Years ago in college, on a whim I attended a small presentation put together by Brandon only because I was a starving college student and he was providing free dinner to all attendees. This turned out to be the greatest decision ever!
Brandon spent almost an infinite amount of time teaching me all about financial planning and the ins and outs of money management in our first 3 to 4 meetings. I had just graduated college with a terrifying mountain of student loan debt and was coming from parents who had zero money management skills of their own so I had no idea what I was doing. After our first few meetings, I felt like an educated, retirement saving pro. The greatest part is that Brandon does not allow you to actually start investing with him until you have your bases covered: a certain amount of money saved in the bank, insurance policies and wills/medical POAs to protect your assets, etc. This meant he was even spending all of that time teaching me without yet making any money off of me! Which is completely the opposite of what a lot of financial advisors seem to do, many are downright pushy about investing right off the bat even if you aren't comfortable with it or financially stable first.
Now, I'm 4 years out of college and while the mountain of student debt is unfortunately not going away unless I win the lottery at least twice, I feel confident, stable and protected with my retirement savings because of Brandon. I even put a clause in my will that if I die, my parents only get my life insurance money if they agree to meet with Brandon too (I'm not kidding when I say they have no money management skills). Brandon doesn't just make sure you have the right money saved in the right places, he makes sure you understand WHY.
