I'm pretty sure this company is fraud. I received a call from them regarding a balance I have with a hospital that is in a different collection agency's hands. I had already set up payment arrangements with the first collection agency that had contacted me about this. When i said that to the representative at Financial Recoveries, she said she has no record of any payment and doesn't know who the other agency is and she got really nasty. I contacted the hospital and they confirmed they had given over the balance to the first agency and they have no idea who Financial Recoveries are.

This place screams fake company trying to get your info, but they are unfortunately real. Website is broken, difficult to pay debt, no one answers the phone, but they WILL tank your credit score.

Last month a payment was made, and then they tried to say it wasn’t paid. The amount reflects the amount with the payment being made. They called more than once to try and get an extra payment.

If im not mistaking the lady name was Barbara. She was rude and really nasty. She also act like whatever was sent to the collection agency was owed to her. The first person I spoke to from that collection agency was a very nice lady. The hospital bill was supposed to be paid 3 years ago and she insist that it is what it is it is going to stay on my report she's very unprofessional.

assuming this is the company I called (since they refused to identify themselves when answering the phone nor wanted to spell their name for me) employees are highly unprofessional and hang up on people trying to manage & resolve their financial situation. I was given the number by hospital billing and tried to call and resolve some medical bills. Call went straight to an answering type of service operator. After a long hold someone answered with "yes?". No company, no name. Gave me a name after I insisted but would refuse to name the company they were working for, later called it "Finnrec" or "Fin Rec" but again, refused to spell it for me so I could verify I was actually talking to a legitimate company. The person on the phone decided she wouldn't do business with me and hung up. Again - when it is regarding a person's financial likelihood- this kind of unprofessional behavior is highly suspicious and no one should be disclosing any personal information to a business operating this way. Bottom line: if someone calls you and you are a company, regardless of industry: state name of company + your name. I am not going to discuss my financial state with some random person unwilling to identify themselves. Truly disrespectful behavior! If you are saving money by utilizing call centers that manage multiple collection services; insist they treat people respectful and with some empathy and perhaps life would be easier for both sides.
