The recent release of the records of the three major banks stating that they made 6 billion dollars on overdraft and ATM charges I believe that the Bank of New Hampshire is trying to compete. My wife had been a customer of Laconia Savings for many year and have recently closed her accounts with them due to the response to charges made on a credit card purchased which she tried to stop on the Saturday and the bank didn't make any response until the following Tuesday reversed the charges only to reinstate them a month later Now they transferred her loan balance to a personal loan the statement was dated 1/15 postmarked 1/20 and received on 1/25 with a due date of 1/30 as we now reside in Florida. If it takes them 10 days to get it to her how do they expect to have it paid by 1/30. Especially as you can not pay on line unless you have a checking or savings account with THEM. Get into the 21st century.

You'd be MUCH better off with a small, local Bank or credit union. Bank of NH is T-E-R-R-I-B-L-E now with it's new "management team". They are trying to act like a large BofA sized bank...and that means zero customer service, etc... You would be just a number that they squeeze for fees. They are likely readying BNH to sell it off. Can't imagine any other reason that they chased the prior management team away. Sad. Stay away....trust a smaller Bank or credit union with your accounts.

Its usually a pretty good bank. I think the ppl are nice. Only problem I had is when I deposited money in their ATMs at two different BNH banks right at their bank , it took so long to credit my account and I couldn't use it til they did. Thought with it right there especially it would be counted that day or at the very least, the next day. If I would of known I wouldn't of put it in there and gone in or to drive thru. Otherwise, is cool. And get to buy concert tickets early for being member!

We came out of Bank of NH shaking our heads. We were treated so rudely there, my Uncle and I both, by one of the tellers. She made everything very difficult without offering any real service, and was condescending and a little threatening. (Ill do this for you this one time, but next time you better have this and that.) I had questions and without being willing to help, she just throws sheets at me to fill out. the manager at the desk was very friendly and helpful, so that did help us. We only use Bank of NH to deposit our rent as that’s where my landlord withdraws from. We just went into TD Bank and they were so friendly and hospitable, warm and helpful! They have never given us any issues and are always suggesting things to be helpful. Thank you so much TD Bank for years of great service!

I've been struggling financially due to having kidney cancer and not getting a raise for 10 years. I was afraid to give my notice at my job because I needed my health insurance. I finally got the courage up to start a new job and after going through a training period I will be making much more money. After explaining my situation. This bank has been very supportive when I have had an issue. Thank you :)
