Large open restaurant nicely decorated but not overly fancy which is another Memphis transplant, I think. We wandered in looking for southern style seafood. They sat us pretty quick. The staff was very helpful walking us through the menu and some of their favorites. We ended up with a couple of Po Boys and a catfish basket. Everything was great. The sides we had were all very good and even offered something different like Cucumber Salad and Cajun Cabbage. We opted for some homemade pie for dessert which was also excellent. No doubt the kiddos would go back in a heartbeat.

They have a unique way of frying up the crawfish that is already out the shell. Not a fam of crawfish but this was delicious.

Fish is outstanding. We had the amber jack and it was blackened perfectly while so juicy inside. Sweet potato sides were yummy. Southwest salad is great choice too. Prices are fair. Service is good. Building is clean and nice minimalist design style leaves it feeling open and airy. Would highly recommend to all.

Awesome seafood cafe, conveniently located in the heart of down town Little Rock. Atmosphere is modern with a seafood flare. The service was prompt, attentive and friendly ... Hayley served us well! The oyster po-boys are amazing, sweet potato fries with honey are delish and the Cole slaw was the BEST I've ever had with a bit of shallot kick. Try it, you'll not be disappointed. Moderately priced.

Fantastic atmosphere. Super friendly wait staff. Only reason for 4 stars is the taste of the food. The Dill Pickle chips had salt added to the batter making a very salty appetizer. The Iron Skillet cheeseburger was a very generous portion, but, lack of sauce or powerful seasoning left it missing something. Will definitely eat here again solely for the staff. Just have to try something different next time!

I ordered the vegetable plate, which is a choice of three sides and a cornbread. I chose the deep fried okra, Cajun cabbage, and pickled green tomatoes. I enjoyed the Cajun cabbage the most. The pickled green tomatoes just tasted like any pickled vegetable. It's was hard to eat a whole dish of pickled anything so I probably should've tried something else. The restaurant was very clean and the rest of my party enjoyed their food very much.

BEST RESTAURANT on our cross country Yellowstone trip! This was our last night traveling as we headed back home to Atlanta the next day. EVERYTHING was delicious! Britney was an excellent server. We loved the barbecue po boy, shrimp tacos, okra, hush puppies, macaroni, collards, and pecan pie! Highly recommend!!! 5+++++++stars!!!

Was surprised to find a really great, properly prepared Cuban sandwich on the menu here, complete with tender pork, Swiss cheese, mustard, pickles and crusty bread, all pressed and cooked just right. The seafood gumbo left a bit to be desired, with a too-light roux, just a single shrimp and mostly rice. Service was attentive but when my friend and I needed to leave after waiting several minutes for our payment to be taken by the server and walked to the register, we were admonished to sit back down and wait for our waiter to take our payment. Not good. Will probably try again sometime as I liked the looks of the items on the menu.

I order broccoli ,sweet potato , and Mac& cheese. Everything was really seasoned to perfection!! My family and I stopped here as we were passing through on a road trip. It was Memorial day so they weren't crowded at all. We were seated right away, drinks were flowing, and the came out in a timely manner. We all got catfish, fried & blackened, and it was cooked perfectly. The sides were delicious all except for the hush puppies and the collard greens. Great experience overall and the only bad thing I can think of is there is no changing stations in the restrooms. Other than that we'll be back the next time we're driving through Little Rock.

Another place I've been eyeballing and today I got a taste and wow what taste. Wonderful delicious food. From the fish, hush puppies and mac'n cheese top notch food. More special was they brought the food the Today Soul Fish café brought food to the Little Rock Airport to feed all the unpaid TSA employees. A wonderful gesture and the Officers were so overwhelmed by their generosity. Thank you for your support it absolutely made a difference. I was really impressed by the flavors.... it was wonderful.

We were recommended to Soulfish by the very helpful staff at the Capital Hotel, on a Sunday night when not much was open, except the heavens. Mind, they did suggest the catfish, which we didn’t take up: I’ve spent a lifetime avoiding anything aquatic which hovers round the outlet pipe, mullet, mussels etc, and I suspect catfish is in that category. Give me flatfish any time. Anyway, although this place is a little unprepossessing from the outside, it was good. The food was fine, the service good, and the bill very accrptable.. Recommended

My fiance and I ordered the southwest salad with blackened catfish, and the blackened salmon entree. His salmon was good, but my catfish was extremely salty and pretty much inedible. I mentioned it to our waiter, Chris, and he took care of it right away. He replaced the salty fish with grilled catfish that was really good! Chris had some of the best customer service I've received from a restuarant and we would definitely go back just because of the service we recieved from him. Thanks, Chris!!

I was well pleased with my smoked pork chop, sweet potato fries, cucumber salad & pickled green tomatoes. The sweet tea was not sweet enough for me until I added a packet of splenda. It was clean & pleasing to the eye. My church group had a good time. Our servers Paul (I can't remember the young lady's name) did a great job serving 25 of us at two tables. We hope we weren't too extra for them. I look forward to going back to try the catfish next time.

Seansoned well, coating was crispy and was fried to perfection. The portion was plentiful. The wait staff was good very attentive, great attitude and welcoming. The dining room was clean, bright, and roomy-tables were placed where you had room to sit without feeling packed in. It was an enjoyable evening. It was my first time and I will be back. Saturday June 22 7pm. Place was half full but it still took 20 minutes to be seated not a big deal. waitress wasn’t very friendly at first, but she was nice and helpful always ask for their name and use their name and this will help you get better service. We had a group of 11 so after six or more there is 18% Gratuity and they also calculate tip on top of tax not all places do that. They did offer a 10% discount without us even asking for the convention we were attending so that was a plus. The food was pretty good the seafood platter was lacking my friend was only given one fish so he was disappointed. His wife had the wings, my father-in-law had a burger I had kind of a brisket barbecue sandwich that was good, fries and sweet potato fries were good, so all in all this place was good.

I had lunch @ Soul Fish Cafe on Friday a coworker and I. I ordered the catfish dinner. The restaurant was and Immaculate. the waitress was great. OMG the food was delicious I really enjoyed it. But the kicker for me was, I left the restaurant and left my retainers on the table. You guys know how expensive retainer are. So I called back to the restaurant asked for the manager. He said I look for your retainers. I told him I was on my way back to the restaurant , Please don't throw any trash in the dumpster. By the time I made it back to soul fish cafe ,Jeffrey and Bobby had found my retainers, I'm so grateful. Beware: Food Poisoning I visited this location Sunday 1/20/19 before a concert with a few friends and all of us that ordered shrimp realized several hours later that something was wrong. Update to response: I can't say that it isn't a possibility, but highly improbable that 2 people eating at the same time at your restaurant with nothing else in common (drove from opposite sides of the state, ate together and that was it) experienced the same illness at the same time a few hours after eating. I understand wanting to maintain your reputation, but I won't be returning because I seriously believe this was the case. Thank you for your response.

Our waiter sat us and forgot about us. People came in after us received their food before us. Asked for a manager they came to the table and asked if we wanted our check. The missing waiter brings the check and said she would be right back and sat down to share dessert with a co - worker. That's my experience at the place. When your restaurant has good food and not treat customers correctly - it cancels out the good food.

The best fish in Little,Rock A.R. It's in the downtown area. The servers are great aways happy and very well educated on the menu!!! Awww yes the best part all kids under 12 eat free with every paying adult every Tuesday evening after 4 right at dinner time mom can enjoy some wine dad some good local draft beer all while the kids color and watch cartoons and kid friendly jams!!! Living in Memphis, I enjoy Soul Fish there. I have to say that the Little Rock venue is excellent and does the name proud. Staff are friendly and helpful. Our waitress, Desiree was super helpful with recommendations. The food was excellent. I was craving a po boy, and the waitress recommended the blackened shrimp po boy. It was outstanding. My wife had the trout and it was perfect. I highly recommend both. I also have to say the fried okra was spot on, perfectly breaded and cooked. We weren't planning on eating here as we wanted something we couldn't get back home, but I'm so glad we ended up here.

Best catfish I've had, EVER. And I've eaten a lot of catfish. I thought that I should try something different than what I normally order and ended up trying a special offered on Friday. It had blacked shrimp, fried green tomatoes and fresh greens (the fried green tomatoes are usually served on top of the salad, but I wanted to judge them on their own merit) . It was scrumptious! I will continue to visit for the catfish but the sides are so tasty. Hubby's favorite is the black eyed peas, but I love the cabbage and sweet potatoe. *Special note: if you have to pay for parking, show your receipt to your server and they will give you a discount.

I made a call in order while in front of soul fish. They told me it would take 10 min I came in the building about 5 minutes after and my food was already sitting on the counter. COLD. I ordered fish I asked them to cook it hard from the beginning and I’m sure they served me old fish..They did a remake and when my order was done the cook that’s in the back.. He is a black man.. He threw my food on top of the counter and I asked the white smiley guy was the cook mad because he threw my food on the counter. He said naw he’s not mad. He asked me was you mad.. So for me Just because the customer service is Horrible and they like to cook they fish like a gooey slime.. I will just keep going to the Flying Fish where the fish is Fully cooked and the cooks is not throwing your food across the counter like they are angry because I asked for a remake.. Note: To SOUL FISH CAFE CUSTOMER SERVICE GOES A LONG WAY!

Indeed proper soul food, and thanks to them I managed to convert at least one okra hater, so well done. Perfectly cooked fish, super casual with a small but solid beer selection, and fantastic service (Thanks Chris!)

The food was very good and I recommend getting an Arnold Palmer, if you like them. Staff was prompt and courteous. I will eat here again next time I am in Little Rock.

Good food, clean & not too pricey. They have outdoor seating !s well as A/C cold inside seating lol . Waiter's were nice & it didnt take long for food to come . I was told its crowed through the week days 11:30 - 13:00 lunch hour . I recommend you try it , the only down fall no refills on beverages except water .
