Small restaurant that brings me back to my time living in the New Orleans area. The have good food to include alligator, crawfish and more. It has the feel of the small mom and pop shops where I ate daily. The staff are extremely friendly and will bend over backward to ensure your good customer experience.

We stopped here on the way to the Big Shed Show. Vance got the crawfish and declared it "Excellent". I had the gumbo and it was very good. The corn fritters were the best I've ever ordered at a restaurant. The laid back atmosphere and friendly staff rounded off this terrific stop. Great experience!

Service was absolutely horrible. Atmosphere was chaotic and grimy. Wait staff / cook kept yelling at other customers to communicate what they want when she forgot. The only staff member in the business was horrible and violated a bunch of ServSafe rules like wearing sandals. There were also open cans of soda on the fountain machine as well as sweet tea in heavy duty mayonnaise containers. Two of the people who ordered potatoes and corn mix had a pool of oil on their played from what it was cooked in. Majority of my groups food was undercooked or Raw. Food is ridiculously overpriced , it was $2 for a ice water. Honestly wanted to get out of there as soon as possible one minute after we entered the business.

My coworker and I went there for lunch based on the great reviews. It was horrible! After waiting for about 30 minutes (with only three tables), our food came out cold. The iced tea was putrid. I ordered the crab cake meal which came with potatoes and corn. Everything was covered in some kind of sauce that made it all taste similar in a bad way. My coworker ordered the shrimp which was rubbery. Apparently, the fries were ok. We both got sick after eating there. I don't know if we went at a really bad time but we will NOT be going back.

OMFG, this place is incredible!!!!! Had a combination basket with alligator, shrimp, and fish and it was without a doubt the best fried seafood I have ever experienced. The people working were welcoming and talked with us while making our food. Everything about it was incredible. If I am ever back in Arkansas I will make a point to come back.

We had Fried gator,fish, and shrimp. We also had grilled fish with dirty rice That is a gluten-free dish that was amazing. Ladies were extremely helpful. Just passing thru and if I am ever in the area they are a must stop!!!!!!!

Great cajun-style food! Very small restaurant, but some food you don't normally see on a menu, like alligator! My wife and I went for tamer fare and chose the crab cakes and they were excellent. The place was filling up when we left which speaks volumes about the food!

Friendly people in a mom and pop atmosphere! Fresh hot cooked seafood made when you order it. Everything from the appetizers of boudain balls and crab cakes, to the meals of oyster and alligator with sides of potatoes were impeccable. I've never had butter milk pie before but it was absolutely delicious! Wonderful place all around. It may be a bit of a drive but this is a sweet little honey hole we will definitely be returning to!

A cajun place. The rice was the worst we ever had. We did the grilled shrimp and fish. With okra and corn fritters, the okra was good but the fritters not so good. Service was ok, they take there time on orders. Price was about the same as other places.

Terrible service and very overpriced for what you get . My wife and I spent $50 on dinner and left very unsatisfied and still hungry. My wife wanted rice and veggies and was told they only way she could get rice and veggies was with a meal deal that included fried fish too. We were happy to pay for a side but our waitress couldn't figure it out.... Oh the place smelled like rotten roadkill.

Sorry but this was one of the worst experiences I've had a a restaurant. Service was awful, waiter forgot that my husband ordered anything. Partial orders were brought out, items forgotten. Had to ask for the rest of our orders while first of it got cold. No refills unless asked and crab legs were freezer burnt and tough. Waiter brought them out with his bare hands from the back freezer to the cook. Wasnt clean. Not a good experience for the price.

This is one of the most high quality and authentic Cajun / southern food restaurants in the area. They both New Orleans style and they hit it right on target. It's very hard to find well done crawfish, crab legs, frog legs and even fried oysters. The staff has great charm, and it's even modestly-priced, when considering the high quality of the food. I make sure to stop in every time I'm through Forest City

Came in and was greeted warmly by the woman at the grill. Sat for 20 minutes without being acknowledged by the man taking care of the tables; he greeted a table that came in after ours, got their order and everything, and basically after like we didn't exist. We left without eating.

This place was amazing the best seafood ever. It's season to perfection not too spicy but not over-salted. I love the three meat seafood boil. It's enough for two people and the potatoes are awesome. This lady really knows her stuff and I'm from Louisiana so I'm very picky and this is as good as it gets!!!!

The crab legs and steamed shrimp were cooked for too long. The crab legs were dry and the shrimp was deformed because of overcoming. Everything else was great! The owner wasn’t working there the night i came, btw.

Horrible food! Worst spent money in my life! My husband ordered fried catfish which came with fries and hush puppies, the fries were raw in the middle and the catfish was ..meh... My husband ordered tea which looked like swamp water it look cloudy and tasted putrid and fermented like a few days old. I ordered a shrimp po boy and some fried calamari on the side (apparently the waitress never heard of such thing in her life, it took her a while to understand what calamari was until I pointed at the menu) she came back with 4 fish stick -like things on a plate (4.99 for that) I couln't have more than one bite the thing was like eating slimy rubber , nothing tasty about it. My po boy never came, seems like the waitress forgot to tell the lady who was cooking because when I asked, the lady said she never heard a thing about any poboy I ordered. a little bit rude but thank goodness because I bet it must have tasted terrible. The floor was sticky. No surprise the food sucked because we watched the cook take it out of a deep freezer 15 min. before it was served to us. Special thanks to the man outside the parking lot who told us the place had incredible food when we were driving around for a place to eat. How in the world can people eat there! ??jeez!!!!

Headed back from a 2 week trip to Florida and this was our favorite meal out of the entire trip (including some high end places in Florida.) AMAZING food, very friendly. It is a sit back and relax kinda place, so I wouldn't recommend if you are in a hurry. But it is definitely worth the extra time to stop.

Jalapeno poppers were not cooked all the way, potatoes and corn, potatoes were cold. Stopped drinking the sweet tea, saw some food or something stuck to side inside the cup. Atmosphere was chaotic. Fountain machine had dirty dishes or trash on the drain grates. Will not visit again.

Food was AMAZING. If you are in a hurry, this is NOT the place to go to. If you're looking for a quaint place with excellent food, then definitely give this little place a try!! It was definitely worth the wait. There is only 1 lady who works- she waits on you, she prepares your meal and she cooks. A GREAT LITTLE GEM HIDDEN OFF THE MAP. We absolutely love this restaurant!! From the sausage balls, to the the shrimp dinner, & the Crawfish dinner…..all were cooked to perfection! The ambience was that of a cozy, feel good atmosphere. Prices were very affordable. But the BEST part of our meal was the excellent, & friendly service. Both server, & the chef made us feel like we were part of the family. Our first visit here as I was giving a treat to my old friend who is 87yrs old.Though we arrive at 10mins before closing, we were not turn away. This is a most unique restaurant. It is truly New Orleans style seafood. The food is excellent. Some is breaded and deep fried but also some is baked, broiled or grilled. The restaurant has country atmosphere. Seafood can be expensive so this is not a cheap place.

This place is filthy. Menus, table, chairs, floors, doors, visible kitchen area, everything needed a deep cleaning. Tea cloudy and stagnant. Catfish small, thin, and over cooked. Corn tasted old and was over cooked. Could not even relax due to the unappetizing environment. I will never go back.

Traveling with wheat allergies can be stressful! I was going to try the salad bar next door, but decided against it. I went to see Miss D and she made me a wonderful spicy fish and shrimp with dirty rice on the grill. My guy had the gator tail appetizer and lobster tail with corn and potatoes and that was most excellent too!! I’m so glad we stopped! When my party arrived at the restaurant all of the tables had trash on them so we sat at the one with the least amount. The lady running the place was both cook and wait staff. She did greet us,but would yell across the restaurant to talk to other patrons whether it was to confirm their orders or make small talk. We were finally able to place our order after about 15 minutes. We noted that our sweet tea was poured from a repurposed mayonnaise container so we were hesitant about drinking it. Once we received our orders mine was seeped in red oil or butter that I think came from the potatoes and corn. The rest of my party's food was either cold or undercooked after we were able to talk about it. We honestly should have left after we placed our drink order instead of waiting for the rest of the time that we stayed in this place. My brothers who are versed in SafeServ noted numerous issues as well. Definitely avoid this place unless you like comedically awful service and a chaotic atmosphere with constant do you want banana pudding/boudin balls/coleslaw/etc. because a simple no would not suffice without the lady having some loud, jarring remark.

Great service and excellent food. If you want to experience New Orleans style cuisine that taste awesome, this is the place. Boudin Balls, cole slaw, shrimp, crab cakes, alligator - all to die for. Small place with great charm. If no cars in parking lot (like our visit) do not be intimidated. It means you beat the crowd and will be able to visit with Ms. Dee. A special memory fur our trip.

I don’t know where to start... I walked in and was greeted by the whole staff “Welcome to Arkansas Best Seafood Garden” the staff and service was amazing and what was to follow was Heaven sent, The FOOD (see pictures). If you live here you already know how fantastic this food is but if you are traveling through town and want some seafood that will have you speechless and unbuckling your belt buckle then this is the place. The portion sizes would fill a small family and the prices will speak your language, it’s very affordable!
