Dealing with Fannie Mae has been one of the worst experiences of my life. My wife and I bought a foreclosed house from Fannie Mae a few months back. The closing process for this house has been 4+ months. Additionally, they've given us closing dates at particular times that we need to be available for. The times were in the middle of the week at 8:30 am. My wife and I both work during this time. We asked for it to be rescheduled for after work or weekend and they refused. After taking the day off to sign, Fannie Mae cancelled on us each time with less than 24 hours notice. We took the day off work for nothing. We've called and rescheduled carpet installations, carpet cleanings, refrigerator installations, moving trucks, etc. numerous times. Each time we call to reschedule for Fannie Mae's new closing date that doesn't happen. To make things worse, my wife is now 3 weeks away from her due date for our first child. If we would have known this process would be such a nightmare and taken this long, we would have walked away from this house a long time ago. If you are looking at a house that is Fannie Mae owned, DON'T DO IT!!!!

they just put a house up for sale on my street that NEEDS TO BE condemned THEIRS RATS RACOON S, MICE AND THERE ROOFS HAVE BEEN PUT OVER THIS HOUSE ONLY FOR WATER TO POUR IN AND NOW THERE IS MOLD AND MILDEW IT SMELLS VERY BAD IT HAS BEEN SITTING FOR YEARS MANY YEARS

Ya, seriously dissapointed. They really put me through quite a lot for nothing. Should have known when the first thing they asked me to sign was an agreement not to sue without a penalty of 5K. Led me on for days just to slam me with multiple offers when i was first to offer asking price. Hell i offered them their current asking price when it was first listed for 54K, 4 months ago. They turned it down saying they can only except full asking price for 6 months. You think they would have just called me when they lowered it to me my offer price 4 months later. Instead they maintained radio silence after verbally implying that my offer would be excepted. I'll never do buisness with Fannie Mae.
