REVIEWS OF Pier Market IN California

carmi murine

Fried calamari excellent and nice dining atmosphere.

Cristina Leyva

Food is so good. The service is great. Servers are on top even if it's busy

Lovepeacehappiness Isthekeytolife

The city is beautiful at the food is outstanding ! I love it when I’m in San Francisco, the culture and the views is something that I cannot explain. Even though we had to wait in line a little more than expected, this is one of my most favorite places to visit when I’m in San Francisco. I also have a few relatives that live in the city, so I am very much Acquainted. I will most definitely be doing more reviews of the future as I visit

Vytautas Morkūnas

Food just ok. Smaller portions than elsewhere, quite costly too. Place looks a bit chaotic..

Paula Hartmann

Excellent food, excellent service. Thank you Ashley. Highly recommend.

Ke Garira

Really loved the food and the service. Very lively

Björn Bekkouche

Ok food for the price. Gor a plate of cold food (I'm not the complaining guy, this was cold), and got a new one after my girlfriens was done with her plate. No compensation or what so ever.. won't be going back. 2 star is for the great bartender that knew about surströmming! ;-) get some beer there, no food! Edit for answer: We were there saturday the 10th of august.

jean christophe turpault

We had a great experience at this place This is the third time I come to this place for dinner Every time dinner was excellent Thanks

Good food, misleading menu prices. We visited on 3/27/2019, and had Seafood Penne, Jambalaya and the BBQ Salmon Sandwich as well as the garlic bread appetizer. The BBQ salmon sandwich was very tasty and so was the garlic bread and fries. The Seafood Penne was a little too fishy for my taste and the Jambalaya lacked seasoning. The staff was responsive and professional and the ambiance nice. The location was on Pier 39 so we expected inflated prices due to the location. However, for the food we received the menu prices were very acceptable. However, when we received our bill the restaurant added a 5% “Employee Benefits Ordinance Surcharge.” When asked the manager explained that it was due to the City of San Francisco requiring employers to provide certain benefits to all employees that work more than 10 hours per week and that “rather than raising menu prices” they had decided to add a surcharge. I asked for and searched the menu and found no mention of this surcharge what-so-ever. This pricing strategy is misleading and deceitful.

Wael Aboul Hosn

Out in Pier 39 my group was very interested in having the jambalaya. We saw that this restaurant had indoor seating and we were sold as it was a little chilly and windy out. The clam chowder did not disappoint! The perfect thing for the weather that day. The service was excellent (we were told it would be a 10 minute wait and it was less than 5). Most importantly, it was lunch with quite the view. You can see the pier where the sea lions lounge, the water, and of course the Golden Gate Bridge from the large restaurant windows. It was a great way to spend an afternoon.

Kenneth Norton

A top place for seafood. Filled me up. Fast, efficient, and courteous service. The place has a nice feel to it.

To Da

8/6/2019- Food does not have much taste, way overpriced, small servings but excellent customer service thanks to Victoria, our waitress.

Jade Selke

The service was wonderful, we had a window view, and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. The waiter was very attentive, and brought us extra plates for sharing. Two of us shared a bowl of clam chowder and a mixed grill fish plate. Both were so good. We also shared a mixed drink with orange and pineapple juice, and it was quite strong. The star of the meal was the grilled salmon, some of the best I've ever had.

Abryha Barboan

Good food. Good view. Perfect tourist spot. Smaller cheaper menu options available at the little cafe to-go spot outside the restaurant. Perfect for a quick bite if you don't want to have table side service. Getting seated was a little awkward as a few parties that arrived after us got seated before us. Service in the beginning was a little slow but ultimately turned out good.

Alberto Alcala

Great service and food. Prices were not bad either.

Amanda Jones

The Fisherman's Platter and the Salmon Salad are a great deal for the large amount of food. The service was also excellent.

Lia Ossanna

Was seated and served very quickly with a nice view of the pier. Excellent clam chowder and strawberry lemonade! Would definitely recommend.

Noel Rangel

Best Clam Chowder I have ever had! Hands down!!!! I would give 5 but the service ruined the experience.

Upendar Reddy Yerabolu

I wish I could give less than 1 star. But unfortunately can’t. Please eat somewhere else. Food is terrible, but pricy. Terrible terrible food.

MLB

Not good at all. The fried seafood platter was very heavily breaded and greasy: a piece of unidentified fish, calamari that was unrecognizable, and 4 shrimp. $21.95. The bread was hard & served cold. We were very disappointed in the reviews and the food. We should have suspected something when the platter was served less than 10 minutes after ordering. Very busy and loud, but that was expected going close to sunset.

the weeb

Excellent food, atmosphere, and wait staff. We had Mo as a waiter and he was spot on with menu suggestions and head a super sense of humor!

A Cash

Not a tourist trap, good food for acceptable prices. Great staff (bartender)

Troy Clem

I was seated fast and the service was excellent. Fish and chips were delicious and clam chowder in a bread bowl was above average. Their pier market larger was just OK, but they had plenty of quality beer and wine on the menu.

Bailey Fackrell

Best food we had while in San Francisco for the price!! The waitress was lovely and the location is perfect for sitting outside!

Jonathan Kilpatrick

Meghan took care of us today and she was legitimately the best. I couldn't have asked for a better waiter. Also the food was good.

Reggie Bryant

The fish was grilled whole with the stuffing which made for a nice smokey flavor. The fish was cooked perfectly with minimal bones considering the fish came whole with head and tail still attached. The dish also came with a sauce of crunchy remoulade sauce but you didn't need it.

Loui Lo

Me and My fiance came here for a dinner and received very good service from the personnel. Most importantly the food was really good and the prices more than fair.

Chad Gaines

I love this place. Great fresh fish cooked on the grill. Beautiful views of the bay and the Golden Gate bridge.

Elizabeth Diaz

The grilled swordfish and mahi mahi,,,,,life changing. From beginning to end the experience was surreal and when visiting again will be my first stop

Anneiv Esqui

Mediocre food for sure.. Service was disappointing..Place was busy and packed during our visit but our server always misses us most of time we have to make several attempts to call for attention from out server.. Small servings for expensive meal. We were serve pieces of crab and small bowl of clam shells with no distinctive flavors.. The fried seafood platter was just ok. Nothing really memorable and exciting.

Susan Ryan

Great food, fast service and super friendly waitress!

Gammie Le

We stopped in here for a quick bite while taking a rest from walking down the pier. Of course we had to order the clam chowder in bread bowl! It’s a must have! And a side of garlic fries. The fries were so garlicky and crispy. Delish. (Just don’t kiss anyone after haha) The calm chowder was yummy but my only complaint was the bread bowl. It was super stale for some reason. I like a crustier bread. I like the crunch and crispness. Overall it was a good snack! Needed the energy for more walking around the pier. Patio seating was nice on a sunny day. Service was great and prompt. Pretty legit place to dine!

Tony Taurone

This was a great environment with fantastic service. The claim chowder was beyond amazing, no skimping on the meat. Good options to drink. The bartender was super accommodating to requests. Definitely check out this gem!

T Nguyen

I went on a Wednesday late afternoon and still crowded. However, they were able to seat me by the window. Overall, decent food. No complaints.

Zohaib Abbasi

Food was good but nothing amazing. Had the seafood penne, it was supposed to be creamy but came out pretty dry, I told them about this so they got me some creamy sauce on the side and that helped. Good service, large portion

Gib .

The Pier Market is an exceptionally well run restaurant - I suspect it either starts with the automated ordering system the servers use to initiate the meal preparation process, or the training and dedication of the management and staff. Our meals arrived very quickly so they were hot and tasty. Service was friendly and attentive, and we received requests for more beverages as we consumed ours. The restaurant was very busy which made the experience all the more pleasant and surprising that everything went so well. Definitely a positive experience worth a strong recommendation.

Marco Wirjadi

Delicious clam chowder soup and crab cake. Reasonable price, good vibe and view, nice service. One of must eat list at Pier 39.

Meghan Brace

Good food. Crab and shrimp sandwich is great, grilled chicken was excellent, fried shrimp and fish and chips were great also. Chowder was ok.. lots of clams, but a little thinner consistency than our family would prefer. Overall, a good place for a tasty meal on the Pier.

Kisan Dhumal

It's a beautiful seashore in San Francisco. There are also best bars & restaurants to have meals .

Dodie Webber

Great place and they are pet friendly which is very nice as we always travel with are dogs.

Angel Hull

One of my top locations for quality Seafood. Stopped in on a Monday I think. This place has a great atmosphere. Kinda of like a cafe in Phoenix that I enjoyed.

Shierly Saiff

Good portion of seafood plate. We love this rest so much. We keep coming here when we are in Fisherman Wharf. My hubby loves their oysters

James Martin

The food, service and location are excellent. My family and I came here for a late dinner and we were seated promptly. The server was attentive and the food came out unbelievably fast. Would recommend for any traveler. Also has great views of the seals!

ezra Vizcarra

Really great experience just a little busy but other than that it's good

Road cruzr

Service is good. Food was very fresh. A bit loud inside.

Bobby Richardson

If you like seafood..on the west coast the rivals the Northeast this is the place.

Alex Bernauer

Unimpressed. Got the clam chowder in a bread bowl (would have gone to Chowders, but it was packed; I suppose I should have done so anyway) and the bread was barely hollowed out so there was hardly any soup in it. The bread itself was good. The side salad was super small and not even that good. All in all super disappointing. Need to find a place to have a good chowder in a sourdough bowl. Maybe I'll try Chowders again next time in San Francisco.

Fisher Briggs

Pier market restaurant has the best clam chowder you can get anywhere along the pier and they also have a great salmon on bannock sandwich. The salmon was literally the best I ever had. Since my first going here I have made a trip to San Francisco every two to three months just to eat there. You will not be disappointed if you eat there. Truly gourmet!!!!

Maktha Samket

First time here, but it did not disappoint. Food is tasty and flavorful. Service was excellent and friendly. I must say it does get busy so prepare yourself for a small wait, but I will say it is worth your wait. I loved it, my six year old loved, and my grandmother.

Elisio Sapata

The oysters had an off flavor and didn’t come across as fresh (I would not recommend ordering the oysters). The crab cakes were more like cod cakes, and the halibut was over cooked. I came a long way to enjoy some seafood, I didn’t find it here. I would recommend trying a different restaurant.

Brad Rose

Fresh fish. Pretty good. Coleslaw was excellent with a touch of horseradish.

Christopher Schmidt

No wait, prompt friendly service, & excellent food. Prices are very reasonable considering you’re getting fresh, commercially responsible seafood.

Wesley Lee

Nice Burger and tasty fries so that I accedentally order too much fries and just cannot finish them. I'll come back again when I visit Fishermen Warf.

Tom Shelton

Price is high. The mesquite seasoning is good on the salmon but not on the shrimp and cod. The shrimp and cod were very dry with bad flavor. Nice location with good views. Staff was very nice.

Randy Lau

Obviously a very busy place in the heart of Pier 39. The wait isn't that long, usually around 30 minutes with no reservation, but there is a take out counter that was very popular. The food is typical of what you'd get in this high touristy area. The clam chowder was excellent along with the great boudin sourdough bread, the rest of the food was okay, a bit overpriced and not really that great. The lobster tails were heavily over seasoned so you could barely taste them. The service wasnt great, I know its busy, but it was hard to flag the waiter down when we needed something like more water. This is one of those quintessential places you eat at Pier 39, so you have to expect it caters more to the tourist crowd.

Brevan Shupe

Food was great! Service was decent. The only downfall was serving size for the price.

Eric DeMello

Clam chowder in a sour dough bread bowl was amazing. Very good staff. A relatively short wait for a table. Recommend reserving a table with Yelp ahead if time. Great views of all the seals sunning on the piers. Lots of nearby shops.

Vlad Nesterenko

If you plan to go to pier 39 to watch sea lions and then get some food then I really recommend to stop by to Pier Market. Food is gorgeously delicious and prices are reasonable. If you park on pier 39 parking don’t forget to mention it to you waiter and you’ll get 1 hour of parking waived.

Manuel

Busy place, a lot to see! Good spots for pictures of California seal, Alcatraz island and Golden gate bridge. An acrobatic show was offered at the little plaza.

Yolanda Fley

Great service from Chad! It was a busy Saturday but the staff kept everything flowing smoothly. I had the fish and chips as well as the clam chowder and calamari for appetizers. All were excellent but the calamari was most memorable!

Theresa de Alejandro

Food was good.Service was great! Right in the heart of the Wharf so very crowded. Did not disappoint.

cwilliams624 .

Ashley the bartender was great! Thanks again for helping me find something I like....

sheena cortez

Came down for a family day at the pier and had to stop in for a bite to eat. I have to say all of the food that we ordered was absolutely amazing and all of the staff was super friendly. I'd love to give two formal formal shout outs. One to the manager Nick, he was helping out and talking with guests which is rare to see and definitely a great quality in a manager. Second to Mo who was our server, he not only interacted with my husband and I but also with my 3 children. He was definitely one of the best servers we have ever had, smiling, very attentive, and gave suggestions that were amazing, like putting my crab on my salad instead of straight into my bread bowl. Great job both of you!!

Tiffany Chan

Very busy restaurant. If you want to sit down and take a break from the wharf’s hustle, it’s a good spot. Grilled trout was pretty good - had a smoky taste. Didn’t like the batter on the fish and chips but fish tasted fresh. Fried calamari were thick and tender.

Ramya Sindhusha

Nice place to spend ur entire evening. My kid loved watching sea lions .We can find a wide variety of Sea food which tasted great. Also have little kids rides and Arcade play area where kids can have fun.

Brianna Mims

Crowded, but the food was good. A little pricey, but they do have good portions as well as a few items under 15 dollars. We waited 20 minutes. Service was pleasant. I enjoyed the clam chowder in a bread bowl. It's very close to the sea lions.

Vevelombez .

I had greater expectations for the food at the prices they were set at, but I was a bit let down when I actually tasted certain foods including the fish and chips. However, the clam chowder in bread is one of the best choices of food in this area. Another detail to also keep in mind is that the view from the pier is very nice, so take pictures. I do recommend going here to eat and to spend time with friends and family, but remember to choose which foods to buy because you don't want to let your money go to waste.

Taylor Cramer

Had an amazing lunch at this wonderful restaurant along the wharf. Friendly service. Great menu. Prices were very reasonable. Try the clam chowder. Might be the best out there. Can just get a cup or in a sourdough bread bowl. We did the cup as the restaurant gives you sourdough bread...which was incredible. Fried shrimp were plump and breading was delicious. Crab meat cocktail and oysters were also excellent.

Anthony Robinson

The food is amazing. I could no believe the presentation. The restrooms were the cleanest I've seen. The manager Stephani was beyond helpful and friendly.

Konamaneti Sreenivasa Reddy.

Good taste. Neat hotel and interior. A bit over priced.

Spencer Erwin

Service was good. Food wasn't bad but not much to write about. The best thing I had was the clam chowder in the sourdough bread bowl... really good

Lee James

We had the shrimp medley, clam chowder in sourdough and apple crisp. All of the food was absolutely delicious and well priced for the quality.

Kiana Flores

The service- or rather lack thereof- was down right disrespectful. My grandfather and I waited over 10 minutes for someone to come take our order. Others were being seated around us and were being waited on almost immediately or within the first two minutes. Where was our waiter/waitress? Not a single person came to our table from the time we sat down to the time we got up and walked out. No hostess at the front to complain to either. Wait staff were literally standing around chatting with one another. I made eye contact with a few but they pretended not to notice &/or kept walking. Incredibly upsetting. I understand it's a busy place but a simple acknowledgement and promise to be with us shortly would have made me feel so much better; I wouldn't have minded waiting if someone would have just made us feel validated. What a shame. So very disappointed. On the bright side, there is a plethora of other wonderful establishments in the vicinity with much better service to dine at. Edit: I would like to say that the hostess was kind, though and seated us immediately.

Alexander C.

The garlic in the garlic crab dish were not fresh. The fried calamari tasted like from a frozen package. The fisherman platter only had 3 shrimps in it. Fried shrimps were butterfly cut. The grilled chicken sandwich did not look appetizing. However, the restroom r well maintained.

Melissa5 Aragon

This place has amazing food. Came back a couple times while in town and would reccomended to anyone debating which seafood place to go. The 1st time the service was less than mediocre but the 2nd time made up for it. The manager was very polite and the server we had the next visit was completely on top of it.

Alma Penaranda

The customer service was great. The claim chowder bread bowl is delicious and the fish trio plate is divine. Definitely a must if you are on the area

Allen Watson

We stopped here for lunch on the Pier. You get a lot of food!! We ordered dungeonous crab, caesar salad, chowder, pork sandwich, garlic fries, salmon and drinks. We were very happy we ate here! The place was very busy, but the service was excellent and the food fantastic! Total bill was $138 for four people not including the gratuity. Keep that in mind.Great food and service and a great location overlooking Pier 39 and the bay. The fish mixed grill was great and my 12 yr old daughter raved about the calamari. We would go back!

Patrícia Dutra

It’s a pleasant place and our waitress, SITORA, she was amazing, knowledgeable and gave us a lot of attention. The crab cake is delicious! You need to try it.

Lucy Awesome

very fresh food! the waitress was very nice and sweet. the food was delicious, i ordered the fisherman’s platter. it was really good and a perfect serving size for two! very good place for family lunch or dinner. oh, and the lava cake was delicious

Harish Adhikesavan

Great service and good food. The drinks were pretty good as well.

Rod O. T

Great food! Pleasant surprise, being on a súper touristic location! Great service

Lillie Anne

Very busy! Great food, nice staff.

Robin Spencer

35 minute wait to get in but worth it. Food and service were excellent. My wife had the crab and I had the Fisherman's mixed grill. All delicious and cooked perfectly. A little expensive but worth it. My only complaint was that it had a very loud crowd making it hard to talk. Beautiful night view of the harbour.

mary zamora

Super cool place! You can see Alcatraz from here

YouAloneRHoly .

Got a table of 8 without waiting during very busy lunch hours should tell us something about this place. Huge mistake. Service was good but food was not.

Elizabeth C

Beautiful view and good food. Tables are kinda packed together.

Andrew Spring

Great food. Great service

Jon Wollenberg

Bread bowl made from sourdough bread, need I say more? Staff was awesome and quick. Beer took a while to get to the table but that was because they were changing the kegs at the time. I had a hamburger, it was a good hamburger but nothing over the top.

Sandi Ebeltoft

Excellent food, great service, wonderful views! Can’t ask for more!!

Erik Suwandy

Best claim chowder in town. I have this since 1997 and till today, still super good.

Ness Velez

We had bar service, which was okay.. the waitress is flirtatious.. as most young bartenders are.. clam chowder was okay(I wouldn't be back) and Oysters were also fishier than usual. But the other dishes around looked good.. maybe we would try that if we ever returned.

Pracheetee Joag

Great place for seafood! Delicious clam chowder with sourdough bread. The salmon was great as well. Tried their vegan burger for the first time, it probably needs some work taste wise, but it was good to have some options for my vegetarian friends.

Ramon Marin

Great Seaford. Clam chowder good, lobster good, shrimp all good food.

Lily C

The hostess was very friendly at the door and there is a nice restaurant environment. However, the server forgot to bring our drinks (only two drinks for our party of three). I had the Jambalaya and it was quite good, but I found a spoiled mussel in my dish which stank and was really foul.

Kim Mccrary

The restaurant was disappointing, fisherman platter the food tasted horrible, the fried food taste like the oil hadn’t been changed in months. The clam chowder was good, therefore I give them 2 stars

Dakota Brown

We loved the Clam Chowder Sourdough Bread Bowls. The price is reasonable and the food is delicious. The service was great as well. Out waiter never let us finish out drinks and brought out fresh bread quickly while we waited for our food. The restaurant is usually busy but they handle crowds well. We didn't have to wait for more than 10 minutes.

Dan McNair

I especially enjoyed how our server interacted with my children. She was super nice. The food was as good as might be expected. Pier 39 is a great spot too, lots of live shows and people watching!

liz lo

I love the clam chowder it's so tasty. If you are a shrimp lover I bet you enjoy the many items available to eat! I guarantee that people can enjoy the Fisherman's Platter its has 3 of the main entrees in one. Enjoy the food.

James Yin

My family had lunch here. Had the clam chowder, grilled fish and fish & chips. 20 minutes later we all had food poisoning. Hoping our 16-month old is okay here and still need to monitor him. Do not recommend this place.

Vachik Armenian

OMG loose 5 pounds before you go there. You'll gain every bit when you leave EXCELLENT FOOD AND EXCELLENT SERVICE

J David Rojas

Tourist spot. Good service. Good food

J J

Awesome sea food. The chowder was excellent so was the tuna steak

jacob stokes

I gotta say, I usually hate leaving bad reviews as I work in the serving industry myself, but this was disappointing. We had a 10 minute wait which was perfectly fair, but once we were sat we waited 15 minutes before even being acknowledged, while our server tended to tables around us. You should know that your sections will be sat again if you're on a wait and get there for the first run, but still, I get it. Hot food first. Except hot food doesnt come first. I ordered the 40 dollar lobster tail and when I got it, the potatoes and rice sides were legit cold, and the lobster was well seasoned but luke warm at best. I told the waitress and she did bring be a little bowl of chowder which was bomb, but it can't really make up for the meal. On top of all of that the people in my party had forgotten drinks and other minor issues. They loved their food, great calamari and chowder, but for me? Honestly not worth the price Edited to add that we have also been waiting for the check to come back for about 20 minutes with out card... Update: she ran our card on the wrong check and overcharged us....

Mark Cortez

Seafood and service at this place is excellent. Excellent spot to spend time alone or talk business. The staff was helpful and kind.

Polina Antipova

Delicious food and good service. You can try Jambalaya and Cioppino here and won’t be disappointed.

Tom Bennett

Great food at Pier 39 you must try Pier market restaurant seafood was on point great view of the city and water we got there at dinner time Friday night place was packed and we only had a 5 minute wait must try place if you want seafood

David Brown

Been here several times. Food and service is always awesome.

Mari Tysar

Loved the atmosphere and the food! Attentive wait staff and short ish wait time considering it's on Pier 39

Richard Webb

This is the only place we saw clam chowder in a cup. Thoroughly enjoyable! $5

Gerry Peticca

It's as great as everyone says it is. Seafood is fresh and delicious.

Aya El Mernissi

The clam showder is delicious!

hardlyworkinghere .

The food ordered was only decent. The blacken cod a little over spiced and cooked. Perhaps we ordered the wrong items.

Caron Chenu

Amazingly fresh seafood with decent prices and great fast service

Miss Michelle

Crab cakes are mostly bread= not worth it. But the salmon was great and the bread is worth paying for.

Jeff Lembke

I was on a brief stay in San Francisco. Pier Market was kind of a random discovery, and it was really good. The service deserves to really be called out. Probably some of the best service I've had anywhere. Servers were prompt, fast, and attentive and this was at a really busy time for the restaurant. The beer was cold, with a good selection. I had Fish and Chips which I don't often get because many time it's over battered with a tiny piece of fish buried deep down. Here I got three decent sized pieces of fish. Lastly, the location. It's on pier 39, with a view of the boats, the Golden Gate bridge, and depending on where you sit, Alcatraz. Overall, excellent!

Rick Luna

Food was delicious, our server was nice and brought our hot food immediately. Tasted really good. I'd come back again.

a r

Solid Food, and more kid friendly then other choices. Food tastes great, kids love the mussels. Could use a little more drink options, otherwise great service. Near perfect.

Kyle Yoshida

The fish and chips were really good. The pricing is expensive, but expected given the location on the pier. The fish was hot and crispy. They also provided free sourdough bread while they were preparing the food which also tasted really good. Id recommend this place. The portions are slightly larger than average, but prices are high.

Steve Stai

Not very good at all and overpriced. Crab cakes are mainly bread and the seasoning in the sides and other food was lacking

Jakob Hollauf

Great place to eat! Unfortunately high prices for little food.

Brandon Flynn

Food was decent, but portions were small and it definitely has tourist trap pricing. Not a bad place though.

Jessica Forsythe

Delicious. It the spot for a light lunch.

etay bitan

Great atmosphere very nice view of the bay

Johannes Lassner

Very good meal but sadly they just had plastic cups. Pretty expensive but good quality

Brian Newman

Delicious food, especially the clam chowder, combined with great drinks amounts to an enjoyable time.

Ben Avila

Excellent fresh choices, very reasonable prices and wait times. The drinks were very good as well.

K Liu

How nice to find a really decent eatery in the heart of one of the most touristy places in San Francisco. Fried calamari was fat and juicy. Oysters were fresh and flavorful. Seafood pasta- tasty and loaded with generous portions of assorted seafood. Service was efficient and on the dot, never interrupting but yet always attentive. Good job.

Aya Salama

I ordered from the takeaway and I had awesome fish of the day , also the guy was so nice and alert that he told me there's bacon in my order! Loved the food and experience.. it's very very busy to get seated inside so beware!!

J O

Not really sure what happened, my sis and date where ok . But after eating some mussels and the fish platter , 30mins later all hell broke loose in my stomach and lower region. Maybe the mussels where getting bad or? Suday night was awful and today Monday just as bad feeling. The view is nice and the ambiance but not too jacked on the food.

joshua eyrich

Absolutely amazing! The food was fantastic and the staff was friendly and accommodating!

bulldog family

Fabulous seafood and great service. Try the whole crab, it's amazing!

Steven N.

We visited for drinks after walking and shopping. Small bar. Crowded. But our server made great pours of whiskey and was quite personable. We'd drink here again.

Jason Lui

It is tucked away that most casual tourists don't see it. Seafood restaurant to eat at in the Fisherman's Wharf. Although the price point is going to be significantly more than the restaurants that line the main street.

Chris Hoadley

Great service, great people, great food. I went with the two lobster tales and the side of crab. Go the other way, crab with a side of lobster. The taste and flavor on the crab is phenomenal.

Tonia Ruskin

Fast and friendly service. Great seafood!

Silvia Colantoni

Amazing food, we eat here 3 times in a row! Keep going like this!

Mario alem

Really nice outdoor ambiance and breeze and the food was very good

Fred C

Food was mediocre and the service was nonexistent. We had to remind our waiter who we had to find that she forgot an item on our order. We could have casually left without paying due to the lack of service and attention. Seek elsewhere for both food and service. Did I mention the food was yawn?

sam vincent

We just got the counter service; much cheaper and same food. Very tasty salmon sandwich and crab cakes

Brian Williams

Stopped here for a late dinner. Since I was alone I was given a seat at the bar, which for me was absolutely fine. Carlos at the bar was really nice and took my order right away. I decided to give their fish & chips a try. And I really hate to say this, but...it was a disgrace. I sent the first one back as the fish was dry as a bone and the batter was stuck to the fish and the garlic fries (chips) were lukewarm and soggy. Also considering the fact that it took less than 5 minutes from when I ordered until I got my food does raise suspicion regarding the freshness of their food. I would go back - but only for drinks.

A T

Chowders were really good! We were served really fast which was a surprise because this place is big. We visited 2 times and once we had a window table so we were enjoying watching sea lions!

Marta Wallace

Back to its old self, pizzeria restaurant didn't last very long. Overall it's as good as it used to, except the oysters are very small.

Taye Shim

Our family tried the clam chowder on sourdough bowl & salad combo and added another clam chowder cup - we recommend this for a family of 4. Thick milky soup was fabulous; warm soup was perfect with the chilly weather; however could have been a bit more generous on the clams. The special for the day - grilled salmon and shrimp was pretty good. Portion is reasonably big.

Aqeel Butt

Amazing food. Amazing service. If you are by the Wharf and want some fresh seafood options, pier market is the way to go.

Jon Hanson

Great place to eat, fish and chips are amazing. Good bar selection too of various drinks.

Sama Sama

Really nice restaurant, prices are a bit higher but adequat, only sustainably caught seafood and big portions of really high quality. It was great there.

Chowder was awesome, only need to book in advance. Seafood is better that the grilled Mesquite steak. My food arrived cold but our helpful waitress Celia assisted with freshly fried fries(chips in SA) and veggies. Steak was still lukewarm (

There are many dining options on Pier 39, but the Pier Market is so good, I went twice in two days. I had the teriyaki salmon; it looked awesome, the seared crust was sumptuous and it tasted amazing. Aside from being original, the clam chowder served in a sourdough bread bowl was very flavorful. My waiter, Travis, was very professional and the food arrived quickly, even with the restaurant fully packed. And I don't know the name of the female manager that worked on Saturday afternoon, but she was stunning! :-) Overall, a great place to eat. Enjoy your meal!

You come here for the twice cooked lobster and anything else seafood. The cocktails are on point always. Perfect place to eat with your fave peeps.

Very good service. We ordered the crab cakes to start they were phenomenal. I had the clam chowder sourdough bread bowl with added crab and salad and my fiancé had the fisherman's platter. My chowder was excellent, and his plate had a mixture of fried shrimp, fried calamari which was amazing, fried fish and slaw which was not as good as southern slaw. Overall this place is a great place for dinner.
