Josh Bartlett worked with my daughter, a high school senior, to find us affordable colleges. The 3 of us had several meetings, at his office and at our home, to review a detailed list of schools he had identified as good matches for my daughter. The net result was her acceptance to a good school we can afford. I would have had no idea how to get us to this point. College financial aid is a byzantine miasma -- it's a mess, with two big problems: 1. The paperwork is awful, including the FAFSA, and 2. It's difficult to discern which school really offers a good deal, just because there are a lot of caveats to consider. What Josh did is walk us through the paperwork process, practically holding our hands as we completed it. And more important, he knows how to find good deals. He understands the language and intricacies of financial aid. Through it all, he's patient, kind, shrewd, understated -- just easy and pleasant to work with. He's a pro. And he saved me tens of thousands of dollars. If you have a teenager en route to college, call Josh. You'll be so glad you did.

Nothing but praise for Josh and the team at Accolade Financial. We used their services for our daughter's college prep and search. They took the pressure off of us by working with our daughter to find the colleges that were the best fit for her (and us financially). It was great having them weed out all the schools that didn't fit her needs, thus saving us a lot of money on campus visits. Accolade was awesome at giving us recommendations for essay writing and keeping us on track with deadlines.
