We came to the end of our forty year trust with no notices, calls, thank yous, messages. Finally getting thru to them, I was told by our account manager of many years, that she no longer had that account; that it had been turned over to the Termination Dept, giving me the phone number but no Thank you's or any such mention that we had been a client for so long. Termination dept reached (again after several tries); responded by sending out of paper work (some one was sick). We returned the required paperwork and heard nothing. Out of the blue, a check for less than 5% of trust monies was sent. Marked on the check was "Partial termination distribution of trust" - no letter of explanation. Have tried for over a month to get in touch with Termination person but only get a voice mail, asking me to leave a message -- never get return call. Sent a "Contact Me' - message as well as daily voice mail. Nothing. Talked to various people, nothing. U S Trust has had the money almost four months now (one would think we were due some interest the money they have. Totally disgusted; afraid I'm being cheated. Soon to be four months past end of trust day. What would happen if a client was four months overdue to the trust dept?
