We were in the area and stopped in. We had the Shrimp fried rice, Po'boy, catfish, fried shrimp, coleslaw and fries... It was all very good! Freshly cooked to order. Nice find if your in the mood for fried seafood. The lady working the counter was not very friendly though.

The food was not good at all. I got 2 order of Oysters for my Client. They was so salty we could not eat it. I let the manager know that night. When I went back with the receipt, she DID NOT want to give me the money back. I finally got the money back after arguing with her. I was not leaving with out my Client's money. It's as good as you're going to get to Fresh Off The Ocean Seafood in Birmingham Alabama. I grew up on the ocean. I am used to buying fish from the local fishermen. But there's no ocean here in Birmingham. So this is as close as I've came to Fresh seafood.

Great service and delicious seafood. It tastes fresher than most places nearby and they offer some exotic options like alligator and squid. What's really great about Koo's is the versatility of what they offer. You can buy uncooked seafood and take it home or have them cool it for you: fried or boiled. What's more that also have a combo menu for easy selection of cooked meals. Tap n Pay is accepted at this location. Overall perfect local spot for that seafood craving.

They have good food.. However u will have to pay 4 ur on hot sauce and tartar. That's right!!- pay 4 theirs .25 to .50 that is like Wow.. I Will have to go in a different dircection. That lacks taste, within the company, and its not good for customers experience.

I don't really care for the fried fish and shrimp but I love the boiled shrimp and crab legs. Overall its not bad. The lady who works the front counter is the sweetest though. Great service.

The food was fantastic. Some to rival George Sarris. BUT the service there was possibly the worst. My partner and I tried to get our beverages when we placed our order and several subsequent attempts were also thwarted by the woman who took our order. The couple next in line were actually yelled at and accused of screwing up the order and the counter woman persistently blamed the couple for ordering incorrectly. It was a take out order and I am pretty sure they knew whether they wanted their order cooked or raw to steam at home.(Cooked is how they ordered it).Between our order and their's almost $70 was spent and we all said we would never go back.

Great place to eat seafood. I had the shrimp Po-Boy & fries . It was a pretty big Po-Boy with lettuce and fries. Just enough for lunch. Would. Also like to try their great seafood in the market that is wrapped up to carry home. Will return again very clean and nice inside.. I will add they could. Add some. More. Seats and booths to dine in. There was only 3 booths and that isn't much for a Fridays crowd.

I went here for the first time last week. Very clean place. It's a fish market with an American Deli/Pacific deli type menu. The crab cakes were so good. The fried chicken was sub par. The gumbo soup will feed your soul. The shrimp po boy was good, but needed just a little more shrimp. The experience was not bad. I will be back

This place is hit or miss. I live right next door and will no longer bring my business here. For the first few visits I didn't deal with the owners, just a part time worker. My orders were correct, fresh and yummy. Today however I walked in and noticed a different cashier, an older woman. Upon receiving my order she insisted it was correct when it was not. I ordered chicken on my sandwich and received beef. When I asked for them to remake it she flat out ignored me and I had to ask atleast 3 times and she said "No" without making eye contact. Since she was refunding my money I asked if I could reorder with that money and she again said "No". They don't deserve my money and I'm sorry I ever gave it to them.

The fish is always seasoned on point! I usually get 1 piece of tilapia with 5 jumbo shrimp and fries and a large fruit punch! Its hard to find a good fish place that the prices arent ridiculous! And this place definitely meets the affordable mark! Now their Snow Crab legs price is pretty expensive to me for the little amount you get, but I dont go there for the crab anyway.

They were great at first but, I ordered the gumbo and 10 pc shrimp combo with 2 corns first they forgot the corn the corn was almost frozen when I bit into it took it back they warmed up the corn (put corn back in pot that I bit off with other food)and it was still cold I asked for extra seasoning shrimp was bland and dry. The place is clean, good customer service, but a bit pricey for me. 1lb of snow crab for 20 bucks and they were of the low budget valued crabs. There's not alot of variety when it comes to the broil and steamed meals, you have to pay for every price of anything that suppose to be originally in the broil platter, from the sausage and there is no egg option. Most definatley my last visit here.
