We used A Sharper Palate for our wedding at the Valentine Museum in October 2018. The entire experience - from sketching out a menu, to discussing alcohol options, to the actual presentation at the wedding - was immaculate. Specifically, we worked with Hope and she really knocked it out of the park. Hope was extraordinarily receptive to our desire for a fall-inspired menu and came up with the following: 1. An autumn kale salad with fennel, apples, goat cheese, and a maple vinaigrette 2. Roasted chicken breast glazed with honey, black pepper, and sauteed roasted apples 3. Smoked beef brisket with horseradish creme fraiche 4. Roasted seasonal squashes with tarragon, scallions, and hazelnut vinaigrette. 5. Caramelized Brussel sprouts with sunflower seeds and red grape vinaigrette 6. Roasted potatoes with rosemary and garlic Hope's menu floored us with her attention to detail and commitment to theme. More importantly though - it was damn good food. The service was absolutely impeccable. I wish I had more excuses to cater events because A Sharper Palate would be my first and only call.

I received so many RAVE reviews from my guests about the food at our wedding. Stephen was unbelievable to work with. He's creative and a true professional that knows the industry so well. The menu he came up with was incredible We did not do the traditional sit down dinner but instead did stations. There were a lot of moving parts and we had a LOT of items on the menu. They fed 215 people with a variety of delectable hor d'oeuvres and small plats and finished it off with the most amazing churros and chocolate dipping sauce that I have ever tasted. The service of their staff was impeccable. Not only was the food amazing their presentation is unreal and anything but ordinary. They truly are a well oiled machine that you can trust to pull off even the most complex of events. Thank you for making our day amazing!

Picking food is a big decision for a wedding and I did tastings at 3 different places total including A Sharper Palate. They were the last tasting I went to and immediately won me over with their exceptional service, professionalism, presentation and quality of food. Truthfully, I almost didn't attend this tasting because it was the only one that cost money (I think $75) but I decided to go for it and it was worth it! They also packed up any leftover food from the tasting and gave it to us to take home which was a great addition especially since we were paying. Kristen was very accommodating and flexible. We switched up menu items a few times and went back and forth but she was always there to answer questions and respond. We loved the food so much that we decided to book them for our rehearsal dinner as well! And we got a discount for booking them for both events. I was also able to come back for a dessert and cake tasting which was extra fun! Kristen and her team were very professional and had overly amazing service during the wedding weekend. She was always present and there for you even before you thought to ask for her. As soon as our first dance was over Kristen was already there placing mine and my husband's food at our seats so it was ready for us to make sure we got to eat. When it came to the food and menu, they were very helpful when it came to dietary restrictions and they also provided kid's meal's for those that needed them! It was a buffet which worked well, and our guests loved the variety. We had mini chicken and waffles at the cocktail hour which were a big hit :) Catering is always going to be one of the larger costs for a wedding, but I am glad we spent our money with this company as the service and quality was just top notch! You definitely won't go wrong booking A Sharper Palate.

Our wedding venue required us to choose from a list of three approved caterers, and after meeting with ASP on the Wedding Crashers Tour, they were an easy choice. Lauren was so personable and easy to work with throughout the whole process, and we loved that we were able to include my parents in our tasting. Her team incorporated some family traditions into our menu (Polish pierogis) and tweaked some of their menu items to suit our tastes. They also allowed us to provide our own alcohol, which put a lot less pressure on our budget. Looking back, the only thing I would have done differently was to develop a more solid rain plan. There were a few small things that came up last minute that I wish we had been able to address ahead of time. Otherwise, my guests were full, happy, and well-hydrated for the entirety of our event!

We recently hired A Sharper Palate for our wedding on May 11, 2019. Hope, our event coordinator, responded to our initial request within just a few days. We were given multiple quotes with detailed pricing allowing us to choose exactly what we wanted while knowing what we were paying for. This gave us great peace of mind. Hope was wonderful throughout the entire process, updating our quote within hours of the request and walking us through each step. On the day of the wedding, the staff was terrific. Dinner was ready to be served early, all tables were constantly bussed, and they took great care of our guests with gluten allergies and dietary restrictions. We have worked with different teams in the past but Keenan Angel and this crew were above and beyond. Keenan Angel was an absolute dream to work with!!!! Going into wedding planning it was overwhelming with all of the choices you have to make. He provided so many ideas and sample menus for us to view not to mention they are able to create ANYTHING - we loved Sharper Palate because we didn’t have to worry about a thing. The attention to detail was fantastic from the food display, to the signage, bar, friendly staff and such an efficient dinner, decor, cocktail hour placement and I could go on and on. Everyone commented on how amazing the food was. Steak on a Buffett I was worried about but it was cooked to perfection. We took Keenan’s recommendations on linens (he recommended thicker ones due to the wooden table underneath) I would never have thought of that. We can’t say enough about the food, staff and all the recommendations. Thank you Keenan!!!

Leslie Stone and her team at Sharper Palate knocked it out of the park for our wedding! We put complete trust in Leslie and she executed flawlessly to provide a beautiful setup and delicious food. We had shopped around to many caterers and found that Sharper Palate had the best quality food, most professional food presentation and highly experienced catering coordinator. Leslie worked with our unique menu requests to create the perfect food pairing for our guests. The biggest obstacle surrounding our wedding was the ability to flip and setup an entire room for a 200 person wedding in less than an hour. We again looked to Leslie, who handled that difficult task with ease. Still to this day, we're not sure what magic she pulled but the room was gorgeous and Leslie completely exceeded our expectations. We were extremely happy in our decision and would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a topnotch catering experience. Our guests are still raving about the food!

A Sharper Palate is an outstanding caterer. From planning and layout of the space to implementing, everything was stellar. They did a superb job catering my daughter’s wedding of about 150 people. Kristen is a rock star. She helped me plan layout, linens, china, flatware, rentals and food options for our gluten and dairy free menu. The food was incredibly delicious with numerous positive comments. All staff are very professional and their food presentation is simply beautiful. I can’t say enough good things about A Sharper Palate. I highly recommend!

The website lists food costs that are quite reasonable, so you would think that they are a moderately priced catering company. They are not. They charge more for staffing and rentals than they do on the food. The most expensive buffet option they list on their website is $25.50 and cocktail hour is $7. They told me that between the food, staffing, and rentals, it would be $85+. So, basically, they want $52 a head for rentals and staffing alone for a 75 person wedding. I didn't try the food. Maybe they are worth it if you are having a more extravagant wedding, but for those of us on a more modest budget, this is not the place for you.

Our corporate event was a success thanks to Carter and her team. The food was delicious, the event set up was beautiful and included special details such as lights strung underneath our tent and linens that coordinated with our firm's brand colors. When a storm popped up that almost blew away the catering tent and some of our high boy tables, the team ensured that the evening run smoothly in spite of crazy weather. They went above & beyond, and when the storm passed, it was like it never happened. Our guests had a wonderful evening and we definitely plan to use A Sharper Palate for future events.
