My wife went to this person while going through a divorce to her first husband, and he set her up with a Prudential annuity plan. When I was reviewing our finances I saw this and asked her what it was. I knew immediately it was not good. I had an independent financial professional review this plan and all he could do was shake his head in disbelief. Mr Truman set himself up (not my wife) for a nice fat plan full of sales commissions, and the fees are eating away at my wife's money. She is LOCKED INTO this deal and can't get out of it without all kinds of penalties. How good can it be if you have to imprison your clients? He also set himself up by adding on a rider for a "guaranteed" income, but of course there are all kinds of strings attached. My wife's mom also realized too late that she was being victimized and no longer uses Mr. Truman. How do you sleep at night? Folks, do yourself a favor and get an independent, fee-based professional for financial help, as all of the financial publications advise. They work by the hour and have your best interests at heart and will not just steer you to the plans that THEY make the most money on.
