As you know, we do not usually stop to give scores when they are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Fish Shop is included in the category of Mexican restaurant.
good but overpriced tacos. ceviche was a big serving but also overpriced
We were seated immediately despite it being a little crowded. The service and food was very good. It's definitely a nice place to eat in Sausalito if you're looking for something casual
Delicious Baja fish burrito — great portion size, balanced flavor, not too much rice and/or beans (i.e. not full of fillers), house made chips with flavorful salsas and a bottle of crema on the table. Awesome. The Arnold Palmers are great but they brought us another check when we ordered a couple to go because their menu makes it look like they are bottomless. 4 well-earned stars.
Real character, very lively and a great menu. It is quite rustic, which I like. I was served a huge fish burrito, which was delicious, washed down with Pacifico Clara beers and a few margaritas. What's not to like?
Great drinks and food, very relaxed atmosphere, and the wait staff is almost too friendly - get a pitcher of Sangria and enjoy the beautiful Sausalito weather
The food was amazing, and the watermelon margarita was perfect on a super hot day.
Outside patio is dog friendly, friendly staff and great food. Our go-to spot in Salsalito
The food wasn't that great and the service matched the food. We felt rushed when we were graced with a server's presence. The food was drowned in a thin red sauce and when I asked for a roasted pepper, I was told there are only jarred peppers on site. I can get a more authentic meal from Taco Bell. The view from the deck was nice.
I liked the chips though you had to pay. It was the blandest taco I have ever had. Still it was a taco so I didn't hate it, but I would not return. The guac looks like the squeeze tub stuff.
Loved it!
The food was pretty good for the area that it is in....the price though was ridiculously expensive.....2 tacos rice and beans 1 horchata where I live would cost about $10.00...here though it was double that and the tortillas were not even homemade....now I realize this is a touristic place and prices are alot higher but dang talk about location location
Great location and great tasting authentic Mexican food ... waitress was a little off and didn't seem to be able to figure out how to best seat us without splitting us up which we obviously weren't going to do ... the solution was simple but she couldn't see it. Drinks weren't great either bit of mixed bag really as some were nice others were awful especially their homemade passionfruit iced tea which tasted nothing like passionfruit.
All I can say is you made a new England girl happy with this taco shop!
Cute cozy taco shop with good food and kind service.
Nice location, nachos pretty good, better than main course. Although location is good, quality of food does not justify the high prices.
Amazing food, wonderful atmosphere, great location, you get what you pay for, $$$$.
Fantastic green and red sauce, top notch service.
Nice, very nice place
Good service, good food, recommended
Even I can cook better than this
preferred mexican restaurant in sausalito
Best Mexican food! Their guacamole is delicious as well as the rest of their food. Definitely recommend!
they bait you into buying chips by putting salsa on the table. The salsa looks good but has literalky no flavor. Salsa roja tastes like campbells tomato soup. Salsa verde taste like water. The ceviche was 95 percent tomato and 5 percent fish. Service was ok but very slow. Would not recommend
Small place, good food.
Very expensive tacos. 61.00 for two people. Most expensive tacos I have ever had and they were not that good. They charged 5.00 for the chips most places give you. 2.00 extra just to add a little sour cream. Terrible experience. Tourist trap.
Delicious! And so friendly!
Super cool Location, good Tacos!
Best Mexican food North of Cozumel. We very much enjoyed the fish tacos and the burritos..If you want the perfect place to take a date or just want a relaxing meal this is the destination. And the service was A+
The food and drinks were fast and delicious! The Molé sauce was the best I've had north of México. The staff was super friendly. This is the only place I've ever been that actually offered us drinks while we waited for a table. Visiting from Seattle, but will definitely return any time we come back to the Bay Area!
Nice food and drinks. Could be crowded at busy times and you need to wait to be seated. Still very very good.
The food is okay. Nothing crazy. Service was pretty fast and they do have margaritas. Outdoor stealing is comfortable. The waiter was helpful with my family who are not familiar with the food but after a while got impatient.
Precisely the tacos I was craving! Ceviche is very good too.
Had a fabulous lunch here! The pork burrito with chipotle cream and spicy beans is amazing! Would definitely come back!
Good Carne Asada and fish tacos. the chicken not that good.
Wonderful location and vibe, friendly and helpful staff and great tacos. I can especially recommend the fish tacos
I’d been going to this adorable taco shop for years but on the past 2 visits it was a real disappointment. I’m not sure if there’s been a change in ownership or management but the quality of the food has gone way downhill. They lovely guacamole they used to make fresh is now replaced by a grey mush from Costco - not even the good guacamole from Costco. The chips were stale and the pile on the tacos is low. It’s so obvious that someone is trying to cut costs but keeping prices high. You definitely don’t get what you pay for here. Sad to see this place dwindle :(
We loved this authentic place. We biked from San Francisco and wanted to grab a bite and found this cute restaurant. The service was quick, the menu had a lot of options and the food was tasty. I took the 3 shrimp lettuce tacos and it was filling enough but no too heavy since we were biking back. Enjoy!
Charming cottage with indoor and outdoor seating on bustling Bridgeway Avenue. Varied menu offers Mexican classics from fish tacos to full combination plates. Spicy beans are popular along with faux margaritas. Wine and beer only. Tasty chips, guacamole and salsas.
Unfortunately, the overpriced food here really was nowhere near as flavorful as it ought to have been. Also, the tortilla chips were hard as rocks.
Quick service, good food and great vibe. I’ll definitely be back if I’m in Sausalito.
Everything was so delicious!
Friendly place.
We were visiting the Bay Area and decided to check this place out. We loved it! I have Celiac's and was grateful for the many gluten free options. My wife got a smothered bean and cheese burrito and I got the tacos de cochinita. It's been about 2 months and we're still craving it! Too bad we don't live around there or we'd go all the time.
I eat here every time I am in Sausalito! little cute mexican food place.
Amazing burritos! Really friendly and accommodating staff. Relaxed atmosphere, a really nice place to hang out, eat, and chat
Great food; simple, unpretentious decor and prices.
The picadillo de pescado was absolutely delicious. I was in the mood for fish tacos, and this hit the spot.
Gorgeous and fresh Mexican food. Very friendly staff and all around amazing place to chill.
Great place for Mexican food. The staff is very nice and helpful. We went on a busy Sunday with a group of 7 people but the way was only 10 minutes and the food was served very quickly. Can't go wrong!
Very chill place to have good food and drinks
Super cute place near the water in Sausalito. My chicken tacos were very good! They have outdoor seating on the front patio and offer essence water while you wait for a table. However, there was no wait when I went. Easy to find parking across the street.
Great place to eat! Staff are so friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend.
We had the Chipotle corn chowder which was one of their specials for the day. Was very good and had a little bit of a kick to it but not too much. Chips we're just okay and you have to pay for them. They came to the table cold and a little bit greasy, but the salsas were tasty.
One word..."yummo"!! Make a pit stop if your in the neighborhood
Been coming here 5 years every time in town, same people working here same high quality fish tacos, and watermelon margaritas!! It's a 5 on that all day!! Didn't care for beef or chicken tacos or fajitas but then again I like a more sloppy street tacos with really hot make your lungs warm salsa and burnt fajitas I get in at la plaza Mexico in wahnetta Florida for 1 dollar!
It's an amazing tiny place to eat! The ambience is brilliant - so different and the colors give you a slight feel of Mexico. The food was great as well
Not that great for the price
Great food and service.
Nice area in SF
This place was packed and for good reason. Everything about this place. Was great! We sat at the bar and were basically in the kitchen which was super fun. The music and vibe really reminded me of Miami. Get the fish tacos they are incredible!
Best fish taco and chiladas
Great food, fun little atmosphere in an upscale dive kind of way. I've had lots of things on the menu -- all great. Only recommendation is to NOT fill up on chips - they are made there and they are heavy. Outdoor seating is lovely.
Mmmmmmmmm
Good food and good service but expensive and pulled a shady move at the register. Tab was $107 and they added a 20% tip automatically then when they printed out my copy to sign it showed 137$ and had a gratuity line to add more, I didn't check the receipt so I added another tip on top of the 20%.
The food is good, not great, but very overpriced
Good food and excellent service!! Will be going back when we visit Sausalito.
Good food, good service.
Good tacos, better chips!
Always Amazing!
Colourful decor, excellent tacos and fast service
Amazing fish tacos! Crispy fish and great flavors.
Cosy booth right along the boulevard
The owners are very friendly service was a bit slow but the time i was there it was really packed so can't blame them for that. The food was really good had some stake tacos rice and beans food was great. My only complaint is price, wow is it expensive we had 9 tacos 3 drinks came out to 93 bucks otherwise great place close to the ocean great people
Nice small shop with delightful mexican dishes. Option to sit outside.
Wife said best fish tacos she's ever had, mine were so-so.. fast service
Tasty tacos, quick service
Kids loved the bean burritos, wife and I had the salsa and guacamole. Nice place.
Food was okay, a little overpriced, but great location and great service
Great atmosphere :) And delicious food.
Perfect spot to eat after riding bicycles from San Fran. Amazing food, friendly people. Final bill surprised me a bit as rice, beans, guac, chips are all extra items that add up quickly... $40 for lunch a little steep, but I'd do it again.
A little expensive, being in Sausalito. Food is good, though. Be aware that if you're asked if you want "chips and guacamole" when you sit down, that that is a $10 menu item, and not complimentary.
Great find just further on from the main shops and restaurants. Good selection, v friendly staff and good for gluten free and veggie.
Very fresh, and very good. Crab and shrimp tostito was amazing.
Delicious food, great service. The food is pricey. 55 bucks for 2 sodas, a taco, and an enchilada.
Steak
Great food and great view. P.S. They use paper straws!!
So glad we ran into this place. Fast, friendly, great music /atmosphere. The food was different from the typical Mexican faire-- we loved it!!!
Don’t be fooled by the cute ambiance. Ceviche was awful!! It was prepackaged salsa with precooked shrimp thrown in and some cucumbers for $17. Tortilla soup was broth with a ball of cheese at the bottom of the bowl, and if you want avocado and chicken in it, it will cost you $11 for a cup of soup! Prices were extremely high, and they are obviously cutting corners all over the place.
Pretty good Tacos....do the take away....its much faster
A hidden gem in Sausalito. Ok, not so hidden since it's on the main tourist street. The food is really good. I loved the way the menu was written in different colors to indicate vegetarian and sea food dishes. The pico de gallo and guacamole were so fresh. Really friendly wait staff.
Great price, food and service are good, would comeback again.
Very good food and customer service.. nice decoration and ambience.
We were visiting from Chicago and stumbled upon this eatery. This place is just as cute as a button. The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable of the menu items- our food was delivered very quickly and quite delicious too! We will definitely eat here again during future visits!!
Today I tried the chicken taco and the beef taco, they we're incredible! The waiter magdaleno was super nice, the decorations are beautiful! Everything is amazing!
Very good but pricey
Shrimp ceviche was good, and tacos were fine (we got a fish taco and a chicken taco). Not impressed with the rice and beans. Service was good and they gave the kids little chalk boards to draw on while we waited for our food.
Great fresh food.gappy atmosphere.
Had the fajitas they were cooked in a delicious garlic wine sauce. Top that off with two carafes of margaritas and you've got yourself a great day.
Wonderful, fun, and relaxing atmosphere. The service was excellent and fast during a very busy time. The fish tacos were very tasty! It is a nice, open air restaurant with friendly servers.
Love this place. Friendly staff, instant service, great fish tacos, always feels like you are on vacation. I recommend the wet burrito with chipotle crema, the homemade crema is delicious and I believe they fry their own tortilla chips every morning. A plus: lots of vegetarian options and ingredient are all responsibly sourced.
Super yummy and I love the decor. Service was friendly and good.
Not my idea of Mexican food. Bland
Great service and very good food.
Over priced and not great quality... service was good but go somewhere else if you want good food
Great food, fun decor
This is a decorative place with seating inside or out. The food was very good. The downside is that it is also pricey. Most places give you a basket of chips and salsa. Here that cost $5. Six-inch tacos are about $5. I ordered a big donkey burrito to split with another. The burrito was about the size of a double-sized spring roll. Maybe they gave me the little donkey. Once ordered, the food comes quickly. However, the waiter was not that attentive so it was difficult to get his attention.
Decided to stop in with family for a few appetizers and drinks and our server Gabrielle was beyond rude and disrespectful I am highly disappointed. He aggressively gave us our drinks, took things off the table without asking, I chose to change my order for another item and he rolled his eyes and began to mistreat myself and my family. As the check came he practically just threw the check on the table, to my surprise 2 appetizers and 3 drinks was $70 you would expect a high tab to have respectable service. I will never give my money to this establishment nor reccomend this place to anyone visiting Sausalito.
Try the chicken stuffed chile reno delicious!
love it here! have to go almost every weekend..great, accommodating service, color-coded menu, tasty food. great corn and black bean enchiladas, burritos, and chips and salsa
Feels like a beach taco stand in Cabo. Caribbean music, fresh guacamole, and lots of fish taco options. A little out of place in the middle of Sausalito, but it's fun!
Real good food!!
Chile relleno sauce tasted like it was paste right out of the can
Pro tip: wait for an inside table or go look at the open bar seating as it has heating and music. The pescado taco (fried fish) was Great! Also the drinks were awesome. Guacamole was good. But not worth $10 in my opinion
Tasty tacos and Cali Mule...Just day no to dairy....enjoy
Great host, very good food
Great food, good spot. Had a great brunch here (sans breakfast food)
Great food but can talk a bit for the food to come
EXCELLENT FOOD & SERVICE
Food was yummy. Service was good too.
Best burrito ever! Especially after a long cycle
My favorite Mexican food in the Bay Area. Anytime that I go to Sausalito I end up eating here. It’s like a unique place difficult to find these days with so many franchises and their ridiculous prices. The staff is friendly, food is amazing, the guacamole is incredible and the cocktails are great. The location is really good too, close to everything in town. Things that I don’t like: there is only 1 bathroom for everyone and it gets really hot in there and you have to wait for long time. It’s usually busy and loud and it’s difficult sometimes to enjoy the food and have a conversation.
Amazing gluten free food and very authentic Mexican feel about the place
The special spicy watermelon margarita was amazing as was the taco soup.
Great tacos!!!
We drove across the bridge to eat at this restaurant because of it's nice photos and good reviews, so it was to our surprise when things turned sour. We experienced what others have in the lower reviews to a "T"!. Rude server's, taking our plates before we we're done, Crazy high prices, for basic bland food. They give you salsa but you have to buy the chips for $10, server plopping down the bill, without any follow up "can I get you anything else?" I could go on and on...we refused to pay the 18% gratuity for awful service. Then since we didn't get a to-go box for our over priced BRC burrito, I wrapped the burrito in a napkin and as I was walking out to my car the owner came out and made a snarky comment about taking to many napkins. Such a cute Lil taco spot but would highly not recommend eating here for Service, Taste or Price!!
Very good food! It comes at a premium though because it's in a tourist area.
I recommend the carne asada taco but the quesadilla was average Two tacos one beer and quesadillas $31 this place is pricey Cool decor and outside seating was superb
Really good fish tacos! Loved the thick chips and salsa too, as well as great guacamole. This place has friendly service and outdoor seating, which allowed us to sit with our dog on the sidewalk.
Great place to be. Quick and friendly service and awesome food. The burritos are extraordinary. Definitely worth to stop when in Sausalito.
This is a vibrant looking place, small but cozy. But it is flawed in 2 ways. Firstly, they rush you off your table. Secondly, and most critically, this is the blandest Mexican food I've ever tasted. I can make better myself.
Tight space but quick and good food.
Great Mexican food and service
Terrible place to be, tasteless and bland food!! Making fool of people in the name of calling it authentic food! I'd better have chipotle anyday, rather than eating this!
The place is nice enough but the food is really overpriced for what you get to eat in terms of quantity AND quality. Not a pleasant experience ....
Fantastic mex food. Best choice when you are waiting for the ferry.
Best Tacos ever! My son got a burrito instead and it is at least as awesome as the Tacos. Good price and greatest Mexican food, a place not to miss around SF
Loved that place. It looks very simple and small, but the food is delicious.
Excellent service! Delicious food
Cute little place that we stumbled upon. Bright colours, friendly staff and decent food. Would have loved a little bit more kick to the food bit otherwise everything was tasty.
More than amazing. Incredible. The food is more than great, the attention is really good. I don't drink alcohol, but the margarita was really good. I really recommend it.
Good food and service
Very sincere Mexican restaurant. Loved the tacos. Garliic shrimp are to die for.
Love the guac and the carne asada tacos!
Great food and great service!
A nice meal with my wife and daughter. Enjoyed it.
This place was so cute! Waiters were very friendly and the food was delicious. Being from south Texas we love our tacos and these tacos are legit very good.
Cool spot. Great food. Fast, efficient, friendly staff!! We love Salsalito Taco
Great food. Fast and pleasant service. Some open air dining tables.
We had the big donkey Baja fish style and the big donkey shrimp style good cheap price huge.
Good, great artichoke, lack of excitement from service to food,
Ok food but nothing more. Nice location though. But will not return
Friendly service. The greatest nachos ever. The enchiladas are also pretty tasty.
I've always loved the food and have some great memories at this little taco shop in Sausalito. Surf n Turf tacos are my favorite!
Decent spot for grub after a hike.
AT THE BEGINNING I THOUGH THIS PLACE WAS OK BUT AFTER A FEW HOURS LATER IM HAVING SECOND THOUGHTS VERY BAD CHOICE OF FOOD ABD VERY EXPENSIVE
Love these folks! Such good tacos. Wonderful lunch spot after biking in Marin. Easy to keep an eye on the bikes from the patio.
Best fish tacos ever! The fresh limeade was great as well. Efficient friendly staff & beautiful area.
They have a lot of vegetarian options but the food is okay. You can tell the chips aren't fresh and nothing special about the Mexican flavors. But appreciated the outside seating, assortment of hot sauces and friendly service. Great if you're driving through Sausalito!
