They appear give honest and researched advice on stocks. They are better than most to call to review your account, at least once a year. The advice is more proactive than reactive. They do give you a lot more attention if you are new and haven't yet signed up for additional services such as life insurance. American Express did the same thing only a little more sales pressure. Don't get fooled by their concern for your well being. I believe it is insincere and has more to do about making money off of you. Always be careful as you never know who is going to take all your money. Best advice is to not keep all your eggs in one basket.

I am not pleased at all with the customer service and investment performance of Sandvold. First, you won't ever get phone calls. If you leave a voice mail with anyone, you won't get a call back for 2 or more days. You will be told they are waiting for phone calls from other people if you are lucky enough to talk to one of them. You won't get phone calls to move your investments if a fund isn't doing well. If you complain, Terry, the owner, may call you and make all kinds of excuses but then the phone tag game will continue (apparently he is always in meetings even if you return his call 2 minutes after he called you) and then he won't call back. My investment in my employer's retirement plan is performing much better than my investments with Sandvold. But if you're ok with underperforming investments and being treated like a non-entity, by all means, this is the place for you.
