The owner is very knowledgeable about his products. And if he or his staff do not know they find out. Their stock of live fish always seem lively and healthier than the varieties over at Petco and Petsmart. They also have ample space to browse their wares.

Great selection, very knowledgeable ! Whether you buy 1 fish or have a whole tank set up, you get the benefit of his knowledge and experience. Chuck set up our tank and services it. Before we set it up, he went thru our options in detail making sure we had the right mix of fish with the right temperament etc. I cant say enough good things about them.

I've gotten 2 fish that were sick, and the display tanks are filthy, the last time I was in there looked like they had cleaned up. I'd say they have poor quality in fish.. they are way over priced, sometimes double the price of other aquatic stores.

This store is works very functionally for people who are fish tank enthusiasts, and with an experienced staff to help even beginners get their tank up and running, I really do like the store. unfortunately, the last time I went a lot of the tanks are empty, which could have just been circumstantial. but for the casual person looking to buy a fish, the lack of stock can be an important factor for sales. It also seemed like in general the store wasn't clean.

Went in Saturday and purchased $54.16 worth of fish, should have known better since most tanks had at least 1 dead fish floating around in them. Got 5 cardinal tetras, 2 glofish tetras, 2 danio tetras and a kuhlii loach, by Sunday 3 of the cardinal tetras were dead and 1 of the glofish were dead, Monday another glofish died. leaving 2 cardinal tetras and 2 glofish still alive. called today to see about their policy to which they replied I could bring in a sample of my water and the dead fish and they could see if the water had caused it. I didn't hang on to dead fish I took a picture and flushed them as my kids were heartbroken they had died. I not only conditioned and tested my own water (let it run for a week through the filtration too) but had it been a water problem all fish would be dead. super frustrating spending almost $60 and most the fish ending up dead. I will not be returning to reef escapes for any fish in the future
