I am a small business owner, who used BA Kerr Financial for about 18 months. During that time, I was continually disappointed by the poor customer service from the staff and their numerous mistakes.
A few reasons I took my business elsewhere are:
- Constant clerical errors (ranging from incorrect payroll information to filing tax payments to incorrect periods)
- Poor communication (Upon dealing with some issues, I could would rarely get any cooperation over the phone. I would have to meet in person to resolve anything)
- Mishandling of confidential tax documents (I received other customer's tax documents TWICE)
- Continual up-charging for services (even services that I was performing myself, such as payroll entry)
- Disregard for customer trust (I payed for the QuickBooks license for over a year before I was given administrative access to my account)
I do understand that mistakes happen from time-to-time, but at one point, I actually had the IRS sending me letters due to an issue from their end. With that said, I could not continue to let a party who is prone to so many mistakes handle my taxes.
I seriously hope that the internal issues improve over time. I suspect that my business was viewed as a "small fish" in the organization leader's eyes, so my matters were delegated to less knowledgeable members. I'm sure, in the right hands, I would have been happier with their service.
The amount of frustration and anxiety coming from this establishment is beyond disappointing.
