Went there about two weeks ago, 4/14/18 after hearing about it from a family member. The service was very nice, however upon purchasing some plants and water conditioner, a week and a half later I come to find my ammonia and nitrite levels were stagnant and the conditioner had expired a year prior, and the plants I had purchased to aid with my nitrate levels were infested with pond snails, now I am currently undergoing snail population control.

Wonderful Customer service. I talked with one of the women for quite awhile about fish and she gave me lots of tips that help me a bunch to this day. She was VERY knowledgeable on the plants needs. She helped me choose the right plants for my tank and fish. I explained to her that I needed plants for bettas because I was currently breeding them. She seemed extremely interested in my betta breeding and told me she would love to see how I do. Thanks ced one of the bettas she was keeping was blind and notified her, immeadietly she asked me which one, I showed her and she checked to make sure he was not in pain. The whole time she seemed very careful not to scare him and seemed very concerned. I left the store feeling that the fish was in good hands. She also had about 15 karp that had been stunted because some guy put them in a pool with chlorine. When I asked about them she was very frustrated about the guy doing this and told me her plans to take them all home and give them a nice huge backyard pond. Overall wonderful experience. The only problem I have with this store is they have a huge bladder snail infestation, however I solved the problem with a couple assassin snails. (And some hungry bettas) I kind of wish they had a YouTube channel because this place is so interesting, I would love to see how they keep their tanks planted so heavily and beautiful. Overall lovely experience with some lovely people and some beautiful fish.

Linda and her husband are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They don't mind taking the time to answer a million questions no matter how silly the questions may seem. She stands by her fish if anything happens all you have to to is let her know as soon as possible. I love that she asks questions before selling certain types of fish to make sure you know what you're getting into. Also she has no problem suggesting other options you may like just as much.

A lot of inventory for a small store. The owner seems very knowledgeable about his business, has his own beliefs in how things should be sat up. I am afraid the tanks need work. They could stand some cleaning. I did not see any dead fish, but I am afraid the sight of tanks full of algae is not helping him in sales. His prices seem good, he just needs some help i am thinking

I've driven all over the state to salt water fish stores. Ft. Smith, Hot Springs, Searcy, Conway, Cabot and Little Rock. Marine World Tropical Fish in Hot Springs, AR was by far my worst experience. Customer service was very poor. I had to constantly ask for assistance and nothing is labeled. The prices seem to change based on the mood of the owner. Outrageously priced live rock and the tanks were filthy due to a contamination. Knowledge of reef keeping was subpar at best. I suppose I expected more from this fish store given its long standing history, I was greatly dissapointed.

I went to check out this store last wednesday and I was not disappointed and very much surprised at the amount of fish. Thats not all, the plants were second to none in how many different ones they have and some I have never seen. Needless to say the trip from houston to Hot Springs was worth it. Staff took good care of me and very helpful in what I needed . Plus they have a system on there freshwater tanks that I envied one I have longed to own. All the tanks were drilled and they have installed a drip system , fresh water in , fresh water out. NO WATER CHANGES EVER!!!!!!! Marine World will be my fish and plant store. Please check out the tiger platies. I bought two females and a male. There was so much new stuff I had to watch my spending. Came home with 50 bucks worth and had to stop cause I did not have room for more right now. THANKS AGAIN I WILL BE BACK....

Overall, a great place to look for fish, and fish supplies. I've had great service with the employees. Recently, I had purchased a red bellied pacu in my aquarium, but sadly it had died within 5 hours of it being in the tank. I went back today, and told them about it, and they actually let me pick out a new fish (that was equal price). I also got my beloved dinosaur bichir from here, and he is in perfect health. Anyways, I would recommend this store over Petco or PetSmart any day of the week. You will not be disappointed at all

This is by far the best fish store in Hot Springs area. I go here very often and for at least 6 years now. They are very knowledgeable of all your fish needs and wants. They will not sell you any sick fish either. I would highly recommend to anyone that is a fish enthusiast.

Len and his wife Linda are by far the most experienced professionals in the aquarium business world. The reviewer who said their prices are high obviously did not check the entire web. Not only are their prices usually much lower than you will find elsewhere, Len also provides patient, unending knowledge and advice for beginners like us. He patiently guided us through not only the purchase, but for a couple of months advised us on what we could expect and need to do a great saltwater reef aquarium. We set up the area in advance and then over a period of about a month made weekly purchases and acclimation steps to build a great system. When expected problems arose, which they always do on new systems, Len had already prepared us for what to do...and still does. If you are considering any aquarium system (and they are not just tanks of water with fish) talk to Len and Linda about what you want and they will guide you in the right direction. If you really want to do it right, check with Marine World and then ask other stores, you will see for yourself that this is the best shop around. By the way, we were novices at first and had no idea what we needed to do...now we are on the right path to a great aquarium experience...and it really looks great!
