Skinner’s must be the spot for locals to get seafood. This place was busy for sure. For a mere $8.80 you get a bunch of shrimp, a potato and half an ear of corn, all pretty dang good.. The staff were really friendly, they had a pretty good selection of seafood, prices seemed right. If I had a kitchen in my hotel room, I would have loaded up on that fresh seafood.

The best (and the biggest) shrimp on the Gulf! Delicious and very affordable. We got steamed medium heads on (but really, they are huge!) for 5.80$ per pound. A meal (a huge platter with a baked potato, corn on the cob and tons if shrimp) is 8$. This is a great spot for local seafood.

We stopped in to grab fixings for a low country boil. The young lady who helped us was super awesome! She weighed seafood for us,adjusted the amounts according to our needs and gave us helpful hints to make sure we picked up all we needed. Stop in and see them! They have everything you need down to lemons, old Bay seasoning, and butter!! Made the last night of our visit to Dauphin Island pretty amazing!! We made shrimp eggs this morning from the leftovers and wow was the shrimp yummy!!!

We loved this place! Only $22 to feed the 2 of us fresh seafood. We ordered 1lb of royal reds, 1lb potato’s, 1/2lb sausage, 2 corns then hit the movie night on west end beach for dinner. For 2 broke college students, this way cheaper than going out! Highly recommend :)

Our second trip to Skinners was just as great as last time. They have fresh caught seafood from the Gulf, and they'll steam it for you, too! We loved the shrimp plate, which has a generous portion of shrimp, potatoes, and corn. Also tried the grouper, which tasted amazing and fresh! Definitely stop by whenever you're in the neighborhood. Hopefully we can come back soon!

SEAFOOD IS LIFE! We were going to do our on crab boil and the folks there helped us pick us out some shrimp and blue crab claws! Good lord at the portions and the quality of seafood! If I lived on the island I would eat from there daily ! They had everything from shrimp of all kinds, to crab, to all types of filets of fish! YA’ll THIS PLACE IS A MUST! FYI: they will also cook you a crab boil if you ain’t got time for that!

Skinner's is amazing. Our family stopped in at noon to order our crab, shrimp, and fish. They seasoned and steamed everything for us and we picked it up in time for dinner. The service at the counter was fantastic and the fresh homemade bisque was unbelievable. Don't visit Dauphin Island without stopping here.

These folks own a shrimp boat so you know what you order is fresh and local. Not a sit-down eatery but call and order a variety of prepared seafood and pick it up and head for the condo or beach house. My favorite is the "Steamer" with shrimp, corn on the cob, new potatoes and Conecuh sausage. Yumm. Also, Bisque is delicious. If I'm in the mood will grab something from seafood counter and grill it.

Lots of selections, kinda pricey but worth it. It's nice to get fresh seafood while on vacation. They have boudin, crawfish pies, and steaks so you are not just limited to seafood. Everyone was super friendly as well.

Truly local and fresh seafood! Living on the coast and eating tons of seafood, it's easy to tell when it's fresh and Skinner's does it right. You can either buy your fish and crustaceans raw to take home and cook yourself, or pay to have it seasoned and steamed onsite with their in-house blends. We chose the latter and were not disappointed. The flounder was falling apart on the fork it was so tender and the head on shrimp were juicy and flavorful. Truly a unique pick and cook experience for any seafood lover.

We love this place. You can buy the seafood and cook it yourself, or they will steam it for you for a nominal fee--add corn, potato, and Cole slaw for a full meal. They offer a wide variety of fish, shellfish, and even steaks, and the quality is excellent. We especially like the atmosphere; you feel as if the boat just docked out back with a load of shrimp.

I am pretty sure we were over charged! Shrimp was over steamed and rubbery especially for what we paid for it. Potatoes were too tough to cut with fork and by the time we got it back to campsite it was cold. Will not do that again.

I have been to many, many seafood places along the coasts and this is by far... The...best...seafood...I...have...ever...had!!!! Husband and I got the shrimp and fish baskets for $8 a head... That's right..$8!! You have to get it to go, but it's worth it! They have their own boat and catch fresh. Closed on Tuesdays though. I would eat here every darn day. Haha. Everyone was super nice and service was fast even though they were busy. Don't let the outside of the place fool you, it's very small, but little places like this are always the best places to eat! A+++++!

Fast and friendly service! Good price on fresh local (deliciously prepared) seafood. Plate lunch with 1/2 pound shrimp or fish steamed (mild, med, spicy) plus corn and potatoes was an awesome deal for the quick takeout we needed. The seabass and shrimp we got on these plates were great! There is no dine-in just takeout which is fine if that is what you are after.
