I ordered a double doozie m&m cookie from them almost a week before my moms birthday. I told them I would pick it up on Sunday at 2:30 and they said it would be ready then. I had not heard from them at all so I assumed everything was fine. I got a call the night before on Saturday at 8:59 PM (1 minute before they closed) saying that they ran out of their chocolate chip cookie dough and they could not make the m&m cookie because their truck shorted them. They did offer one of their specialty cookies with no extra charge, however, we do not like any of their other types of cookies. They said we could go to Nestle and get one there. We did not want Nestle, that’s why we ordered from Great American Cookie and even if we did what were the chances that we could actually get a cookie in the short amount of time that they gave us. I even asked the manager if she could call the one in North Little Rock (that’s where my family was coming from) and see if they could do one. She proceeded to tell me that she didn’t have their number and couldn’t do that. Ummmm hello, have you never heard of googling the number? At this point I was pretty upset as the manager was pretty much doing nothing to help. I’m sitting here at 9:00 PM the night before my moms birthday at work and i’m having to deal with this. My question was, if you new you weren’t going to have enough cookie dough why wouldn’t you have called sooner and not the night before when everywhere else is closed? Like did you just realize at 8:59 on Saturday night that you wouldn’t have enough? If you new the truck had shorted you, wouldn’t you have set aside enough to make my cookie that I ordered A WEEK ago? My dad went up the next day and talked to the manager. She was apparently very rude and kept saying “What do you want me to do?”. Long story short, we did not and will never get a cookie from them. I would not recommend them as the manager is very rude. However, if you do order from them make sure to call and check on your order a few times so you do not end up in the same boat as I did.
