We love working with Cody! As a Wedding Planner, Cody makes sure the Bridal Party, Family, Friends and Guests are all very comfortable and happy. But she also makes sure the vendors are happy too- she communicates with everyone and is always right there when you need her. Her detailed timelines are always clear and complete. On the day of the wedding, she doesn't forget any detail- her decorations and efficiency are very impressive. We highly recommend Cody to brides and vendors.

I could write novels about my experience with Cody and Amore Events. If I had to give a bride ANY advice about anything at all having to do with their wedding it would hands down be "hire Cody Grannis." Our wedding day could not have been more perfect and it was all due to Cody's tireless efforts and the inexplicable energy she throws into each of her brides weddings. You truly feel like her one and only bride and top priority throughout the whole planning process. She has the ability to ease any worries you might have with a simple phone call. She's been there for me through every step of this normally strenuous and anxiety provoking process and has been kind and patient, and excited right along with me. She is worth every penny and more and is the best investment we made toward our wedding. Cody is respectful of your budget and helps you find ways to accomplish everything you dreamed of for your wedding...Cody saved us THOUSANDS of dollars with her creativity and connections. She is always giving her own time and money to make her brides happy. Cody not only planned my entire wedding but she is unbelievably talented with floral design and did all of my flowers as well and wish I could post pictures along with this review... they were absolutely stunning. She also called me the day before my wedding and surprised me with the fact that she had rented gold chiavari chairs for us to complete the look.. it was the best surprise ever... I couldn't believe it. For those of you who do not know what they are... google it.. they are beautiful.. and expensive to rent! She is literally the most generous person on this earth. I will always remember that sweet surprise my heart was so filled with joy! When I walked into the reception room I was just blown away. Cody also helped support and manage my mom throughout the process too. Wedding planning can be especially stressful for mothers and daughters and Cody was the perfect buffer between my mom and I. My mom started referring to things (not even having to do with the wedding) as "what would Cody do!?" or "Thats a Cody question." I could go on for days but in short Cody is the best decision you could make for yourself.. you will gain a friend... sanity during your planning process.. and you will undoubtedly have the wedding of your dreams. Our guests were so blown away by everything and it was all thanks to Cody's recommendations and hard work. I LOVE YOU CODY!!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE everything about Cody and her team. My September 2016 wedding was absolutely perfect and aided immensely by the assistance of Cody and Karen. From the vision to the implementation, everything was lovingly cared for with attention to detail and recognition of this being our special day. I had so many people comment on how relaxed I was all day of my wedding -- and I have a lot of that to owe to knowing that Karen had taken care of everything and I didn't have to worry! Where to even begin? When I first started the wedding planning process, I considered the value of obtaining a wedding planner. Our budget was pretty tight, especially for the Charlottesville area, and I went back and forth on if it was worth the cost. From my first conversation with Cody, I knew there was no other way to do this, except with her by my side. IT WAS THE BEST WEDDING PLANNING DECISION I could have ever made!!! Worth her weight in gold, extraordinarily kind, professional, and caring, she is the best of the best. Honestly, I do not have any other experience with wedding planners, but I cannot imagine working with anyone else. From day one, Cody was completely on top of it (she was hired as a full planner) and presented her recommendations and ideas in a completely organized, and stress-free way (I tend to get stressed out with anything that involves planning). She was completely down to earth, and available whenever we needed her. If we would have paid her by the hour, she would have been worth 10X her cost. She was extremely aware of our constrained budget, and never at any point made us feel like we were getting anything but the best. And we did. A little over a week since our wedding, and I still daydream about the most perfect day. Seeming flawless, and off without a hitch (even though it poured all day). She made all my dreams come true, and every single guest mentioned what a beautiful wedding, with personalized touches. It was extraordinary to me that even though this is Cody's profession, every single detail felt very personal to my husband and me. I cannot say enough how much I adore this human! She is the best, and I promise if you go with her it will be the best wedding planning decision you have ever made!

Cody was the absolute best part of my wedding, and hiring her was the best decision I made during the planning process. HIRE HER, and do it IMMEDIATELY. I cannot speak highly enough about Cody's services. There are a million reasons why we loved Cody, but I want to highlight three: cost/value, professionalism/reputation, and how much she really cares about her couples. First, she paid for herself by securing some of the best vendors in the area at amazing prices--people were bending over backwards to work with her because of her amazing reputation in the industry. Second, she is incredibly on top of everything and willing to go above and beyond for every bride. Our caterer was not the most responsive, but Cody happily took on the process of managing her, even offering to drive to her business in person when we had a pressing question that needed to be answered. She was, simply, a life-saver. In addition to her amazing attitude and willingness to help, she has an incredible wealth of planning resources--a checklist that covers everything you'll need to do throughout the planning process, detailed timelines, budget spreadsheet, and more. Third, beyond her incredible services, know that by hiring Cody, you are hiring someone who truly cares about you as a person and will do everything possible to make your wedding unique and a genuine reflection of you as a couple. Throughout this process, Cody became a friend and confidant, and we will miss her so much now that this part of our lives has ended.

Please read the following reasons why booking Amore Events by Cody is the BEST DECISION you could make! Cody is extremely organized. During our first phone call she gathered information of our wants and desires for a wedding. Within 48 hours we were sent a list of potential venues, vendors, pricing, reviews, and more ideas for our big day. She drafted a timeline of tasks to do and when to do them. This was very comforting as a bride, because as you know it’s “THIS decision and THAT decision,” Cody calmed us down by showing us what decisions needed to be made, and when. Cody is warm and has one of the BIGGEST HEARTS of anyone I have ever met. She took care of us as the bride, groom, and honestly our families as well. In moments of high stress Cody knew when to make us laugh, when to help us focus and prioritize, and when to just give us a hug. Cody didn’t just treat us like clients in a typical way. She went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable through out this process and made sure it was the wedding WE wanted. She listened to our dreams and turned them into a reality. Cody is prompt and professional. While having a good relationship with us as clients was important, it didn’t take long to realize that EVERY vendor we worked with loved Cody just as much as we did. She was never late to a meeting, she always followed up, she checked in, and she communicated extremely well. THIS WAS VITAL. To have a mediator between you and other vendors in the initial process was crucial. It saved us so much time and stress knowing she was reaching out to vendors, sending them the wedding timeline, and keeping everyone on schedule. Cody is an artist. Her attention to detail is unreal and this made the decor part of the wedding planning so fun and relaxing. Cody became our cheerleader. If we wanted this color she would find it. If we wanted those floral arrangements she would do it. She created an entire “vision board” for us to see what the actual day would look like. From the tablecloths, to the flatware she helped us PICK IT ALL. On our wedding day when I walked into the venue after it was set up, it literally took my breath away. Cody had followed through with EVERY decor decision we made and made it look more upgraded than we could ever ask for. Cody is willing to work with your budget. If you are hesitant to have a wedding planner because of budget, this is an exact reason why you need Cody. She knows how to strategize on where wedding money is best spent. We wholeheartedly trusted her when discussing areas we could save money on for our wedding. Quite frankly now that the wedding is done, having Amore Events by Cody was the best money we ever spent. Cody has a strong team. When you get to your actual wedding day, Cody provides enough staff to keep the event running smoothly. She had multiple assistants, including Juan who could continue to provide proper direction. This was comforting as we knew Cody could not be everywhere at once. No matter how beautiful a wedding is, if it’s not organized guests can sense the stress. To know the day of that wouldn’t be an issue, I was completely relaxed. All I was nervous about was not tripping down that aisle ;-) By the end of our wedding night, I almost teared up giving Cody a hug goodbye. She was and is so much more than a wedding planner. We consider her a dear friend and a huge reason as to why our wedding went off without a glitch. Our guests have continually told us, “That was the best wedding we have ever been to,” and Cody made it that perfect for us. Nothing was out of place. Nothing went wrong. I know reading this you may think, “this sounds too good to be true,” but thats the level of expertise you will receive with Amore Events by Cody. We having nothing but glowing things to say about Cody. She is really a top notch planner. From the initial consult, we clicked. It's hard not to click with some like her, she is so good at what she does and she has a awesome personality too. We just really loved her energy and personality. We don't live the area, so we really leaned on her heavily for vendor comparisons -- and I kid you not, every single suggestion was spot on. She takes into account theme and cost into everything. She laid out a beautiful rustic wedding for us at Early Mountain Vineyards -- it was really stunning, like out of a magazine, she incorporated everything (farm tables, wine barrels, bistro lights, lanterns, candles, etc ..) She also does a great job mediating between us and vendors. She actually was able to help us cut costs on rentals -- oh and not to mention she will save you tons of money if you have her do the floral arrangements. Ask her to show you picture of her arrangements/bouquets from past wedding -- they are professional quality. Cody also has a huge inventory of rustic themed decorations that is at your disposal -- this will also help you save some (every little bit helps!) Just talk to her and you'll get it. Everything we're saying will make sense -- she's great at the planning process, super responsive to her clients, and a beast on handling day-of responsibilities. A++. Not only did we luck out and find a great planner, but we have a new friend. As you can see by previous reviews, you are in good hands!!

To start off, I thought that I wouldn't need a wedding planner until a few months before the wedding. Turns out your wedding can be pretty stressful. The minute my mom and I talked to Cody, it was like a huge weight had been lifted off our shoulders. We chose to only have a day of planner. However, Cody went above and beyond and was available and there for us every last step of the way. If I emailed her a question that wasn't too urgent, she would still get back to me within an hour. She was absolutely incredible! Not only was she always available, it almost seemed like I was planning my wedding with my best friend. She has a great way of guiding brides without being judgmental nor to heavy handed. I never once questioned her work ethic or if the big event would turn out okay. Well, it didn't turn out just okay, it turned out amazing! Everything I could have asked for was that way because of Cody. I should mention that Cody is not only a great and well organized planner, she also has a ton of great decor which she does a wonderful job setting up which sets the stage and romantic atmosphere for the night! There is nothing negative I can say about Amore Events by Cody. Cody did an amazing job and is absolutely a miracle worker! I couldn't of asked for more!
