Rock Creek Gardens really disappointed me. Upon arriving the space was very nice--great for an outdoor wedding. However, the wedding I was in that was held at Rock Creek was during a terrible storm and outdoors was looking like it wasn't going to work. I am aware that the weather is not the venue's fault, however, I am giving a low rating because I was disappointed with how the staff at Rock Creek handled the storm and the bride on her wedding. The power was out at the venue and they did little to comfort the bride or her family and assure her that the event would be fine. They were unable to give any solutions of how to fix the wedding and it ended up going off with a lot of errors that made the bride very disappointed. As I was helping to set up the wedding I did not see the coordinators all day--the entire group of bridesmaids was down setting up the reception hall and the wedding coordinators were no where to be found. Additionally, when they called the bride to address a few issues they were impatient, rude and stubborn. The entire day was very stressful and the venue did not seem to understand that they were making it worse. I would not recommend any one using Rock Creek Gardens for their wedding, I was not impressed.

Rock Creek Gardens is an absolute dream! It is a perfect hidden gem venue with all the right amenities! Our wedding guests had nothing but great things to say about the beauty of this place and were so impressed! As a bride, they made my wedding day stress free and made all of the visions I had for my perfect day come true and then some! I would highly recommend this venue to any couple looking for an amazing outdoor venue with natural beauty and elegant charm!

I recently helped my son with his proposal to his now fiancé at rock creek. Grace was so incredibly helpful helping us create that very special moment. It was private, beautiful and a monent we will never forget. Next August they will be exchanging their vows in the same beautiful setting. I found RCG at the Tacoma Wedding Expo. They had large prints up and as soon as I saw the photos I knew this is where I wanted to get married! We went and toured a couple of months later - it was raining - but it was absolutely beautiful, we both fell in love immediately. We didn't tour any other venues because the ones we had booked tours for (for comparison - we we worried about jumping the gun on the first venue we found and loved) had rescheduled our tours. Not something I'd want on my wedding day, so we went with our gut instinct, which was easily the biggest (and best!) decision we made during our whole wedding planning experience. RCG was amazingly communicative and always easy to get a hold of, whether by phone or email. Once we got our day of coordinator assigned, Amber reached out to us and she was awesome from the get go. Super friendly, very organized, and very fun to work with. She kept me reminded of things when I'd forget and really kept me on track. She did practically all of the coordinating with my vendors, I hardly talked with any of them other than tastings/estimates/booking, which made everything run so smoothly. Then come around to our rehearsal dinner, she worked with us since a couple of our bridal party members weren't in state at the time. Finally the wedding day and she killed it! She kept everything on track and I didn't have to worry about anything or even think once about keeping things smooth that day. The venue itself is so beautiful and well worth the price, considering all it comes with. Being able to truly enjoy such an important day was well worth it. Thank you Amber & RCG staff! I absolutely LOVED my wedding at Rock Creek Gardens. It was the perfect setting for my wedding and it was the exact look I was going for. My fiancé and I decided to do a Thursday evening wedding to save on costs and we were so happy that we did. The Good: Rock Creek Gardens is a great venue for couples who do not want to do a ton of decorating (you can if you would like). They have almost everything that you need like chairs and tables so rentals are needed only for personal tastes. One thing I love is that they have enough chairs to cover both the ceremony and reception. Their staff was very responsive and I got my questions answered very quickly. Another reason we choose RCG was that they have in-house day of coordinators that they assign to you. We LOVED our coordinator. She was absolutely wonderful to work with. One thing to note with this is that their coordinators work for RCG and you may want to bring in some help which we did. They have a rain plan. Thankfully we did not need this at all because our wedding was 100 degrees but it made me feel so much better that if we did have rain we would still be able to have a lovely wedding. You can purchase sparklers for an exit through the venue and they handle the clean-up and everything. This was well worth the $50ish we spent. They have preferred caterers and we went with Mama Stortini’s and absolutely LOVED the food. You can choose your own catering company but I believe there is an additional fee for that. Things to watch out for: There aren’t any BADs from us but instead just a few things to watch out for. If you are planning on having over 150 guests there is an additional fee (I did ask and this is not a hard number so if you have 155 I’m sure they won’t charge you). Also if you need additional time (more than 9 hours for the event and 1 hour of cleaning) then you will be charged per hour. Bring your own trash bags! This was something I was not aware of until the following day but my clean-up crew told me that they didn’t have trash bags for us to use. You should probably just have a box of cleaning supplies (paper towels, trash bags, ect.). RCG is very proud of their venue as they should be and they may not allow you to do certain things. One thing we struggled with was during our ceremony we provided babysitting for children 5 and under. We wanted them babysat inside the carriage house so that they would be contained and easier to watch. We were not told until 1 month before this wouldn’t be an option but thankfully they relented when the forecast predicted 104 degrees. You will need to rent the drapery fabric for the arbor. This will run you $250.00 but they put it up. We did not go with their preferred florist and I do wish that they had more than one option. My fiancé and I felt a little pressured by the fact that their florist can get in earlier than if you hire someone different. Things to save costs: We choose a Thursday wedding which saved us about $3000.00. We also purchased our own linens which RCG allowed us to do (usually the catering company does this). We saved at least $300 plus I can resell the linens. All in all we are both so happy with our choice of venues and I would totally book with them again!

Where to begin -- the planning process with Nicole was seamless and I never once felt pressured into making quick decisions. She responded to my frequent emails with questions in a timely and respectful manner. Although both days touring the property were rainy and grey, the property was well-kept and the PNW beauty spoke for itself. With Elise, being an out of state bride, she took the time to Skype me to discuss plans as well as a walk-through when I was in town. She responded to both texts and emails timely and honored my vision. I had no worries the day of with a supportive team! The property contains so many beautiful photo opportunities, unique elements, and a wonderful bridal house. Although it rained each time I toured, our day was a gorgeous Spring day with a view of Rainer. Thank you to all from RCG who took part!

Our experience with Rock Creek Gardens was great, the venue was beautiful and the staff was very helpful. Our coordinator Mary made the wedding day a smooth one for us, she managed the vendors successfully and took that responsibility off of us. The scenery is amazing and plenty of parking for a big wedding. Reccomended to future couples.

The perfect place for our wedding! Our wedding coordinator Elise ( who was provided through the venue) was professional and personable. She made everything stress free and enjoyable! The grounds are lovely and so cozy. Would absolutely recommend to anyone wanting a simple elegant outdoor wedding !!! Will always love this spot.

Sunday May 7th, I was a part of an amazing mock wedding for an open house even at Rock Creek. The staff, the venue, the catering , and the overall atmosphere was nothing short of breath-taking! Every one of the ladies working for the venue made me feel extremely comfortable on my special day ;) If you're looking for a place to book your wedding venue , and TRULY feel like your business is valued.... Rock Creek Gardens should head your list, period. 5 Stars isn't enough! :)
