Our guide recommended this place to get our salmon processed and shipped home. Everyone was friendly and seemed very efficient. But when my fished did not arrive home when it was suppose to I called back and the young man had put our order in the will pick up file. I explained to the lady on the phone that I needed my shipped out the next day and my nephew and nephew in law needed there's shipped out the next week. Well mine still didn't show up at home. I was still in Alaska, my partner was home in Missouri and we were leaving for Michigan as soon as I got home. So I called a 3rd time and spoke with an older man, Luke, who straightened out our 3 orders. My advice if you go in with a group and are shipping to 2 or more (we had 3) different addresses, separate your fish before weighing. All 3 of our orders were found under my nephew in law's name, when called and they found is then they found mine and my nephews all filed together. The two have received their fish and mine should ship out this coming Monday. PS my niece said they did get a shipping notice email from Ed's (Also known as Tanner's in Soldotna).

Won't do business here again. After explicit directions to leave filets as is and not cut off any bellies or collars they trimmed all of those favorite parts off! Sad loss for us who prefer the fatter parts of a filet. Also the quality of vacuum seal bags was not great and the placement of the filets in the bags was sloppy. With tails bent and crooked and now frozen that way. Seemed like they skimped and used too small of bags for the wider filets we delivered. We also paid higher prices than anyone else offered in the area for a bad job. I will take the time next year to drive to coal point in Homer to have our fish processed there. They were also hard to get in touch with to try and remedy the problems so I've given up. Not a very professional place.

Wow, this place has the best, freshest, and delicious sea food. It's not cheap, but the smoking is done by them with their secret recipe. In the retail outlet on the Sterling Highway you will find a big selection of sea food. Mostly frozen and can be shipped from there for an extra cost.

We dropped off almost 600lbs of fish in about 15 different bundles over three days as various group members hit their limits throughout a multiday trip. They processed it all perfectly and let us use their facility to break it into 20 even portions so each attendee could fly home with their share. I bought a smoked salmon and a large octopus for our farewell party. The salmon was gone in minutes. The octopus was huge and took a few hours to cook but once it hit tender it was gone quick and was a big hit. The have great fish products for sale and they did a really nice job processing our order.

Decent place to get fish processed. Appears to be cut up and packaged well. A little more expensive than place in Homer we also used. Would use again when in this location

I've been a customer for several years and happily received my latest order this morning. As always, excellent quality wild Alaskan seafood, carefully packaged, and delivered quickly. Their customer service is just as impressive.

They gave my fish to someone else. My dad and I just fished our limit for 3 days in Soldotna. It was tough fishing. Long hours. Great fish! Very red, healthy sockeye. We opened our boxes at home after being processed by Kasilof Seafoods and my dad now has a fifty pound box of someone elses bad quality fish. Pinks and Russian River sockeye that are all faded. My dad also cut 14 pieces of belly meat, they only gave us 6 of them. So, to the people who got our fish, you're welcome. This isn't just about a bad review, the fish we gave them was worth more money. I will be following up on this.

Best smoked salmon ever.

Good prices and decent processing of fish. Didn't wash the fillets like I requested (still some sand on them) but other than that look good. They almost didn't give me all of my order until I noticed I was missing some fish. They managed to find the additional tray that was in the freezer.

If you don't live in Alaska and want some great SMOKED salmon I suggest you order some! It's so worth it. We do this regularly living in the midwest. Quality of the smoked salmon is amazing, a must try!

Matt Guisinger

Great Job on packing our fish this trip. The best part was they opened at 7:30 am on Sunday so we could pick up our boxes before our flight. Great all around.

Zach Burstain

The fish wasn't properly processed. There was sea lice still attached to most of the fillets. The fillets weren't properly dried and had ice on the inside of the bag. This means that they won't last as long in the freezer. 0/5 Wouldn't recommend.

Affordable and quick fish processing

I cannot say enough good things about this place. Not only were they efficient but the quality of their packaging is top notch. They went above and beyond what I asked of them. Anytime I go down to Soldotna I will have my fish processed here. I can't thank them enough.

Cory Gunther

This place is amazing!!! Tanner's handled, stored, and processed our salmon all week long. Saved every filet safely with same or next-day turnaround. After 8 days of Salmon fishing we boxed up all the frozen fish filets and flew home. When you really think about it, it's very affordable. Over 150lbs processed for about $200.
