Fantastic seafood. Had the catfish, shrimp, clams, lobster stew and grits & gumbo. Everything was very fresh, tasted excellent. Great prices on all the food, especially the kids' meals. So good we had to come back for their jambalaya and Hush puppies. Both were good but the Hush puppies were a little over cooked.

Either you like fried or grilled, it's the same. My parents who came to visit last year said it was the best Catfish they had in their life and they are both were in their 80's. I will say though, the fried pickles are terrible. Other than that everything is delicious.

Why was my jumbo shrimp flattened paper thin? Little confused on that.. the batter had a weird taste and after taste . It's still lingering in my mouth. The catfish had no flavor? Either that or it was the weird tasting batter. Cole slaw was the worst I ever ate! I wont go there again. I'll drive 2 hrs to Cape fair and eat at flat creek restaurant. Totally worth it. We really need a good fish place around here!

The salmon tacos were so good that I wiggled and giggled like a fish out of water. The crawfish chowder gave me a severe case of "give-me-some-more-of-this-itis" (not a medically recognized condition, but still very real). I couldn't find the horseradish at first, but after I did, there weren't enough crackers in the building to eat it on. The catfish didn't taste like cats though, and that was confusing.

I’m not a big fan of fried foods so I always order off the grilled section. The grilled salmon plate, grilled grouper plate and the grilled salmon salad are my favorites. They certainly know how to grill a nice filet of fish to perfection. Oysters on a half shell never disappoint either.

I really wanted to like this place, but when I male better food at home, what is the point? Friendly staff and awesome ice is not enough to make up for such low quality and poor tasting food. The batter on the fried shrimp tasted like soap or detergent, it was also dry and has terrible texture. My wife went for the burger which she described as "the worst burger she has eaten in years...I wish I hadn't been so hungry because I wouldn't have eaten it." Do yourself a favor and skip this restaurant. Its seriously sad that Long John Silvers has better quality food than Flying Fish.

Recommended to us by our Airbnb hosts and we weren’t disappointed! My husband had the snappy grilled red snapper with some great grilled veggies and I had the grilled fish tacos. The restaurant is a neat place, but the fish tacos were so delicious! The slaw and sauce that they put on them is delicious! Also had some tasty fried okra! Prices were reasonable too and plenty of seating for a larger group.

This is the most disgusting "seafood I've ever had in my 39yrs of life. The food is bland, no seasoning at all..not even some light salt on the fries. The portions are laughable! It's kid size portions for adults. The prices are ridiculous YOU DO NOT GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. It's like Red lobster prices for walmart frozen section seafood that's microwaved. The only reason ppl are giving this place higher than 1 star are probably drunk. Everyone was getting drunk when we were there. The atmosphere is slightly ok but the temperature felt like their AC broke or like all that money ppl are spending there is being pocketed instead of them using it to invest in an AC. We will NEVER be back! We will take our money to red lobster, at least if they do microwave their food it doesn't taste like it & you get what you pay for in some relaxing AC. What a joke.

We felt like native Bentonviller's when we walked in and saw the years of fishing records and stories that filled the walls. This is an excellent place to eat often or just stop by before or after visiting the Walmart Museum.

Wow!! Such a wonderful experience! Everything was cooked to perfection. Seasoned well. Quickly served. This was a first visit for us, and I noticed regulars opening a tab, getting beer or wine and sitting for a while before getting in line to order. Considering how fast the place fills up, that seems like a great idea. To start, we ordered oysters on the half shell (fresh from the gulf the day before) and mexican cocktail that was loaded with yummy shrimp and just enough spice! Then came jambalaya like no other. Saucy, shrimpy and oozing southern charm. And perfectly cooked catfish, melt in your mouth tender. we ordered anticipating leftovers, we left overstuffed. Now on my favorite list for NWA!

Definitely enjoyed my food. The rice and beans were delicious. I'm from the beach and the shrimp was not freshly caught even though it may have been freshly imported. Catfish was a little thin. I like mine thick. Overall the staff very polite, environment homey. Prices are excepted due it being seafood. I like it!

Had several of my friends telling me I had to go here (one being from Lousiana). I ordered a combo platter with Catfish and shrimp and absolutely loved their seasoning and style! I will most definitely be going back to try more of their combo platters to enjoy everything they have to offer. Rated 4 stars due to it not being the absolutely best thing I've ever had for cajun style and that it wasn't "blow my mind" good.

Let me start off by saying this was a fantastic eatery! I had a fried oyster po' boy- my personal favorite when I make southern travels! It definitely wasn't the best po' boy I've had (you can't beat the big easy!) however, it was still delicious. I love the environment of the restaurant as well. It has a Cajun atmosphere, always a must in the south! The fries were also delicious! And I must not leave out the hush puppies! Only once have I had hush puppies better than these! Overall, I would say this is up in the top 5 for Cajun restaurants I've been to in the past! Highly recommend it if your in or near Bentonville!

I bring all my out of town guests here, and they always ask to return for another meal during their visit. You can't go wrong with Flying Fish!

I really liked the onion rings and boiled shrimp. The corn was too spicy for me but I'm a wuss when it comes to that. My husband liked his catfish but said the batter could use a little more seasoning. He loved the fried shrimp though. There's more I want to try so I definitely will go back.

Flying fish is a classic staple restaurant on the Bentonville Square. You can find amazing raw oysters, fresh catfish and some big shrimp! I highly recommend this to anyone visiting Bentonville or residents that just want a good down home cookin'! Great staff and a very lively atmosphere!

Ambiance is great. Very casual and personal...in that there are personal stories about people in the Community. I ordered ceviche. It's in the cocktail, or cold fish dishes, and it is not listed on the menu board, but it is listed on the menu in front of the register. I've had typical Mexican and Peruvian Ceviche, and this was...I guess a new Orleans version. It had just enough heat and lime zing, but it was sweet and tomato saucey. Very flavourful. Other Flying Fish dishes I have ordered in the past were good, but a bit on the bland side. The ceviche was very satisfying.

This is a must when we visit the area. I have had Cajun food and this is as authentic as it gets. The jambalaya is spicy and delicious, the catfish(farm raised) is fresh, crispy and tender. My husband always gets the seafood gumbo which he loves. They have a large menu so you have many choices.

"Catch and Release into Real Hot Grease" is one of the best slogans I've ever heard from any restaurant, what a great description! Most things are fried and everything I tried was fantastic, cold beer, lots of fishing stories on the walls and of course lots of hot fried food.

Love the cute little place and their decorations: the photographs and fish decor. The food was quite good too but could use a little more seasoning. The potatoes and okra was yum. The almond rice with trout and grilled snapper was good but a little bland. The shrimp could've been smoked a little more.

Let's be honest here. This is not a 5 star place. It is however a good solid four star seafood joint with sort of cajun like food. It's quirky and interesting and I'd definitely return. Service quality is mixed. Sometimes the guy at the counter doesn't even seem to be paying attention to you when you are ordering.

The gumbo was not worth 8 dollars. It was small and the shrimp weren't cleaned out. In fact, the shrimp were gritty. I have had 10 dollar gumbo of similar size in restaurants where the average dinner price was 20 dollars.

This place is okay. The atmosphere is very homely and gives you a feeling that this place is a long time staple in the city. But honestly, the food isn't strongly seasoned and I wasn't thrilled about the price either ($14 for two small pieces of catfish and 4 pieces of shrimp). I'd definitely say this place is worth experiencing, but it's a "one and done" visit for me.

The food was absolutely horrendous! I had frog legs, my husband had the chicken and catfish basket. The 1st bite tasted rotten. Rancid grease, mildew taste. I took mine up and they gave me a new meal of rainbow trout. The fish in this place taste old, like algae. My husband just put his aside and never ate. We were both up with stomach aches all night. We will never eat there again.

Food is typical southern gulf coast which is nice to find here in Arkansas. We had the Oryster Po-Boy, and grilled Tilapia and was good. This is a very informal restaurant you go for the food. The prices are okay for what you get. We we're fortunate to find parking but that could present a problem if you are going on weekends or other busy times.
