited by Eve and let me say she went above and beyond as a server to make sure we were doing good. The food was fast and delicious and service was excellent. We ate here for breakfast after, admittedly, coming to the area to eat at Over Easy and finding it too crowded and lacking a patio for our dog. The food was delicious and the server was great! I got the French Toast combo and my husband got a breakfast burrito. We were super happy with both and the portions were so big neither of us finished our meal. As a plus they had a nice outside seating area and were glad to let our puppy hang out there with us by the table.

We went on a Friday morning and while they had a large group of people outside, the inside wasn’t too bad so we decided to stay. Waitress outside told us it would be 15 minutes before anyone could take our order. No big deal. We grabbed a table and waited. For 45 minutes. What a joke. That waitress wouldn’t even look us in the eye after we sat down. We had to flag down another waitress after she started her shift. We would have gone elsewhere but the place next door was busy too.

I do like this place. The food is good, especially the sandwiches. The breakfast is pretty good too, but not always consistent. I think if they limited their menu more and focused on making the stuff they specialize in REALLY good then it would be best. The prices are a little high for some of the sandwiches, but breakfast is reasonable. I think it's great since it's not a chain, and not many other places like it anymore.

The menu is huge and has so many options. You can get breakfast all day. All of the food is delicious. I love the East Side Breakfast Special. And the Prime Rib sub is super yummy! The pancakes are really good to. And they take to go orders. They also have a deli that you can buy deli meat and cheese at. This is one of our favorite places to eat in the springs.

Good food. We ordered many things, including the Broccoli Quiche, Pancakes (which were very fluffy and good), French Toast, the Club Sandwich with fries, and the jack-cheese and brisket knish, which was also very good (it tasted like potatoes with cheese and meat, though it was shaped like a biscuit). The service was good, and the food came out extremely quickly (in about 7 minutes). The atmosphere is also nice. The only reason I rated it 4 stars was because the food is somewhat expensive, though not too expensive. Overall, good food, service, and atmosphere.

I loved this deli, the food is outstanding. I live that it has table service. Their Reuben is off the charts, and they have a pretty good bloody mary. Daily specials, and soups of the day. I would recommend giving it a try if you haven't already.

I had a sausage and peppers sandwich. It was covered with melted cheese making it delicious. It had nice and spicy sausages. It was a little bit messy. I had to cut it up with a knife and fork in order to eat it. My husband had a pastrami sandwich which was huge. Half of either sandwich would have made a meal. I loved the coleslaw. I would like to go back to try the knish. 3 different kinds.

6-7-17 went there with my wife and kids about an hour before closing. Waitress was super nice, just didn't check up on us. she didn't ask how are meal was or how we were doing. had to go in multiple times to ask for various things, example: refill on drinks, to go box, tab, to apply the coupon to our tab.. when I went in to find our waitress she was chatting with 2 gentlemen at the bar, not really paying attention to me or the front counter. Really detached from her customers. Ordered the Philly, as we heard it was the best in town. Far from it. The Philly was more of a deli sliced roast beef sandwich with no flavor. Waffle fries were really good though. We ordered a piece of the 10in chocolate cake to split amongst ourselves. It was very big, however, the cake was super dry. $46.00 check for two phillys and 2 single French toast plates for my kids. I would say it was a little pricy considering the quality of the food. All in all, we will probably never return here.

We love this place, but got told right as we walked in at 530 that they close at 6. That’s fine we know what we want. Then a lady came in at 550 and they refused to let her order when she had tried to call it in ahead of time, but they didn’t answer. Then our order was wrong, but the grill was already off so they couldn’t fix it. The staff is so concerned with closing time they are not being attentive to the customers. When you’re open until 6 people can order until 6 and staff shouldn’t expect to be done by 6, closing time is not clock out time. As an owner of a business I feel the owner of this business should know since it’s not the first time we’ve witnessed it here.

So good the first time, we went back the next day! Stopped in for a quick late night bite. 30 prior to closing which is a bad time to walk in a restaurant. But the staff was Uber friendly and assured us everything was still up and running. So we order the meatloaf sandwich. I had some reservations. I find meatloaf loaf a dicey dish at some restaurants. More a stock rotation than a great meal. However, the meatloaf was done in a burger patty style and tasted great. The German potato salad was amazing. It was so good we went back for breakfast. I hate breakfast because no one does it right except for one restaurant in the South and now I add East Coast deli as a place I want the breakfast menu instead of the lunch menu at breakfast time. We had their hash and eggs. Being from the South I grew up on canned corned beef hash. It is one of those foods that normally I would find disgusting but I was raised on it. However, after having the hash at East Coast Deli, now I love the stuff in spite of the fact it is a childhood comfort food. They make there hash in house with fresh corned beef and pastrami and it was crispy without being greasy. The eggs were prepared exactly as ordered and were delicious. Definitely a place that has makes loyal customers

We ordered two cold sandwiches with potato salad to eat there. There was one other customer in restaurant. For some reason it took 38 minutes to get our food. But when it finally arrived it was delicious! They make their own potato salad which is rare these days. The sandwiches had lots of meat put on great bread. If they weren't so slow I would rate 5 star.

I had a really great wrap here as recommended by the cashier. The prices here are higher than average, but the food was very good. And it was enough food to split between two lunches, so after that it was reasonably priced. The staff here was very friendly too and I'm sure I'll go back.

Ordered coffee and orange juice. It took 10 minutes to arrive, and once it did, waitress stopped at an empty table, put the tray with our drinks on the empty table, then put her hands on her hips and talked to another waitress about stuff not related to our order. She was 3 feet away with our drinks, which we had already waited 10 minutes for, but would not deliver until I caught the eye of the other waitress and put my hands up as if to say "What the heck?" This caused the other waitress to come to her senses and walk away, prompting our waitress to FINALLY deliver the drinks. She said she brought "kid orange juice" for the 2 children with us. Not getting what the difference was, I asked if that meant they got less. She said, in an abrupt arrogant tone "It MEANS they get it for FREE". Well, nice, but can you say it with kindness? I called her out and told her the tone was not needed. We ordered, ate, and got 1 coffee refill (cups are small). We served ourselves coffee refills a few times, which I would rather not do. As I was leaving with 2 "to go" boxes (PLEASE consider green boxes and stop using Styrofoam) I asked another person behind counter for a bag to carry boxes in as we were walking. She said yes, did a few more things, got the bag in her hands, and starting talking to another staff member...yak, yak, yak. Meanwhile, rest of my party is outside waiting for me. I said "Can you interrupt your convo long enough to hand me the bag?" Good grief, were they all high? What caused so much distraction? Why was talking to a colleague more important than taking care of paying and tipping customers? I see other reviews mentioning service. Owners, please consider some intense training.

It took a little while to get any help, and I did get my to-go order quickly. However, they got the order wrong on my sandwich. I told them exactly what I wanted on it, they put everything on it. I asked for a coffee. I was told there wasn't any made(I guess they didn't want to make a new pot with it being lunch?). I also ordered a tomato soup(no spoon in the bag, of course), and it was the worst tomato soup I've ever had. I will never go back. Too many great places to have lunch downtown.

Came in to get a quick lunch and wasn't even acknowledged once as to if I was dining in or taking it to go. Sat here for 10 minutes then realized I need to approach the clerk by the register to place my order. Then I sat back down for another 5 minutes to still no service as others around me were being helped. I had to approach what seemed to be the "waitress" to ask if there is self serve water since I'm not being helped?!? She replied with oh no, I can get that for you. Not to mention two customers before me got their food served up. What horrible service, I'll be sure to spread the word on this place. Truly disappointing!

I’ve been bringing my family here since 2014. Recently the customer service has been getting worse. Today I brought my wife and family in for Mother’s Day and we had to wait about 15 mins to be seated, mind you there were plenty of open tables, but all of the servers kept passing us by, until finally the hostess came from the back. After she sat us, she immediately sat two families who were behind us. We sat at our table for about ten minutes and no one even acknowledged us. However, the other families had gotten their drink orders taken. When we would try to stop a waiter they would walk right past our table, so we just got up and left. I will never return, and I hope no one is ever treated like this again, especially on Mother’s Day.

Great place if you want some decent east coast food like pastrami sandwiches, matzah ball soup, knishes, latkes and bagels with lox. Their meat is imported in then slow cooked so you get that NY feel and taste. Lunch was crazy busy, yet the food still came quickly and the waitresses were attentive. Can't wait to bring my family back so they can try this hidden little secret too. Allow extra time to find parking as it is street parking on a popular area of Tejon so it can be a challenge to find a spot, but worth it.

Lacking on service, but delicious food! This place has a crazy long menu full of so many options, I was sad I couldn’t just try them all. We split a classic Reuben and man, it was so delicious!! Went one other time and the chef salad is also both delicious and huge. We sat outside and it took a good 10 minutes before anyone came out to see us and it seemed like long times in between as well, so that was the only downside. Go for the 10” chocolate cake...seriously!

I hope the owner realizes that the crew closes this place an hour in a 1/2 early! Doors were locked at 4:35 ! Told us they close at 5 but web sight clearly reads to 6 on weekdays . As we showed the time on cell phone the crew seemed it was a funny matter shrugged their shoulders and laughed . Third attempt at this place never again!!!

I am conflicted on this review. I have always loved this place. But have noticed if you are out on the patio, service can struggle. KNOWING this I went in first and let the counter gal know I was taking a seat outside. I then sat for ten minutes. Lol Then the counter gal drops a menu, and says someone will be with me soon! Um, yeah this is where my drink order should have been taken...? Eventually my server came and was very nice. I sat down at 10:45. My order was taken at 11:00. I have been here so long, the other tables are now empty. Just extremely slow service for no reason. I am dressed in work attire. Not sitting with a book or newspaper. You have to know how to read your customers. 45 minute breakfast overall. Food was great. They just don't watch the patio enough. I kept thinking, where do I go to top off my coffee?? A couple sat down near me....approximately 8 minutes before anyone said hello to them. Speed it up east coast.

I ordered a crispy chicken salad for $11.99 asked to add shredded cheddar cheese and a hard boiled egg and was charged $1.99 for each. I ended up paying $17.29 for a salad. Menu indicates that this salad should be made with fresh mixed greens, instead I got chopped up romaine hearts, which I find disgusting. Menu also says salad should have bacon on it.......it doesn't. If all that's not bad enough my bell peppers are brown. This is definitely a $17.29 giant disappointment. I will not be returning to East Coast Deli, especially when Jack Quins across the street has a better quality salad for the$11.00 price.

We arrived for a refreshing lunch after the morning at the zoo. The deli was pretty busy and we did have to wait longer than we expected for initial service. But once we ordered it didn't take long for our food to arrive and it looked delicious. Let me tell you, it was!!! Our waitress was attentive and the food was very tasty. The prices were a little high we thought but the amount of food we received more than made up for the prices. I took half of my wrap home for supper. We left very satisfied and filled. If we ever return to Colorado Springs, as this was our first visit, we will definitely stop in again.

The food was very good but the service was quite slow. They were busy as it was 11:45 a.m., approaching the noon rush hour, but it took a very long time to get our food. It did not appear to be the food servers fault, but they certainly were not able to keep up with the rush hour. That being said, a serve boar's head deli meat which is very, very good.

The spice it up Omelette was pleasing to the eye and yummy too! It had the perfect amount of jalapenos making it a perfect delicousy for brunch. I was drawn to the deli due to their advertisement about making east coast style bagels. My sesame bagel bought back memories of my youth. The atmosphere reminded me of an old fashioned kosher deli from NYC.

Super disappointed, I picked up an order here if the western Benedict and when I got home realized that there was basically no hollandaise sauce in it. That’s basically the main part on Benedict and paying 12 dollars for the meal would have expected that they would actually out some on there. Definitely feel like I wasted my money.

This place is not worth the price. Ordered the Syracuse special, and it was basically just a massive pile of meat stacked inside 50% of the sandwich with nothing but bread around it. The salad included a single giant quarter slice of tomato. Also added a $3 side of potato salad that was provided in such a small quantity I could eat it in 2 spoonfuls.

From what my friend said about the fish & chips, it's decent. Not as tasty as what he expected for the cod, however the fries were pretty good

Food is very good. Prices are on the higher side but is very good and had generous portions. Pleasant atmosphere and located downtown.

Whenever my dad is in town he insists on going to east coast deli! by far the best sandwich place I have ever been too. The staff is really great and hardworking. The only problem was the last time I was there the gentleman serving our table was running back and forth from the kitchen to the tables to keep up. I greatly appreciated his hardwork. Maybe another server would be nice.

The only reason I am giving this place two stars is because the food is actually really good. What angered me is how they have prices posted on the wall that are wrong. This is a misleading way to do business and it just simply angers customers. When I brought the price difference from what I was charge, to what was posted on the wall to the attention of staff, the woman didn't seem to really have any concern about it. Very poor customer service. Because of this, I will never return. How hard can it be to take a sign down, or update the increases? Not very. This establishment is obviously Lackidaisical.

They have the "BEST" Roast beef sandwiches I've ever had....as well as their potato salad. You better be hungry when you go....the portions are huge!

Food is delish, service is good, great take home foods as well. Charged us for cream cheese on the bagel($.99) and the side of onion ($.99). Feels like bagels should come with cream cheese and a buck for a few slices of onion feels exorbitant.

Took my Dad here for lunch yesterday, one of our favorite places to get Corn Beef sandwiches, they are delicious here!! Food was excellent, as always and our waitress, Eve, was such a great, attentive, waitress. She has a great attitude, with a smile on her face and in her heart. Thanks for a great experience at East Coast Deli, again!!

Over priced with mediocre food quality. They falsified my tip amount for a larger amount, in which I had to call and dispute the charges. They refused to answer my calls or return my calls. Luckily my credit card company reversed the charges. Check your credit cards to make sure you're not overcharged.... I do not recommend.
