Staff was so helpful! We had 3 dozen live blue crab, and 2lb shrimp, and tuna dip that were so good we had to come back for snow crab and dungenous crab on our last day! Thanks for staying open a little late just for us! Highly recommend Billy’s Seafood!

Great place. This ain't a chain grocery stores imported farmed shrimp. Billy's is an authentic Gulf seafood market, featuring fresh local shrimp, oysters, fish and crabs. Their slogan is "if it swims, we've got it" and that's pretty much what you will find. It's worth the drive. You MUST try the Royal Red shrimp. Ask Billy's how to prepare them. A true Alabama delicacy.

Mike, the fishmonger who helped me was very nice and polite. He took good care of me and answered all my questions. They have some great looking seafood and shrimp. I got some royal reds and regular shrimp in addition to some nice oysters and snapper. Prices were very reasonable.

A busy family owned fish market that offers a great variety of seafood and more. As snowbirds visiting the area for the first time we wanted to see Billy's Seafood for ourselves. We stopped in on a Wednesday afternoon and we were pleasantly surprised at the number of fellow snowbirds that pulled in with us. The market is small and you are treated like family by the employees. The pungent smell of fresh caught seafood hits your as soon as you step in the door. Your first view is a wide selection of shrimp. From head-on Royal Reds to small salad size that have already had the heads removed. You can also find oysters, shrimp salad, a full line of seasonings and so much more. As for fish, they had fresh off the boat Flounder, Red Snapper and others. In our opinion, their pricing is terrific. Royal Reds were only $7.49 lb and XX Large shrimp were $12.99 lb. They will cook the shrimp for only a $1.00 per pound, either using a plan water method or your choice of seasonings. Plus they put them on ice to cool them down and then double bag them for the trip home. Who could ask for more?!?!? Well, you can get more by having them ship your favorite seafood via next day delivery across the U.S. While we waited for the shrimp to cook, we were entertained by one of the workers who is part of Billy's family with tales of travel and fishing in the area. He had also travel to Costa Rica and on some incredible trips. If you want great seafood at reasonable prices and you like supporting a family owned business, then this is an easy destination for you.

We came here looking for locally-caught fish to take home and were pleased with the selection as everything but the tilapia was from the Gulf. We ended up taking home several pounds of flounder (huge filets), cobia and mahi to eat over the next year until we're back in the area again. I only wish they had volunteered information on how to properly freeze it, as we didn't know to ask and I only learned upon researching after we got home that the plastic bags they had wrapped the fish in would not have sufficed. But we will likely be back next year.

Great place to get fresh seafood. These people are wonderful, and so helpful. You can not go wrong. Picked up shrimp on the way back to Illinois. They topped the coolers off with ice. Gave us a lesson in preparing the shrimp for cooking. And helped get the coolers back to the truck. All that and $4 less per pound than in Gulf Shores. So tasty. We will return.

Fresh seafood at a great price. They are prepared for the tourist heading home and packaged our fish for the trip, including filling our cooler with ice. Had the snapper last night and will be doing a neighborhood shrimp boil tonight to thank our neighbors for taking care of our cats and plants while we were gone. I also appreciate the biblical messages around the shop.
