Better Events did a beautiful job setting up our wedding at Stone Manor Country Club in Middletown, MD. Better Events was recommended to us by my cousin who had a good experience with them at his wedding. We did not use Better Events for our food since wanted a certain type of food, so we used them for flatware, servers and bar setup. Roberto is very professional and knows what he is doing. We went to his office several times to meet with him and go over everything. He does offer some deals if you sign before a certain date. Otherwise, his prices are fairly set in stone. You do get charged per server per hour so be aware of that - a larger wedding that is longer will cost significantly more. We had estimated 175 at our first meeting but ended up having 240 people and the price jumped a large amount. Obviously, this makes sense but just be prepared for that if that happens.
At the wedding, the servers were excellent, very professional and constantly refilling glasses. The bar was set up wonderfully and the bartenders I heard were very professional and made great drinks. Better Events arrived on time and set up the cocktail hour first and then the tent. The cocktail hour looked great, we had food passed around and served and they did everything just like we wanted. Roberto worked great with our food caterer, as well. When I walked into the tent, I was really blown away by how beautiful the tables looked - the plates and napkins were beautifully laid out and the tent looked stunning.
I had purchased seven sparkly sequin chevron runners that I spent a lot of money on and wanted them to be used for the tables, cake table or dessert table, but they only used 3 of them for some reason, using the plain ones I supplied as well, instead. I did specify that all the sequin runners be used and was sad they were not.
Also, at times it is hard to reach Roberto via email. I think calling is the best way to reach him because he often does not reply to emails.
