I had the pleasure of working with Lori of Elegant Affairs and cannot say enough good things about my experience. Being a photographer who works 30-40 weddings a year, I work with ALL kinds of designers, planners and day-of coordinators who span the gamut of skill set, personality, and professionalism. Lori hit the mark in all categories. In the lead up to the wedding she was organized and communicative, making sure the couple's priorities for pictures and the necessary logistics to make those pictures happen was matched in her master timeline. The event was a Northwest destination event and, as can be expected for a mid-October date, rain fell for the couple who was dead set on an outdoor ceremony. I loved watching Lori's experience and understanding of human nature come into play as she massaged expectations for the couple and guests toward an end result she knew the couple would be most happy with. She deftly and quickly worked with the floral designer to recreate the outdoor feel for an indoor ceremony and the couple was thrilled. If you are looking for an event planner/designer who can make the difficult seem effortless and beautiful and do it all with a sweet smile and a sharp sense of humor, Lori should be the first on your list.
