Wait was too long, staff was not any where to be found and when we did finally speak with one she was rude and couldn't be bothered. We finally decided to sit at the bar, bartender (him) was very nice, took care of what we needed and is the only reason I'm giving this location a 2 star review. Who ever is the district manager, they need to get their butt over their and retrain the whole staff.

09/12/19 around 6:30pm. Surprisingly not busy for the time. Three stars because our server (Ethan?) was extremely polite, apologetic about the wait, and for my husband missing part of his entree ($29 Seafarer's). Food was awkwardly spread out over his plate to make it look full. Ethan fixed that super quick when we brought it to his attention. Lobster was super overcooked (like chewing on rubber bands) and so were the scallops. Creamy Lang. & Norway Lobster Mashed Potatoes came out as an actual icecream scoop shape with 3 pieces of lobster (definitely not like the menu picture, not sure what happened there, maybe they were running low). So either the kitchen was understaffed or there wasn't an expediter. Don't plan on going back because of the food quality, not our server. He was great.

I ordered endless shrimp, received entree st then salad arrived. I ordered refills and after 20 min I gave up. The manager comped my meal but this was the worst experience ever in any restaurant. I wont go back there again.

Service was slow even though the restaurant was more than half empty. Took 10 min to just get our drinks ordered. Biscuits didn't show up until halfway through our meal and after having to ask several times. Most of the food was overcooked. Seafood was rubbery, steak was ordered medium and was brown all the way through. Cauliflower gratin was like a soup, except I had no spoon. Flavors were good and everything was served hot.

I am done with this place... 3rd time we have been here in the last year or two and it was terrible. All around. The service was slow, bad slow, the wait to get seated was about an hour and the place was half full, the problem was too few waiters for the crowd. We had a party of 12 adults and 4 kids, which I understand was probably bigger than what they try to accommodate. BUT at the same time they designated a small room and 2 waitress for us, so you would have thought that they had us covered. My friend had to ask about 3 times for a beer and he finally got one on the 4th ask. The mixed drinks were weak, and the waitress that took our drink orders did not keep the drinks with the meals, and they didn't keep the appetizers to the same tickets either, this caused big delays at the end when we tried to sort our tickets. We were there from 6:25 until 15 minutes past 10. Almost 4 hours from start to finish. The last hour was us waiting on the servers to sort out the drinks the appetizers and the meals to the correct tickets. We were invited here to celebrate a birthday so we were not expecting to be in a hurry but almost four hours is a little ridiculous. It would be different if the food was good, but the food was just okay. Every Lobster we had was overcooked and chewy. The shrimp was pretty good but everything else was not. The calamari appetizer was overcooked and overpriced they used to give you a lot for your money, it seems to me the proportions have gotten smaller and the price is not gotten any cheaper. Like I said earlier this was the third bad experience in about 18 months. We will not be back regardless of the circumstances. And it's such a shame we used to come here regularly about once a month. The food was good the service was great and the whole experience was worth the money. Sadly this is not the case anymore. I would avoid this Red Lobster and not waste the money.

Food delivered incorrectly. Some vegetables undercooked on one plate and perfectly on another plate when it was the same vegetable. Very slow service and they were not even busy. Most of the food was very good. Prices were average for franchise restaurants.

The side of lobster mashed potatoes is a proven winner many times over. If you're looking for a cheap menu option an often overlooked choice are the shrimp tacos. Tacos are good, plus you get the same salad and cheddar bay biscuits as the other options. Never been disappointed

I had the fish and chips (I'm not a huge seafood person), it was pretty good, nothing I'd specifically go their for but it was good. The staff was on point and made sure we had what we needed at the right times.

My husband had serious intestinal upset within 30 minutes of eating at Red Lobster in Traverse City. The server was pleasant but came to our table way too many times. Within 10 minutes of serving our food, she was at our table 3 or 4 times. Too many interruptions. The servings were small and the mac and cheese was Kraft. Way over priced meal. We won't be back.

Very good food for a classier relaxed dining experience. The prices are a little on the higher end, but you get so much food and it is very tasty so I will defend the prices. The music is quiet enough to peacefully allow conversation and loud enough to enjoy between topics. All of the atmosphere and food is almost overshadowed, by our server, Tina. Tina readily checked to ensure we had enough to drink, that our meal was going well, engaged in brief yet helpful and friendly conversation, and even brought us extra biscuits to take home with all the rest of the food we couldn't eat in one sitting. You can't teach someone to have this level of social grace. Tina is a natural and should be looked up to. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience! We will return!

Typical Red Lobster location here. It's decor is somewhat dated and faded on the inside. The service was pretty decent on the whole. The food was better than I expected! We went there for their Endless Shrimp promotion and the flavors are all tasty and the shrimps we cooked very well. The pricing for the Endless Shrimp was decent for what you receive, but a lot of the other items on the menu are quite expensive and I'd personally go elsewhere for my seafood needs. But, if you're looking for good shrimp in the area, this should be on your radar.

Who doesn't like Red Lobster? My parents go nearly once a week. My dad is a big fan of their fried shrimp. When I join them, I toggle between shrimp and crab legs. My mom is a huge fan of their mobile app / loyalty program. She uses it to put us on the waitlist and to cash in their rewards, usually for free dessert or appetizers. Cheddar bay biscuits are also not to be forgotten.

We went in for lunch & mgr. stopped by EVERY table to say hello but completely walked by & ignored ours, guess minorities aren't welcomed. Not surprised but how ironic our payment was. Luckily my co-workers & I all agreed not to have lunch mtgs. there again. At least our waitress was polite & was the one who told us it was in fact the mgr. that ignored us. Go elsewhere.

Good food as usual. Waiter seemed to be in a super hurry and didn't offer refills as often as he should have (or at all). The service here is not as consistent as it used to be and not as consistent as places like Olive Garden. Also, (as mentioned in my Olive Garden review) this restaurant (the whole chain?) is overdue for an interior renovation. I know that's an expensive proposition but enduring profitability may depend on it. Not real excited about coming back... but I'll be here again.

Once seated things moved along nice on the front side. I actually put a stopwatch on them with my phone. 2:30 in after placing drinks and appetizers we received our drinks. 2:50 after that appetizers came. That was the end of that. 25:53 after we got first word our food was coming. 42:00 in told it was about up. Fairly confident that our server forgot to enter our meals. 53:00 minutes after appetizers we received our food. The crab legs literally tasted like boiled water, we asked for more and to send those back. The second order was much better. I ordered the bay Harbour bowl. It arrived so salty that it was inedible. Even the server agreed and apologized. I asked for it to just be removed from our ticket. I stated that I did not need anything in its place. During this time not a sign of a manager to even inquire about our situation. You may be asking why the stopwatch. Last visit three years ago we sat for thirty minutes and no one ever came to our table to even welcome us to the restaurant. I see nothing has changed. As a local guide I strongly recommend that you not dine here based on these two incidents.

I will give 2 stars for the service & Dragon Broccoli. Our waiter was very nice & efficient. The food was beyond terrible! I ordered Admiral's Feast & the shrimp looked like it came from the garbage. I NEVER send food back-ever but this shrimp was the worst I ever seen. It looked like it was black in color and it was greasy! Even the bisquits had a weird taste. My wife's mashed potatoes (for some reason gave her 2 helpings, no veggies) were like plaster, her fish smelled like it was fished out of the toilet. It's been a long time since I was at this location & I now remember why...If I wouldn't have received a gift card for Christmas I wouldn't have even bothered. I'll never go back. So gross & disappointing!

I take Red Lobster for granted. This is a really good restaurant. The food was excellent and the service was reasonably fast for a busy lunch. We ordered off the lunch menu and the food still came out fast. If you have not had the cheese biscuits they are worth coming here because they are just fantastic. I also like their Caesar salad.

My family loves the biscuits and seafood at Red Lobster, but this visit missed the mark. The biscuits were good, but the rest of the meal was just mediocre at best. Our service was also very slow. We waited several times with empty glasses. My daughter had to wait for quite a while for a refill for her drink before she started eating her food. Hopefully, our next visit will be better.

Went here with my family today. 5 adults and 1 child at non peak hours. 1:30 for lunch with maybe 4 other tables in there so not crowded at all. Waited 15 minutes on a high chair before we finally went to get it ourselves. No biscuits prior to food coming out. Waited 10 minutes on drinks. Got my mom's order completely wrong and took 30 more minutes to send her food out. The waitress didn't write anything down when taking our order and we specifically asked how she could remember all the food orders. Spoiler alert: no one can recall 6 meal orders correctly. By the time my mom got her food, everyone else was done eating. She asked them to box her meal up and for drink refills that never came. Got drink orders wrong when we finally did get a single refill to go. I understand that the kitchen sometimes makes mistakes but ZERO effort was put into making this right. Worst service ever. My dad loves red lobster but swore he would never be back. Save yourself some $ and go to the shrimp basket.

It has been years since we have been to Red Lobster, but we decided to go to the Vestavia Red Lobster for Crab Fest yesterday. This was the most disappointing experience ever. We had to save money to go out for the first time in a long time. Out of the three types of crab legs I got two were spoiled and smelled horrible. They offered to bring more, but I requested only one more of the type that was not spoiled until I ate the claw that was not attached to the good type and it was spoiled. So I no longer had an appetite and told them I couldn't eat it. My mother's steak was too tough for her to eat. They did replace it with something else. In the end they did take my meal off the bill and reduced the price of hers. However, given this bad experience, we will not return to Red Lobster ever.

Everything was delicious. My husband had shrimp every way possible and I had the salmon in a ginger soy sauce omgosh it was to die for. Definitely have some great cooks. The only bad thing I can say is I really wanted a margaritas but, because we were in town to shop for Christmas that was not an option. Those things knock me out. Are waitress was super good as well

This place need to di a lot better job on cleanness. Hospitality on the service was great. While sitting there waiting for food I've seen flying bugs flying around landing table at time. What's worse was that a big black ant from the ceiling fell on my head. After that I didn't feel like eating there anymore so we left. The manager was nice to give us 20% discount off our bill. We give that and our tip to the server. She deserved that more letting her manager know that they got bug problem there. I don't think I'll go back there to eat at that place again. Red Lobster is good restuarant to eat at, but not at this place at this time.

Mashed potatoes for two meals came out cold....TWICE! The third time came out so hot that you couldn't touch and could tell that it was just microwaved as they nice looking little scoop was smeared flat to heat. The broccoli was cold as well. She brought out a second dish of broccoli and an extra for my daughter. Then brought a third when she brought back the third set of potatoes. Manager never came to apologize but actually stepped out of the building for most of our meal. The table behind us also had undercooked broccoli that had to be sent back. Then, never got an apology or a discount for the cold food. Plus the waitresses own attitude was to be desired. Won't be going there again for a while when my daughter says that the waitress was not very friendly...and she likes most people.

While we like the seafood dining option and close to town locale, the take out service was disappointing. I called in advance, with a toddler and a nap schedule but wasn't ready over an hour later (during the weekday around 2pm). They were not busy but I sat at the counter waiting for nearly 30 mins fory called ahead to go order... Apparently the phone number directs you to an off-site call center and the order wasn't placed by them. The order was correct when it finally was made and was good...but we wasted so much of my time that it was hardly worth the frustration and a crabby overslept toddler.

My partner and I both agree so far this year Tina was THE BEST SERVER WE HAVE HAD⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ we came in at 10pm a hour before they closed and she treated us like we were guest in her home. Tina made suggestions and recommendations like the Tilapia tacos for my partner (he loved them) I got the salmon. Had the shrimp tacos...and while this is not a place known for Tex-Mex food, the soft tacos were delicious, and a perfect size meal. 3 tacos, shredded cabbage, salsa, avocado crema and plenty of grilled shrimp! This is one of my favorite places to eat. The food is always delicious. There was a 5 min wait during the lunch hour, but theres normally no wait. I love the little biscuits they make, not nearly the same as made from the box. I ordered the stuffed mushrooms for an entree and they are to die for. Although the mushrooms were best, the steak and shrimp I ordered was amazing. The shrimp was perfectly cooked and the steak was cooked amazingly, it surprisingly had a little kick to it with the seasoning, but that made the taste better! Overall I would recommend coming here for lunch or dinner, either way the food is delicious. You might even get free food using the Red Lobster rewards app!!!

We had family in to help us pack up for a move out of state. Saturday evening we were all tired and very hungry. I called Traverse City Red Lobster to inquire about the wait, 20-25 minutes,then all bundled up and headed in. We were 13 in all. At first we were told the wait was about 45 minutes, I was a bit dismayed but we sat to wait. After about 20 minutes, the manager asked was separate tables OK , I said fine and we were then seated. Very quickly we had our drinks and food ordered. Service was wonderful the food even more so. We felt like royalty being treated to top notch dinner. Thank You so very much. One thing we will miss about the frozen north is that Red Lobster. It was our favorite go to.

Is there a way to give a restaurant no stars? Sunday evening and barely any customers, yet somehow still waited on our food for over an hour. Our waitress didn't return to our table a single time in over an hour to refill our drinks. Since we waited so long we had to get our food to go because our child was getting ill from being hungry. When we arrived at the hotel we discovered the steak was horribly overcooked, the baked potatoes were still raw, the crab legs had gotten cold so they were impossible to shell. The meal was $125 and I thought it was absolutely absurd to pay that kind of money for that kind of service.

Possibly one of the worst experiences ever. Took my family for a late Sunday dinner February 9 and the service was super slow. The hostess made us wait for a table of 4 while seating other customers with the same numbers, that came after us, were seated ahead of us. Finally made it to our table, and it takes a waiter 10 minutes to come and take our drink order and another 10 minutes before another waitress came and took our drink orders again. Get the drinks and 3 of the 4 were extra sour. Order our food and it takes almost 40 minutes for it to come out. Then my order was wrong. After speaking to management, they discounted our meal. Just a horrible overall experience.

I placed a Togo order and went to pick it up. I waited around the bar area for about 10 minutes until someone working there even entered the room. No big deal, but annoying. Then I got my order, opened it up when I got home & it was the wrong food. Sure I could’ve checked it at the restaurant, but I figured putting the correct order with the ticket was pretty basic stuff when it comes to bartending. They weren’t busy at all. Luckily I had a gift card so I didn’t waste any actual money. I upped it to 2 stars because, despite receiving the wrong order, it was cooked pretty nicely.

We showed up at about 9 15 PM after a basketball tournament and everything went super quick. The steaks were cooked to our liking and the biscuits were warm and tasty as per norm! Our server was very good and not too pushy. You could tell she has been doing her job a long time and knows when to come to the table and when to just let it be. Cant say enough good about this Red Lobster. After a bad experience at the last one I ate at, you guys totally redeemed yourselves! See you again soon!

We went there for lunch today, July 31. We were seated quickly and our waitress took our drink order. The food was not very good, the fish was really greasy. The popcorn shrimp tasted funny to my 8 year old. The rice was HARD! The table next to us, came in after us, ordered after us and got their food LONG before we did. Then- My son had a gift card for Red Lobster. The waitress came back after 10 minutes to say the card wasn’t working, even though I had checked to make sure it still had funds on it. Then another 10 minutes for her to come back again.... THEN other 10 minutes for the manager to get the gift card done. We spent over 90 minutes for lunch when it should have been under an hour.

We had an excellent lunch at Traverse City Michigan's Red Lobster! I did not know they had daily lunch specials! Mondays special is endless shrimp, mix and match wood skewered shrimp, hand breaded shrimp or garlic shrimp scampi for $15, with a side and salad. I was going to get the 11.99 shrimp but our server said if I did my initial order of the endless shrimp and couldn't eat all of it I could take it home....the difference was $11.99 for 12 hand breaded or $15 for what amounts to 30 shrimp!! We'll, somebody has lunch in a box for tomorrow! Thanks to our server for pointing that out to us, I got my 12, my husband had some and he has lunch for tomorrow, that's a good deal. I highly recommend this deal, it's different everyday, includes drink and appetizer specials too, check it out. As always it nautical theme and restful colors make for a comfortable dining experience, they opened the door to help me with my wheel chair and were very friendly and nice.

I was in Munson Hospital and the Uber Eats program does NOT work very well. I called to cancel my order that I placed. The Manager Joshua said yes no problem. That was very nice of him. It's ok, nothing special. The drinks are hit or miss and so is the food especially the pasta dishes. The staff is usually pretty friendly and you don't have to wait long for your food. They just need to up the quality and then they'd be one of the better places to dine in Traverse City.

I got very pleasant experience each time I visited here. Today I stopped by and just took out something without dining-in. I intended to redeem a reward since it is being expired today. But when I opened the app, it showed that there was no reward available, causing a very embarrassing situation to me. However, the waitress (or actually a manager??) took care of it without a doubt. She immediately processed the reward redemption and even gave me some biscuit for free. Fortunately the app restored its normal function and I was able to show the reward certificate to her although she didn't ask for that. Great service. Definitely will return. :)

We went during Unlimited Shrimp. Took 20 minutes to get water after being seated and we finally got food a bit over an hour of being there. The food was great and our server was great (I think the reason we weren't greeted and given water was because the host didn't assign a server to our table. Our server came over after noticing no one had come to us, even though it wasn't in her section.), And the food was great. Our server thought that one of the side dishes wasn't quite up to par (it was fine) and brought us a replacement in addition to the original. I didn't see the other rooms, but it seemed like servers were a bit short staffed for a Friday night. But great food, great service. We definitely had our money's worth, even with the wait.

The place somehow manages to keep their look contemporary and classical at the same time. The Admiral's Feast with tomato caprese was very good. Quiet and attentive server. I would enjoy going back.

We waited an hour and half to be seated and was told the wait was 35 minutes. We spent a total of 2 and half hours in Red Lobster to be served bad food. Both mine and my husbands shrimp scampi was dry and hard with little to none garlic butter. My popcorn shrimp was gritty like sand to chew , my ketchup had something in it, and my glass smelled like wet dog. My children had the same dish but wasn’t given the same amount my son a 4 shrimp and daughter 6. They offer to recook scampi but we were ready to go do they took off just one kid meal on ticket. I regret to say this is third time we had bad service at red lobster and the other two were at different location so we won’t be at another for a while!!

My friend and I came here and our service was TERRIBLE!!! We sat at our table for about 30 minutes until we were even ask what would we like as our beverage. We had to flag down our waiter for him to acknowledge that we were even there. I ordered the shrimp alfredo with a loaded baked potatoe as my side. I received my entree but I didn’t receive my side until it was time to go. We never received refills on our beverages. We were never asked if we needed anything or etc. When I tell you we had the worst experience I clearly mean we had the WORST experience!!!!!! (Oh and I filled out the questionnaire on my receipt and I have no been contacted back.)

I have patronized three different Red Lobsters in three different cities over the last year. Those locations include, Trussville, Oxford and Birmingham. It is evident to me, that Red Lobster has issues company-wide. The restaurants are very dated, the food is subpar, and overall there's just an environment of a restaurant chain who has not stayed up with the times in so many restaurant related areas. If you are a Red Lobster employee reading my review, do not feel the necessity to follow up with me. I appreciate your gift card, and it's what I used to pay for my last visit in Birmingham. But, I simply have no more interest in visiting any more Red Lobster's again.

My husband and I went on Saturday, February 2. It took 20 minutes to have our drink order taken. The manager passed our table twice and so did the hostess and neither of them bothered to check if our drink order had been taken. We could clearly see that our waitress was super busy. We seen that they sat her another table and I could hear her telling another waitress she could not wait on them because she was so busy. I don’t understand why management would allow that. That will lead to bad service. Our waitress was great she apologized for our wait. Bless her heart she could only do so much. I have managed a restaurant myself for over 10 years and this restaurant needs better management. On top of all this I got food poisoning on Sunday. Not sure I will ever be back to this Red Lobster considering the circumstances it is in.

I've visited Red Lopster about 4 time's since I've moved to AL. 3 of the time's if was awful! My food was cold and runny. The last time we ate there it was actually pretty gd. Unless ur by water, it's just not worth it. I use to live in Clearwater FL & Red Lopster there ( the whole area ) was great! AL, TENN, & GA were rather gross. Even the crab legs were dried out and hard to open. Usually I have no problem opening crab or lopster. I wouldn't recommend these restaurant's unless ur close to the water.

To make things nicer, the red lobster app is awesome. You eat $50 dollar and above and you something for free. Donno what the free stuff is going to be though. To be fair, all red lobster restaurant meet the standards which is why they are so popular. But nonetheless, this place is close to home and a great way to gain some weight.

Order the next one as soon you get the first ones, we wait more than 45 min to get 2nd round and the same with the biscuits except you are thinking to expend more than 3 hours, endless mean 1 portion every 60 min. Very unhappy. Food was excellent, as usual, but service was very poor. My wife is a server, and she tends to be over critical, and I know what happens to her so I usually tip high even with poor service, as we're all entitled to a bad day now & then, but I just couldn't. It seemed like amatuer hour. My kids were not the best behaved (by our standards), but our server would have had no idea as she was never around. A different server was kind enough to get us refills & more biscuits. And I attached a pic of the wait staff standing around talking the whole time in a public area. This wasn't the best representation as most of the time two more were hanging out there, too, blocking the walking area. Very disappointed.

I like to give the benefit of the doubt and assume under staffed or a new server, but an area of improvement on this visit.

The lobster bisque was BY FAR the worst I have ever had, but everything else was perfectly delicious. Our waiter was okay I suppose & I was a little disappointed that my kids's mac&cheese looked like that of krafts straight out of the box, for an expensive restaurant they could serve something better then that. Stopped in while we were in town at 4 in the afternoon. Hostest seemingly avoided eye contact and it took about 10 min to be acknowledged. Then we were told we would have to wait for 10 minutes to be seated due to poor staffing. There was no one in the place! We weren't even offered to be seated and have a drink order while awaiting service. Needless to say we left with several other customers following behind. Blows my mind that on a saturday at 4 pm. They couldn't get their poop together enough to seat people. May I also add this us this second time at this same establishment with similar service issues.

Was there with the family for the endless shrimp last Monday. Service was so slow! It took so long to get our food, dinks refills or even to get some hoit sauce!! Our poor server had so many tables to take care of. I felt so bad for her...but also it's not our fault. We recently went for the new promotional daily meal they have going right now. The food was great and I honestly wasn't expecting as big of portions as we had for a four course meal for $15! This is one place I wanted to visit for some time as I had some people talk about this. We asked for a recommendation and the lady serving us recommended Ultimate Feast, a platter with Crabs and Lobsters with a side. After having the food we were so full that it was difficult to get up from the seat. The food was delicious and I loved the experience. Must try restaurant.

We wanted to eat lunch here at noon on a Wednesday. We were greeted by an empty host stand. After 5 minutes of standing and being passed by numerous employees, including a manager, the host finally came and seated us. After ten minutes of looking at the menu, we were very hungry but were still not greeted by a server. As we were waiting, the manager went around to other tables asking how their food was. She looked at us but failed to approach us. The host walked by our table and we asked if anybody could take our order. He went to the kitchen and then came back with a basket of biscuits and asked for our order. After he asked for our order we said we were going somewhere else that wanted our money. It shouldn't be the host's job to take our order. Truly despicable service considering their half-empty restaurant. Spend your money somewhere else.

So bummed! Went to R.L to celebrate my mother in-law's 60th birthday. (her fav spot) Our table had two servers because of the size of our table. One was great and the other was not as great. I feel so bad because it's not easy to serve, but have never been in a situation like this before. (I actually thought it was a joke - how could this happen and take so long to get a bill) Our server never checked on us for refills or food updates until the end of the meal. We asked for our bill and she gave us a bill with wrong charges. She came back three times with incorrect charges and items. Instead of asking us what we order they avoided to talk to our table. I was so sad and disappointed. The manager came by as the waitress just avoided us. He gave us $10 off coupon for a future time but only valid for 1 month. He then disappear and never helped the waitress to resolve the billing or followed up with us. They did not have our bill corrected until 47 minutes later (after I started timing). We did not avoid our bill but wish they would just ask us instead of avoiding us. I am a huge believer in communication. The effort also goes a long way.
