We have been with Waddell and Reed for several years and our Financial Planner is Phil Jasso. Our main complaint would be the statements are difficult to read but other than that our accounts have done well and we have attended events and had regular contact from his office.

I had a great financial advisor here Pete Matzke who recently retired. The new advisors have been terrible. They don't return phone calls and don't deal with any issues in a timely manner. Would not recommend investing here!

Had a pretty negative experience towards the end. Never heard from my advisor- requested multiple times to speak with him. The front office staff, although nice- did not build my confidence. I seemed to get different answers depending who I talked with. Would not recommend investing with them- or if you do, never try and pull your account. I had charges to the account to exit that I didn't know about (I'm sure I signed a document stating I did, but it would have been nice to hear it directly after discussing the redemption of my account many times) and ended up getting hundreds less than anticipated due to market fluctuations- which, I hate to say, I almost don't trust. Anyways, wouldn't recommend based on customer service. Did get ~7% ROI.

I've worked with Phil Jasso as a financial advisor for 6 years, after moving to Portland and taking some financial mentor-ship courses with Lunaria Financial in Multnomah village. I can't think of anyone being more helpful than Phil has been. We meet on a regular basis for portfolio reviews and re balancing. Phil has been persistent in continuing to ascertain my financial goals, and helping me understand about how I really feel about financial risk. He has helped me move from an aggressive portfolio to a more moderate one, as my needs have changed. He's listened to my opinions and interests in different sectors of the market and helped me learn how contemporary news and events translate into the different fund and investment opportunities I have. His invitations have encouraged me to me to attend quarterly updates with his company where current market trends are discussed. Because of my relationship with him in this capacity I feel I have a much stronger understanding not only of my own and my families assets, but of the way that markets, funds, bonds and stocks interrelate. I feel much better educated about financial matters than I ever have and that's in great part due to his concern for me and my well being. I feel very lucky and wish for others to have such an advisor /consultant that they can have confidence in.

My financial advisor at Waddell & Reed is Phil Jasso. I've worked with him for the past couple of years. Phil has build my portfolio and worked with me on reaching my financial goals. I highly recommend Phil without reservation because he's an excellent advisor and communicator. We meet regularly and he makes a concerted effort to answer my questions and understand my current financial situation, so that he can better advise me on my financial accounts. On a more personal note about Phil, he's very sociable, warm, and friendly. He's sincere and makes me feel like a valued client. I feel confident that Phil is working with me and serving my best interest.
